Thank you Greg and [email protected] for checking it out for me. I appreciate it. I am glad to know that it is not a TIPI issue. I will rebuild my SD for the TIPI and see if that corrects my issue. Again, I appreciate the prompt responses and assistance.
👍
UPDATE: It is not the console, RPi or the SD image. I swapped out the TIPI Sidecar and it works. I took the TIPI and 32K board out of my case, cleaned all the connections, reseated the chips and EPROM, put it back together and it works!
Thanks again for the help!

FYI - I copied the same file to Classic99 and it works:

Doesn't work for me when I give it the TIPI path either...

Good day everyone. I am trying to use PHD 5020 "Music Maker Demonstration" with the PHM 3020 "Music Maker". I have tried extracting the .dsk file using Ti99Dir 6.4a (then converting to TIFILES format) and also tried uploading the .dsk using the TIPI (v1.50) web browser (which automatically creates a MUSICDEMO folder and extracts the files) but either way, cannot get the program to read in the song data. I receive a load error "I/O ERROR 25". I notice that when I double click on a song file (CHILDREN, CHRISTMAS, CLASSIC#1, CLASSIC#2 or ROUNDS) TiDir acts like it is a directory with a file that has a Ti Name of OK. How do I convert this (encapsulated?) file to TIFILES format? What am I doing wrong?

Greetings and Salutations,
Does anyone have a scanned copy of the TI Color Monitor PHA 4100A Service Manual? I would like to fix the convergence but do not know which rings control what and I don't want to get it too far out of convergence flying blind messing with them.

Seriously these ROCK! I really appreciate and enjoy your hard work Sparkdrummer!

Greetings and Salutations TI-Terry! Glad to have you here!!

Shout out to Peter Fleeman whom I purchased the Color Monitor from to complete my setup. Back in the day, I would stand there drooling and awestruck in the store dreaming of owning one. Thanks man!
I really appreciate how accurate your descriptions/photos are in your auctions and how well you pack your items!
Also, a big thank you for this community! Everyone has been so supportive and giving! I appreciate being able to share my passion for this computer with y'all!

Thank you arcadeshopper for calling me and walking me through expanding the disk filesystem on the SD card (https://github.com/jedimatt42/tipi/wiki/tipi-installation). I missed that step on setting up the TIPI PEB! I appreciate it!

Thank you arcadeshopper,
I followed the instructions.
cd /home/tipi/tipi/setup sudo ./upgrade --upgradeline 2 did not work for me. I changed it to "sudo ./upgrade.sh -- upgrade" and it responded with "Current Version: 1.44 Latest Version: 1.44 fatal: unable to write a new index file"
What should I do now?
-
I have an issue with my TIPI PEB upgrading to 1.44. My other two TIPI's upgraded with no issues but when I upgraded the TIPI PEB, it looked normal with the UPDATING clocking on the CALL TIPI screen. I walked away and when I came back the screen was blank and the system would not respond to hitting a key.
I restarted the system and tried CALL TIPI but it does not respond. I am able to ping it on the network and SSH login.
What steps should I take to troubleshoot and can I recover?
Thank you in advance.

So far here are my results (Link to Google Drive D630-Classic99.mkv Video):

Thank you Omega for the boot screen graphic. I still see the XP welcome screen and am unable to get classic99 to start fullscreen, but I knew that would be the case.
So far, I do not see a benefit to changing the registry to replace the Explorer.exe shell.

This sounds like fun! I just voted for "laptop". In the next week or so I hope to break out the old Dell D630, load XP and try changing the registry to load classic99.exe instead of explorer.exe in the registry (HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Shell) then change the boot splash image using one of the following methods:

1 hour ago, arcadeshopper said:why not make a cron on the pi that checks for /home/tipi/tipidisk/flags/ledon and turns it on and then off if the files gone then you can create that file in the ti side with any program
Thank you arcadeshopper, brilliant and simple! Now to figure out how to check Chatti and Group Chat for notifications/msg's waiting. That may be able to be integrated into the Pi program as well.

19 hours ago, jedimatt42 said:This is a request to extend the TIPI services, not just Force Command... Force command does not run stuff on the PI... it is all TI 9900 side...
An extension like the mouse extension or tcp socket extension would have to be added to the TIPI services, to allow controlling Raspberry PI GPIO pins with TIPI messages. If you can play with GPIO, you should be able to learn enough python to author that extension. This has to come first before Force Command can get involved...
---
That aside, I do want to add the ability to author external assembled or C commands for Force Command, allowing authors access to all the routines in the ROM. It's in my list of desires.
Thank you [email protected] Sorry for the generic question. I appreciate the clarification and apologize that I am not precise nor have enough knowledge or understanding about the TI, Force Command, Raspberry Pi and TIPI to be able to offer desired suggestions. I do however, want to learn more about each of these system and hopefully be able to produce something usable to the community.
I thank you again for the time and effort to explore my request and for providing a clear response.

I was hoping to be able to control one of the tipi gpio output pins. Can force command cause a script to run on the Raspberry Pi (https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/usage/gpio/python/README.md)?
A command like LED On/Off? Then it could be incorporated into batch files/programs to toggle a notification led light.
-
Is it possible to have a command that toggles a GPIO output pin? I would like to use an LED as a notification indicator.

Arcadeshopper, [email protected],
Is there a diagnostic program for the TIPI? It would be great to be able to check for connectivity/functionality before presuming a TIPI issue.
