Hello Fellow AtariAgers, I started a Random Video Game Review Blog, 1 review so far. I hope to update this almost every weekday. Hopefully my reiew style will improve with time. Yeah, after I posted I started thinking those were mostly arcade games. Just ignore/close the thread, like I really care.

I agree with you salstadt. It's not a bad game and as you have already pointed out there are a lot of good features about E.T. Casual gamers probably just don't get it.

I was just browsing Miniclip a 'Flash' games site and I went into the Retro section, most of these are derived from popular 2600 titles: Lunar Command, Flashman, Sheepish (Frogger-style), etc. Does you have a 2600-style Flash game or games you enjoy or do you have some to complain about ? Just curious...

UberNes might work, it supports USB gamepads, I am not sure if it will run the World Championships ROM As I don't own that ROM (which is weird because I have a lot of NES ROMs). GO here - http://members.aol.com/mkwebsite/ubernes.html

Nice work Attendo, I always loved Space Jockey (I don't care what people say about it) and this gives a nice new look and feel to the game, I especially like the way the "Voyage" looks. Although this is a new PC game, I chose to place it in this forum since the game and gameplay are based on classic games (such a Lode Runner) It's Freeware, only 2.8 MB unzipped, and it really is a joy to play (includes a level editior too). Download at - http://www.harveycartel.org/metanet/n.html

My wife loves Frogger, she really enjoys the actual arcade version the best, either playing via M.A.M.E. or Konami Collector Series Arcade Advane on the GBA, but I can't say she likes it because it is non-violent, because my wife also enjoys Soul Calibur II and Primal Fury: Bloody Roar (both pretty violent games). I think it is the simplicity yet adictive quality of Frogger that attracts girls and guys to it.

Weird, I didn't realize I changed the colors, it's probably just the screen cap, it's a .gif so there is some qulaity loss.

Let me say this first, I am not a programmer nor do I claim or aspire to be one. I was just tinkering with the Hack-O-Matic ][ program and changed some of the graphics in Warren Robinett's Adventure. I changed some of the sprites: attempted to make dragons look more aggressive or dragon-like, changed the level numbers to Roman numerals, slightly changed the Chalice, changed the easter egg room to read "Hacked by dragon pup". I know, all of this has probably been done, and done much better that this, anyway here it is - my first attempt to hack a 2600 game... 1Adventue2Many. 1_Adventue_2_Many__dragonpup_.zip

Ditto on Space Jockey, my Dad and I played that game for hours, I didn't realize how repetitive is was, I was just racking up points and blasting every unarmed balloon and house in sight, chumps.

I am not defending Froggo's Karate, but I admit, I enjoyed it when my Mom bought it for me. But I have never re-visited it, I don't think it's something I could even tolerate now. Speaking of Froggo, I also really enjoyed Sea Hunt and that is a game I still play once in a while.
