  1. I've three tasty gems direct from Taiwan, just waiting to be inserted into your Sega Genesis or Megadrive. C'mon now, you know you want them: * Conquering The World 3 game - Sega Genesis / Megadrive * Fengshen Yingjiechuan game for Sega Genesis / Megadrive * Shui Hu Zhuan game for Sega Genesis / Megadrive Check 'em out, watch them, bid on them... Thanks for your interest!
  2. When the Game.com first hit the market, I wanted one -- but (fortunately!) it wasn't meant to be. Several years later I did snap one up, and very soon after had its entire library of games to boot. Was I pleased? With the collection, sure - but with the games? No, sir. No, indeed. The Lynx's worst games are still light years ahead of the Game.com's best games. That said, I did end up passing along an extra (brand-new!) Game.com system to my then-girlfriend in 2004. She loved the damn thing, often waking me up with the racket of her incessant Scrabble playing!!
  3. At some point, there will be a video available, yes. And, the game will make playable appearances at any of the classic gaming venues that I personally attend. As for the playable demo? I can't speculate on that right now. Thanks for your interest, everyone.
  4. Summer cleaning time! Come and get it! * 3 games for Sega Game Gear : Fatal Fury Special + more * Eight games for the Sega Genesis 32x system - 32 bit * 21 games for the Supervision handheld game system For great justice.
  5. Thank-you for your continued interest in and support of Zaku, everyone. We're very happy to have the opportunity to bring a great, new game to the Lynx - and to further reflect that, the Super Fighter Team website has today been expanded to include a brand new set of Zaku pages that are full of updated information and art assets. Check it out @ www.zaku-lynx.com ! While you're there, we invite you to join our Zaku mailing list. This way, even if you don't have the chance to regularly visit the website for news and updates, you will still be informed as to the game's progress and, ultimately, when it will be available for purchase. As always, your feedback is appreciated as we value the input of our customers and fans. Thanks for your attention.
  6. Wow. Phew. *crunch* For some time now, I've wanted to sit down and redesign the Super Fighter Team website. Not tweak it - more like detonate a bomb inside it and start over from the ground up. After all, the original design was thrown together in my hotel room in Burlingame, California, the night before the 2005 Classic Gaming Expo. It was supposed to be a temporary placeholder design, but in the following months as things picked up and became more hectic, there just wasn't proper time to even think about rewriting the HTML. Even so, the thought was always in the back of my mind, and when Super Fighter Team acquired OlderGames last December, that thought came hurtling back to the forefront. Then, on the afternoon of February 6th, 2008, inspiration suddenly struck, and within several hours I found that somehow, even with my admittedly mediocre knowledge of HTML, I had keyed in the basic framework of what would later become my most impressive website design to date. Enter February 24th, and hear my exciting cry of: "It's finished, it's tested, it's, it's... IT'S ALIVE!!!" Well, it's about damn time. After several weeks of hard work powered by Vault soda and the ever-hip music of the Beatles, I am proud to finally present: *** Super Fighter Team website v2 *** 100% hand coded using DOS edit. Dig it, yo! Your feedback is welcome. Extra special thanks to all of our customers and fans, who give me a reason to proudly continue my support of great classic videogames. Never let dreams die!
  7. I've been told that Beggar Prince is pretty good.
  8. Pardon the shameless plug, but my company's brand-new Genesis RPG, Beggar Prince, is quite an impressive feat. More information can be found at beggarprince.com. Thanks for your interest. B-b-but there's so many great ones! The most recent C=64 game to completely blow my mind was the excellent conversion of the Simposons Arcade game. It's more true to the original arcade machine than the PC version [!] as gameplay features are concerned. Truly an amazing feat, especially at a time when the C=64 was on its way out of the market.
  9. Nice acquisition, and very thoughtful of you to share its contents. Prototypes are very interesting bits even if they don't have major differences from the retail releases, as they serve to fill in pieces of history behind a game's development. If you notice any additional differences between this and the release version, we'd be glad to hear of them.
  10. Hey, thanks for remembering. I've snagged the Toki tunes and am enjoying them now. Woo-hoo!
  11. It depends on the size of each game. Tototek's software will show you how much space you're using, and how much remains, with each game that you add to the cartridge. At maximum, you can fit around 31 *small* games on the cartridge. At minimum, you can fit around 7 or 8. Like I said, it all depends on the sizes of the individual games. Each combination is going to present you with a different number of total games.
  12. Tototek's products have easy-to-use software that allows you to drag-and-drop the games you want over to the cartridge. Then they're quickly flashed over, and you're playing them in minutes. The software keeps track of how large in megabits each game is as you add them to the flashing list, and how much space remains. Yes. In fact, the software allows you to configure which game will use which save area on the cartridge, to ensure that you have no conflicts. Game Genie and custom cheat codes are also supported.
  13. Yes, the Tototek products are the best. They're extremely reliable, and the customer service is also very good. In addition they're very developer-friendly.
