  1. Sure, you're welcome. I enjoy doing the research, and sharing what I learn. There's one of them in every forum. Don't encourage 'em. I'm all for underdog machines, obviously. But there's a big difference between fun, cool, impressive ones with good games, like the Lynx, and absolute dreck like the game.com and Supervision. And there's nothing wrong with freely admitting that; you're not going to hurt the system's feelings after all. (Somewhere, a game.com is shedding a virtual tear. A buggy virtual tear.)
  2. *proper (Didn't notice it until after the post editing time limit had expired. How careless of me.)
  3. Seeing the games more clearly won't reprogram them to be good. You're still not going to want to play them. According to Dave Nelson, the kind chap who "upgraded" my game.com so I could make peoper audio recordings (i.e. fixed Tiger's SUPER STATIC producing hardware), it's an absolute nightmare to work on this machine. So even if you CAN replace the screen, by the time you remove the many, many, MANY screws from the system + very carefully avoid nicking any of the poorly soldered or glued wiring, et cetera, and trying to put it all back together without catching any of said wires in the casing... Yeah. You're really barking up the wrong tree here. No offense. Just trying to save you a lot of grief over a crap console.
  4. Today's update: Added some details and screenshots for Holyfield Boxing, NBA Live '99, and Small Soldiers to the rumored games page. This info was mostly scooped from the archived website of developer Handheld Games. game.com rumored games page
  5. You just wrecked the framework of your own idea, man! You let them get in your head...
  6. "Hate" is such a strong word. I'm only keen on emulation for research & development purposes. For strictly playing and enjoying the games, I'm a purist so that means real, authentic hardware or nothing. So I understand and support your preference for the real deal. Good on ya, broski.
  7. Super A'can, no doubt about it. 😉👍 (So I could hurl it directly into one of the chasms created by this massive earthquake, like the One Ring into Mt. Doom. Yeah, that'd be sweet.) Ah... but in all seriousness: The Super Nintendo, with Tetris Attack and Earthbound. And that's it, I don't even need another three. And that's saying something, because the Sega Genesis is abso-Scoobly my favorite game console of them all. But it doesn't have Tetris Attack or Earthbound. And that would be a problem.
  8. My favorite of all-time is the IBM Model M. It should be #1 on everyone's list, natch. #2 is Northgate Omnikey 101. The quality is right up there with the Model M. But the big deal for me? It appears to be the one and only keyboard that has a switch for Tandy 1000 TX mode, meaning I could ditch the crap keyboard the computer otherwise *requires*. For everyday use on my primary (modern) machine, I use a Microsoft Natural Ergonomic (the exact model # escapes me at the moment).
  9. Howdy, y'all. This has been in the works for far too long and today, I'm nauseous to announce that: “The end of the game.com” rides again. www.diskman.com/presents/gamecom Yep. My formerly threadbare website about a handheld game system that's even less enjoyable than the Supervision [!!]... is back. Now bloated with far more information than you'll ever care to know, to experience it is a grand adventure in masochism. (Though still less painful than actually playing game.com games.) If you're wondering why I've wasted so much time building a virtual shrine to such a useless piece of plastic stuffed with shoddy electrical components, it's simple: I did it because I knew no one else would. Amen. So come on by and relive all your game.com favorites! (I'd say, "You'll be glad you did," but we both know you'll regret it.)
  10. That's some BULLsh*t. If that's true, they could secretly be making THOUSANDS of the g-darn things, and ripping us off!! Then again, you could be trying to trick me into cancelling my pre-order so you can open a slot up for yourself! See what these amazing products do to us? They inspire greed, treachery and paranoia, and tear us apart! But, c'est la vie. I've been waiting years for a stunning gizmo like this to be realized, and nothing's going to kill my burning passion for it. NOTHING!!
  11. I believe y'all are full of snot. You couldn't have received the product already as it isn't expected to begin shipping until early February. At least, that's what I was told by the place I pre-ordered from: Devious Pete's Honest Gaming. Sounds reputable. Plus, mine's the "OMG SUPER RARE LQQK!" edition, complete with TWO layers of shrinkwrap and a collectible keychain. Only 50 will be made, and I got #49!! 😋
  12. You're welcome. I hope you enjoy it all. ☺️ And to those who passed on this set, for that ridiculously low price: Are you nuts?!
