Thanks Paul. I'm going to look in to RetroArch as a possible solution. I've used it in the past but not sure whether it will allow input mapping for the Atari 800 emulation but will give it a go. Thanks again for all your help Hi Phaeron, you're correct. I wasn't sure what to do with the input mapping so I played around with it and initially got the game working with the Joystick CX40 but that was just for up/down/left/right/fire. I then realised that I would need to start the game with the "1" key and found the 5200 Controller. I'd already added my own key map so (I think) I just added the 5200 Controller on top of that and then deleted the superfluous up/down/left/right etc keys and left me with the Start / Pause etc.... I've attached a screenshot of what I see if it helps Hi Scotty, thanks for the suggestion. I *do* have a hidden keyboard on my cabinet but would really not want to use it if I can help it. Although it certainly is a last resort. Thanks for your help.

Hi Paul Thanks very much for taking the tine to get back to me, its much appreciated The reason i want those keys is so that i can play the Atari 800 on the arcade cabinet i built I have MAME set up and my buttons for starting a game etc translate to those keys I would really love River Raid on the arcade cabinet but need to be able to start a game with either 1 on the keyboard or Enter on the keyboard It is sounding like this is maybe not possible? cheers John :-)

Hi all, I really like the look of Altirra and I'm *this* close to reliving the glory days of the Atari 800 but I've hit a snag! I would like to use the following keys but can't seem to get it to work... Up - Down - Left - Right - on the associated arrow keys on the keyboard (I've got this bit working) Fire button - Left Control key - I've got this working too! Start Game - Number 1 on the keyboard NOT working Pause Game - "P" on the keyboard NOT working Reset Game - "Enter" on the keyboard. I've tried creating an input map set to 'Joystick CX40' as the Controller with Port 1 selected and Condition Flag 1 and Flag 2 ON which seems to work for the arrow keys and the 'left control' as the fire key. But the other keys don't do anything. I press the number 1 (which should start a game) and it just seems to pause the emulator? Anyone any ideas? Thanks John