  14. I keep checking back. How soon is soon? For correctness' sake: Silo64 is a game created using SEUCK (Shoot'em Up Construction Kit). This program allows the user to create simplistic shoot'em ups from a limited selection of parameters. Curious, then, how Silo 64 was a commercial product, whereas the remaining 99% of games created using SEUCK were released as freeware. You're quite welcome, thanks. Happy new year, everyone.
  15. I used to have one of these monkeys, so I remember a little about my experiences with it. When I used to collect vintage computers, I eventually started acquiring some Macs, my favorites being the SE and the LC3 (with its 8-bit Apple II expansion card!). However, a IIfx came into my hands, the gift of my grade school. While there was a good number of game titles released for the Macintosh at the time of the IIfx's appearance, it's nothing like the amount that the PC had. I was sometimes disappointed with the Mac 'ports' of PC games, as they sometimes had all graphical and sound resources changed for the worse (i.e. Wolfenstein 3d) or could only be run in a windowed mode (Alone in the Dark). Still, I had some pleasant times with my classic Macs before selling them all off several years later (all except for the LC3, that is!). There's a website you may want to visit, in regard to classic Mac gaming, and that's the Macintosh Garden.
  16. My one and only Vectrex (purchased for $20 a few years back) has the same problem as the one you're describing. I am a bit ashamed to admit it, but if I slap the back part of the top of the case with a bit of force, the problem corrects itself. I haven't bought a replacement Vectrex system because, well, this oldie but goody is still working, albeit only after receiving a "love tap".
  17. Super Fighter Team adheres to a completely different business model than did OlderGames, and for good reason. I found their "50/50 split" concept to be completely unrealistic, as each and every game project has different factors to consider such as development budget, production budget, potential return on the investment based on the market (games produced for some systems will obviously have better success than those produced for others), etc. Only after weighing all of these factors can a fair and honest royalty rate be reached. When it's all said and done, these outfits are businesses; businesses need to have very concise control over their budgets. Otherwise, it's GAME OVER and then no one gets to have fun and enjoyment from any new releases. As we have all seen, OlderGames obviously didn't succeed with their chosen business model else they would still be in operation under the control of their former owners. In addition, Super Fighter Team develops the majority of our projects in-house, and actively recruits developers based on our own personal interest in their projects. Beggar Prince, for example, was produced entirely by our own team, managed by myself, and the same is true of our currently in-progress projects for the Genesis. While cooperation between an outside developer and Super Fighter Team is certainly welcomed, appreciated and important to us, it is not necessary for our continued activity. As I said, our focus is on delivering only the highest-quality products possible. What this boils down to in essence: If a game is shaping up to be of the same quality level (or greater) than the average games produced during a classic console's time on the market, we'll happily consider to produce + publish it. In addition, we (especially myself personally) are always available to offer the best support for the developer as possible, when and where we can. In the case of Zaku, for example, I've been gladly providing direction, testing, ideas, etc. Developers are not just our business partners; they become our friends, and every partnership is exciting. It's something I had considered at one point, but only if the games were programmed and produced specifically to function on a cartridge. Numerous problems exist in working with disks, the worst of which is easy piracy. Merry Christmas, everyone.
  18. Yes. A great example is the horizontal shooter for Atari Lynx that we will be producing and publishing upon its completion, which is being developed by the Penguinet team. The game is called Zaku, and more information about it can be found @ www.zaku-lynx.com. For Super Fighter Team, the first and foremost focus is on delivering the highest-quality product possible. This is evident in our first commercial release, the role-playing adventure game Beggar Prince, which is available for the Sega Genesis / Megadrive. In actuality, I had never thought 'OlderGames' to be a very fitting name for an outfit that was supposed to be producing new games for classic systems. Rather, it sounded better suited to someone who was simply re-selling games that had been released years before. In any case, we are proud to have acquired the OlderGames name and website, and we look forward to continuing to provide eager gamers with beautiful, commercially-produced new games for their favorite classic systems.
  19. As of December 14, 2007, the OlderGames name and internet domain have been acquired by Super Fighter Team. The individuals formerly doing business as OlderGames have recently ceased their activities and therefore will no longer be operating under this name. As we at Super Fighter Team have chosen not to acquire their back catalog of software, we will not be offering any of the OlderGames-branded products for sale, nor will we be available to offer customer service or support for their products. We thank you for your attention and look forward to continuing to offer you the highest quality in brand-new videogames for your favorite classic consoles. (If you do not see the new pages when visiting oldergames.com, reload the page or empty your browser cache.)
  20. Our new RPG, Beggar Prince, is a title exclusive to the Genesis, and based on customer / reviewer feedback, it's one of the better ones.
  21. Thanks for the kind words of support. I hope you enjoy the game very much. --- Note to moderators: This thread could likely be merged with the existing Beggar Prince thread, if the mood strikes you.
