I'm not sure you can 'continue' putting a pic in that signature
Oh yeah:
http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?act=boardrules
Please do not include any images in your signature. We feel that graphic signatures at the bottom of every message detract from the flow while reading a thread. You may also include a link to your website in your profile. To this end, we also ask that you don't use a larger font size in your signature to help draw attention to it. You may upload an avatar up to 120x120 pixels in size to help customize your profile, and text links are permissible inside a signature.opps.. sorry I'm going to remove the small signature image. Didn't realize it wasn't allowed.... Thanks for pointing this out.

I don't have any next gen consoles, but out of what I do have, my 2600 gets the most play

My friend laments that he never gets to play Atari. Every time he gets it out and starts playing, his kids take it over. Yep, spreading the joy.lmao, that's my friends biggest complaint too.....
-
I gave a friend a starter set last year for Christmas. I think I was just as excited about giving it to him as he was about getting it. I basically gave him a spare vader, some dupe games I had and a set of joysticks. It's awesome to spread the joy of Atari....

While testing and boxing a few dupes that I was selling, I found myself playing Vanguard quite a bit over the weekend. I must say it is an awesome game and loads of fun.
What was really cool is after my game was over it allowed me to continue. My question is, what was the first 2600 that allowed continuing after the game was over?

Money is tight, but I knew I wanted some Homebrews. So I ordered them last night (paid with my own money...so I bought my own gifts, but like I said, money is tight). Got 4 total. Course, I'm probably going to have to wait until Christmas before I can play. So which games did I buy?Ah, that's the secret. You see, I plan on doing reviews for them...one in particular is already going to be my first AND it will be the Christmas special review.
So who's games will get reviewed? How will they fare? Guess we'll all have to wait about a month to find out. Don't worry, all 4 will get reviewed.
lmao went from "going to sell it all" to "can't fight the addiction" can't wait for the reviews. Good luck dude

you should download the game manager off of this page:http://www.atariguide.com/store/gm.htm
i did and i love it. you use it with ms excel, so you will need that too. it helps you keep track of your games and boxes ect... and best of all, it computes a value for your collection, so you dont have to ask people how much they think your collection is worth
I just downloaded it. It doesn't really separate label varients

The Retroblast link is fixed now. It's viewable with Firefox.
I remember when they were out at Target. The controls really didn't feel all that sturdy. They also had the demo displayed on the botton shelf to raise it up to normal height. When I went back a month latter. It was pretty worn out and looked like it was ready to fall apart.

The "Scathing" review link just produces a blank area where the text should be. I could not find it elsewhere on their site.
I've heard that these units are quite cheaply constructed.
Yeah, I got the same thing. I was looking forward to reading the review, as I've never seen one of these machines..
..Al
I got the same thing, because I was using Firefox. I then opened it using IE and was able to read it.
Their loss if they want to alienate a good chunk of visitors. IE is not an option for me unless I want to fire up Windows in Fusion and browse the site that way.
..Al
Sorry guys...
I am one of the new contributers of the new Retroblast. We pretty much were given the site from Kev Steele. He gave it up to pursue a better Gameroom magazine. He also gave us all his old content so that the reviews wouldn't be lost. When we did the site make over, a few pages didn't transition well. We are still working out the bugs. If you do find other errors at Retroblast, please feel free to let me know or post them in the RB forums so that we can correct them.
It isn't our intention to alienate anyone from reading the site. Unfortunately with the new format changes a few pages were overlooked.

He was trying to sell it here, he posted it in the 2600 forumwhere's the thread at? I have to sign up over there to view the pic there.

Thanks mert.
My games came in today and I am very pleased.

I had planned on doing a 30th Anniversary video. It was going to have game footage, commercials and what not to some BG music. Sadly, very few people seemed interested in it.
C'mon...a special video dedicated to the 2600 and only like 3 other people on here were interested or even posted? That made me sad, so I decided to not do it.
Make the video, I'd like to see it....

I just watched your "Give E.T. a chance" video and I agree with you that it is very under appreciated. I also watched your 2 review videos "E.T." and "Jawbreaker" and thought they they were great. I was wondering if you were interested in posting links to those videos over at the forums at www.retroblast.com. I would love to see more classic game reviews like those in the future when you have time to make them.

ooops guess I need more coffee, :embarrassed I totally read the title of the thread wrong. Sorry. Still would be interested in a good scan of the label though.
-
I too would be interested in the scan. The Popeye I just picked up has a really crappy label and can't be read from the top. I would like to cover it with a printed scan since I'm more interested in playing the games rather than having a perfect collection.