  13. Recent site updates... • November 30, 2019: The game instructions archive on the scans page was updated to include Italian language instructions for 2-in-1: Block Buster / Cross High, Delta Hero, Space Fighter, and Super Block. Not exciting enough for ya? Well, keep your eyes peeled 'cuz I've got a few blister pack insert scans coming along shortly. • December 5, 2019: Surprise!! I'm back with more blister pack inserts, as promised. So... it's not really a surprise. Anyway! You get 2-in-1: Block Buster / Cross High, and Soccer Champion. Soccer Champion's instructions have also been added, in English and Italian. Urrà! Soccer Champion had proven a tough one to find complete. And 2-in-1: Block Buster / Cross High, I noticed, was imported by a firm named Cammarota S.R.L., instead of the more familiar Watary Italia. Curious!
  14. I hear it comes with FREE scratch 'n' sniff stickers. Smells like a good investment to me. Also, are these going to be signed and include a certificate of authenticity? That's one thing I wasn't able to get a confirmation on.
  15. SOLD! Thanks for FINALLY ridding me of this stuff. It was taking up valuable floor space.
  16. You're making the right choice. Although my personal favorite has always been the IIc.
  17. I lowered the price to $400 with US shipping included. Help me get rid of this sh*t already! 😆
  18. Hey, y'all. So, just like the title says, I've got some cool stuff for sale. It's just kind of sitting here in a big pile and I want to get rid of it. Preferably all at once. So le'see what's available, eh? * Turbografx-16 w/Turbo Booster (with AC adaptor and A/V cables, not pictured) - stored in a Sega Game Gear case [!] * Genesis II, Mega Drive II, another Mega Drive II, Genesis 3 * Kisado Connector for TG-16 (to play games from Japan) * Raiden boxed for Jaguar (box a little crumpled) * Lynx I w/carry case (works fine), Lynx II (works, but power button stuck in ON position) * NBA Jam for Jaguar * Doom 32X * GBA SP (with AC adaptor, not pictured) * Super Famicom (Japan) and Super Nintendo (PAL) * Game Gear with composite out mod + GG Everdrive (w/miniSD card) * Mega Key for Genesis (region converter) * Galactic Pinball (Virtual Boy) * Mortal Kombat II 32X Also included but not shown in the photo: * Metal & Lace (for MS-DOS, complete in box w/8 floppy disks (tested!), box is a bit crumpled) * Lots of Genesis and Mega Drive controllers, AC adaptors and even the Sega Mouse (whoopty-doo!) Game systems tested earlier this year & found to be in working condition. However the standard "sold as-is" nonsense disclaimer applies. Asking price USD$300/obo (US shipping included) for the whole set. PayPal only. Hit me up by PM if interested, thx. As I said I'd prefer to sell this all at once. Why? Because I'm lazy. But if you absolutely insist on making offers on individual items... go ahead, I guess. *shrugs*
  19. Just so everyone understands the situation: PenguiNet developed Zaku. Super Fighter Team published it. Super Fighter Team is no longer publishing games. Super Fighter Team will not be developing any Lynx games in the future. Thanks for your understanding.
  20. We are most definitely not "closing." We have simply ceased publishing. We will be continuing to develop games, however. It's clearly written in the link you provided. Our latest freeware game is Tough Guy, a fighting game for Windows. Check it out. As for Zaku, it was already out of print. We produced & sold 1,000 copies in total. Quite impressive for a Lynx game, if I may say so (and I do!). We're satisfied with that, and I think I can speak for Osman/PenguiNet to say he's satisfied with it too. I'll certainly announce any new games we develop; publishing rights to future commercial titles will be licensed or sold outright to other firms.
  21. A friend of mine was always jealous of my high-end Nokia phones, at the time they had the best cameras on the market. And he dug on some of the hardware & software features they had that other phones didn't. So what would happen is, I'd pre-order Nokia's latest & greatest, then take pity on him and sell him my current model. Every time I did that, I'd put my SIM card back in the N-Gage to use until the Nokia delivered my new phone: sometimes weeks, sometimes months. At least, I had him drill a hole in the back of the case, directly above the speaker. That eliminated the ridiculous "taco phone" nonsense. Anyway, back to collecting: I played the hell out of Sonic N and the Sims. Tried to get thru Red Faction but it ran so slow in later levels as to literally be unplayable. And the less said about the sluggish Bluetooth multiplayer the better. It was a neat trinket that I had a ton of fun with -- and still have! -- but it left a lot to be desired as both a phone AND a gaming system.
