  1. sorry before you guys flame me, i didn't see the game room sticky.
  2. yeah, i got that for 50cents and have never even taken it out of the box.
  3. i used to bash the N-Gage, now i own one and i LOVE IT, it's a great phone, and the commercial games are good. I own Tony Hawk, Collin Mcrae Racing, and Ashen, all 3 are good games. I don't have a memory card yet, but I do have a GP32 that takes SMC and i have multi card reader that will work and my experience with the GP32 is that transfer is very slow and it is well worth the couple of $$ to get a cardreader off of ebay.
  4. since i'm a collector and i'm sure there are other collectors on the board, i figured you guys would have an appreciation for it, i'm very proud of it. Not pictured are my Jaguar, XE, GameCube, PS2, PSP is hard to see but it's in front of the Game.com next to the DS Behind the GBA is the Neo Geo pocket color, and laying down is my most prized Handheld. My GP32.
  5. off of Ebay. I was rather young yet when it came out, 11 i think. And my parents wouldn't buy it for me. Once i became a collector, i picked one up off EBAY and i love it, its a great system. Mine is a Lynx II
  6. I have opened a small online shop with varies clothing items and other stuff dedicated to gaming. There's not much yet but take a look. Game Stuff Pro
  7. has nobody read what i've said already? The Lynx, even as old as it is, had very complex chip sets that are much harder to emulate than a regular NES or even PC-Engine and the only source code available is from Handy, which i've heard is a dog to try to convert over to another format other than PC. It is NOT easy to emulate the Lynx, the GP32 has a emu that is nearly 100% and that took almost 2 years of coding to try to get to where it is at and the GP32 is alot more power than the GBA. POCKETNES on GBA is perfect because your emulating a Nintendo system on a Nintendo System. Same with SNES, SNES on GBA shouldn't be possible, but its not that bad because the GBA is almost the same as a SNES and the extra hardware of the GBA allows for better SNES emu than say my 166mhz 8mb ram GP32.
  8. Please, if any developers out there are willing...please make a good atari 2600 emu for the GP32. The one we have sucks as the compatability sucks. You'd be my hero
  9. the lynx is almost as big as the kid..lol, never realized how huge it actually was.
  10. after i had my Lynx and my GameGear side by side, i determined that there is nothing wrong with it but just the technology at the time. I shouldn't have compared the backlit of a Nintendo DS to a Lynx. Plus I also determined that the brightness varied from game to game, like Tournament Cyberball is really bright, but Gates of Zendecon looks fantastic.
  11. Lynx is harder to emulate than the NES and the NES doesn't run that great on my pocket pc.
  12. you have to remember the Lynx had a pretty complex chip set though and is quite difficult to emulate. It was never thought that the GP32 would have any luck emulating it but now we finally have a very good Lynx emu. Thats what people said about MAME and we have a very good MAME emu now too
  13. it's a port of Handy source code, i don't know if Tuscan is going to port it to other platforms or not. From my experience, and from an emulation stand point, i have an ipaq overclocked at 236mhz with 64mb of ram and my GP32 at 156mhz emulates any system i play a hell of alot better than my pocket pc.
  14. i couldn't find an edit button, sorry for the double post, but I was going to open it up, the pedo meter and pot strip, no clue what your talking about but I should be able to figure out what is causing the problem..Thanks.
  15. that was what i was going to do but I thought about it and just wanted to make sure that the brightness was my Lynx or all Lynx units.
  16. makes it brighter. It's turned completely down now and its bright, about a quarter of a turn and the screen is completely whited out by light.
  17. Games I have: Steel Talons: it's ok, its not great Tournament Cyberball 2021: i like this game alot, for me it's fun Hydra: very good, like Roadblasters Kung Food: STAY AWAY!!! HORRIBLE GAME Super Skweek: very fun Chips Challenge: ok, not my cup of tea Crystal Mines II: kinda like Chips challenge but more fun Roadblasters: great game, one of my all time favs Gates of Zendicon: good space shooter, nice graphics and effects Xybots: kinda slow, but still fun Games i've played Shanghai: great game if you like Mah Jong or whatever Rygar: best side scroller game i've played on the Lynx Switchblade 2: it's ok, didn't play that much Fat Bobby: horrible Pole Position: good racing game Electrocop: interesting adventure type game, was good
  18. I bought my Lynx about a year ago off Ebay and it didn't bother me at first, but I've just now got around to playing it alot and the screen is very bright. The contrast is turned to the lowest setting and it's still very bright. Is this a common thing amongst Lynx II systems? I was thinking about buying another system but not if it's going to be the same way.
  19. Hi all. First post. I'm from www.gp32x.com mostly but I'm also a collector, but I saw this thread and wanted everyone to know that TuscanRaider has developed a new Lynx Emu for the GP32!! On my GP32 running at 156mhz, it runs every game i've tried almost perfectly w/sound.
