  1. Well I finally found Unit 4 up in the attic tonight... so this unit is 83S 020625 073 These I posted here a few years ago: Taiwan 72R DA 24420 253 Board sticker DA 213 REV. A, underside label JUN 18 1983 B, lucky enough to score the matching serial box with it. Taiwan 72R DA 18824 223 Board sticker DA 223 REV. A, underside label JUN 02 1983 B USA 83S DA 015042 043 no Board or underside stickers. This week I installed UAV in 24420 , next I will work on the install of Ultimate 1 Meg. Only 015042 remains box stock. LLAP
  2. My day of week above for JUN18/83 is incorrect it was a Saturday, and 16 days after Thursday JUN 02/83. So if the under board sticker and the unit case serial number sticker were applied at the same time, then Saturday would be the start of week. Could also be this board had a fault when brought out in week 21 of 83, sat waiting two weeks for debug and remediation performed off-line on weekends, and went into a unit the following week.
  3. Yes, the numbers I found after opening the most recent 1200 were not what I expected. By the unit serial numbers, weeks 23 and 24 passed between the two units, (somewhere between 15 and 27 days). By the Board stickers the week 25 serial numbered unit board was labeled a week before the week 22 serial numbered unit. And then the underside label shows the passage of 16 days, both dates 6/2/83 and 6/16/83 are Thursdays! The 'B' handwritten on those stickers are of two different hands. The new arrival is holding up well, it has been running Jeff Minter's Colorspace light synthesizer for the last six hours without a hitch. Tomorrow I have a little mathematical grinder that I will set it to running for the afternoon.
  4. Well my third 1200 arrived yesterday, and its keyboard restore went well this AM, So now it's probably time to post the numbers. latest is Taiwan 72R DA 24420 253 Board sticker DA 213 REV. A, underside label JUN 18 1983 B, lucky enough to score the matching serial box with it. earlier is Taiwan 72R DA 18824 223 Board sticker DA 223 REV. A, underside label JUN 02 1983 B my first was USA 83S DA 015042 043 no Board or underside stickers, keyboard has been butchered by prior owner(s) and remains in abject disrepair. I think I'm done now........... at least for this year . Happy Holidays Everyone!
