I doubt many people'll jump in here, considering there's already a big, fat, "official" N64 thread here... https://forums.atariage.com/topic/267944-the-official-nintendo-64-thread/

Here are my top 6 [!] faves, in alphabetical order: Atari Jaguar (They look sturdy and reliable, even though IME they really aren't.) Game Boy Light (Cool metallic silver color, nifty backlight.) Sega Genesis (model 2, natch) Super A'can (Seriously! I dig on the logo and the console's color.) Tiger R-Zone (headstrap version) (Also seriously! It may be unplayable garbage, but I genuinely think its design is neat.) Vectrex Well, that was fun. *burp*

Atari Acquires Accolade Brand and IP to Over 100 Games
DeathAdderSF replied to GraffitiTavern's topic in Atari General
Catch you on the flip side, dudemeisters! NOT!! -
I find no evidence of this "Holy Crap" title on teh interwebs. Pics or it didn't happen. But anyway, you're all forgetting the most excellent adventure-RPG hybrid series, Quest for Glory, on the IBM-PC (DOS). Nothing on the consoles comes close IMPO. BUT!! Where consoles are concerned, it's Earthbound or shove it. You know how many times a year I consider buying another SNES just to play that masterpiece?

Super A'can FTW.

Seeing as how the only Poopervision prototype I've come across was purchased from a fellow USA-ican, it seems we actually have a 100% found in USA rate going here, for surfaced protos. (For those not lame enough to be "in the loop" about these things, I acquired a Sonny X'Press prototype a while back. It wasn't very interesting but hey: Preservation FTW, everybody!!)

Yep, def a z80 Softcard clone.

Your favourite fourth generation console
DeathAdderSF replied to Kirk_Johnston's topic in Classic Console Discussion
No option for the Super A'can = poll is nonsense. (Not that I would have voted for it if it were there.) Anyway: Sega Genesis FTW. -
Just a heads up y'all, I've listed the bulk of my Trackstar collection on ePay... Check out Brandon's eBay stuffs! I'm a "research collector" and "collect to use" kind of guy; everything I listed has outlived its purpose for me, thus it's all better off in someone else's hands. So if you're interested in owning & trying out one of these cool gizmos, here's a fab opportunity - as they don't often pop up for sale, and when they do, the sellers are generally greedy bastards.

Supervision: handheld of the less fortunate
DeathAdderSF replied to DeathAdderSF's topic in Classic Console Discussion
A Supervision prototype cartridge appeared!! (Cue cricket orchestra.) Oh. My. God. Which scintillating game could it possibly be? Happy Flappy? No. Devil Paradise?? Of course not, don't be ridiculous. It's... *sigh* ...Sonny X'Press. Because of course it is. Yep. Sonny, that parasite-ridden scooter jockey, has found a way to capture the dim Supervision spotlight once again. Blech. You'll have to excuse me for not going ape-solutely bananas over this out of the blue discovery, but after wasting TWENTY YEARS [!] on painstaking Supervision research (with an emphasis on pain), I was hoping for something far better to surface. Can't a Marpol Brother catch a break?! But, whatever. At the end of the day, a lackluster prototype is better than no prototype at all. And just think: Next time, it could be Wonder Fish! Anyway, the Sonny X'Press page has been updated, noting several differences between prototype and final version. diskman.com/presents/supervision/sonny.htm- 144 replies

Hey, y'all. As the thread title sez, I'm selling more junk. It's been sitting around here for far too long, and I just can't stand looking @ it any more. Please consider checking it out, and perhaps bidding really high on multiple items. 😃 What's available? 39 items, at present. Super A'can boxed system + all 12 games, for example. (You'll NEVER see "REBEL" again, so if you want it, you'd better damn well bid on it now.) Also a "UMC TV GAME DEVELOPMENT SYSTEM" aka the Super A'can development kit. (That's a pretty hefty piece of useless hardware for sure.) Hrm... and lots of Super Fighter Team games; I was using them to balance out an uneven table (j/k?). Brandon's latest batch of stuffs on eBay - now with more A'can! Have fun browsin'! 🤪

At least with Body Blows, there are a few interesting character designs, and the PC version's Ad Lib soundtrack is pretty rockin'. The big no-no was limiting the PC version to only using a single action button. That was necessary on the Amiga side due to hardware design limitations, but why the fjørk would you purposely and needlessly neuter the gameplay on the PC?! It's bloomin' unplayable, it is! (Stiff animation wasn't doing them any favors either.)

Howdy, y'all! So this article on Destructoid appeared, which I personally feel is, like, one'a dem kinda "must read" sorta deals, if'n you're a fan of Zaku, and / or the Lynx, and / or the "retro gaming movement," or whatever: 'cuz it delves into the story of Zaku's inception, development, blah blah et Cetera, and I like to think it's a pretty good story! 👍 *shrugs* I enjoyed reading it, anyway; took me right back to the "golden age" of Super Fighter Team. Have fun!

New IIGS Accelerator In Development
DeathAdderSF replied to SaturnGoddex's topic in Apple II Computers
Seconded. Most "extreme" IIgs users like to make use of all those nifty slots. I mean, why not? They're there. Any accelerator that compromises slot usage is out of the question, IMO. -
Back in grade school, Plok! was one of the half-dozen SNES games my best friend owned. We played it quite a bit, but never could get very far. It's a tough'n! Years later, I asked the Pickford Bros. if Super Fighter Team could borrow Plok for a surprise appearance in PenguiNet's Zaku for the Atari Lynx -- and they agreed! ^ He appears as one of the bosses of Level Stage Zone.
