  1. I love the original. I plan on getting this one. Look forward to a physical release.
  2. I had an error screen pop up on me on one of my computers. I ignored it and didn't x out of it and bB worked fine. And it wasy first time playing around with it (with very old and basic experience of basic.)
  3. Curious. I am still learning but Is there a method of getting the same amount pf space without bankswitching?
  4. I think the use of DPC+ is neat and while there may be some use that seems lazy, I am sure that overtime people will find creative ways to utilize this tool. As for the game, cool!
  5. I was using the standard kernel. I think the max number of pixels would be around 8 and in no particular order and would remain until player0 hits them. I will check out your sample program. I'm still kind of learning the in and outs of vbB and my game is kind of my tool to become acquainted.
  6. I had not seen that one. I'll look through it in the morning and hope to understand. Just when I thought researched everything. Thanks!
  7. I was playing around with my game and considered having an added element for difficulty in which should a shopping cart collide with a car it would leave a pfpixel.First I was having difficulty trying to get the pixel to appear at the moment of collision with the car but then I considered having the pixels appear on the far left of the screen. The two things I would like to accomplish was to have the pixels randomly generate in a column on the far left after a cart/car collision. I figured out how to get one to spawn (and only one) but not randomly. I would like to have multiple pfpixel should the cart collide multiple times, up to maybe a few at max. The other issue I had was how to get the player to collide with the pfpixel to make it disappear before a car were to collide with it. I had checked RTs page and the forums but couldn't quite find something applicable to my scenario.
  8. I finally got a chance to play this after so long. The graphics are amazing and I loved the screen where you sink to the bottom of the lake. I wasn't expecting that. I only played through emulation but look forward to playing on an actual system one day.
  9. I did some searching and it looks like the Kraft 800-206 joystick, except the controller was gray. https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0364/6305/products/98cedd0b0c2b401792ffc9059415f06a_large.jpg?v=1524956585
  10. I was curious as to what everyone's joystick preference was. I had personally enjoyed using a Powerstick, Gemstick, and a Gemini controller. I remember having a boxy gray one with a little square button that i loved when i was little. I think it had a skinny stick but i found it responsive and fun to play with. I have been searching for what it was so that i may acquire one. I also got a new old stock Comrex commander joystick that I have yet to play with but I love the clickyness of the stick.
  11. I have found more of a suspense and anxious feeling then one of being scared when playing Atari. The first thing that came to mind was when the spaceships get close to the bottom in Atlantis and their eventual destruction. That used to always get my heartrate up when i was little.
  12. Are you talking about the bar in Orlando? I've heard about it but never been. Only been to the arcade bar downtown once.
  13. It is in the works. It was difficult for me to get the pictures. My schedule has been very weird being the holidays and as soon as I plugged in the cart my kids got crazy. Since i already posted the pics on my blog and havent posted much recently I might as well make a little review of the thing.
  14. I wouldn't. Especially after reading the comments on the Homebrew Publishers thread.
  15. I for one have found this thread informative. I have learned a lot about homebrew publishers and their practices.
  16. I will have to try and record with it soon. Sounds like standard Atari sounds but I think it would be difficult to perform with since unless you are aiming for noise music or droning, unlike the Synth Cart. I think this may work better with samplers. The visuals are neat too. How would someone "dump" a cartridge?
  17. Cool! Considering a physical release?
  18. I took a couple screen shots but am on my phone so I just uploaded them to my blog real fast. https://audiotrough.blogspot.com/2018/12/instrument-review-atari-synthosaur.html?m=1
  19. So I plugged it in. Basically you have a left and right portion of the screen for each joystick. When you press the button it makes a sound and pressing up or down changes the pitch. Pressing select changes the sound. The graphics on the screen change as you press the button. It has a kind of neat effect. The numbers on the bottom seem to correspond with the sound selection. There is nothing to identify what "note" you are on, unless I am missing something. Not as precise or detailed as the SynthCart but could be used for some sound generation or for the flashing video effects. Looks like it may be batari Basic.
  20. This looks cool. I loved playing Star Control back in the day.
  21. I felt that Capcom was testing the waters when they released their Mega Man cartridge not too long ago, but more for anniversary gimmicks. I can see more companies doing that, maybe when it hits a milestone like 50. It is wishful thinking that some of these companies would throw some resources towards these old systems but I would hope the new retro systems and projects like the Phoenix expand the market.
  22. What games did you make from the 80s? Curious if I played any
  23. This is what kind of got me thinking about this post. I had never bought a Hozer game but have seen the labels and recently I saw someone mention their games in an old post regarding counterfeits and I noticed the release versions on an Atari homebrew list. Before that I just used to see the things around. I never really bought off their website. I always found the releases on AA to beat everyone else hands down. I'm still waiting for AA to start influencing big game developers to start making Atari games again.
  24. I suppose it's hard to get into the vintage video game publishing business. You could call it a niche market. Lol
  25. I was always curious about Hozer because I saw they would have an earlier release that I see on other sites. I would agree that Atari Age is top of the line. I have yet to buy a boxed game (mostly becUse most of my collection is loose) but they look amazing and the quality of books and stickers that I would get in my orders are awesome. I wish I could buy more games but always think I'm missing out on something, especially since I just discovered Mr. Atari.
