Amazing how Mortal Kombat always refreshes itself right before stagnation. First with Trilogy, then with Deadly Alliance, and now with MK9. Street Fighter could learn some lessons so they don't have another 12 year stagnation period like before SFIV.

I've played many versions of both across several consoles. But I think it's clear that Montezuma's Revenge is a better game than Pitfall II. There's just more going on, more variety, more puzzles, more exploration, and the game doesn't move at 5mph.

The Channel F may not be as good as the Atari VCS in most areas, but it definitely has the better controllers!

I love the Channe; F's controllers- here's a button-free, ambidextrous controller with slightly more input options than the NES coming in a decade, that can easily be modified into a one-handed unit for those who would need such. It's just wonderful.
Plus, I love handing it to unsuspecting new players- 'here ya go, figure this out, I'm just gonna get head start on points

It's definitely innovative and clever but I don't know if I'd call it "better" than an Atari joystick. Combining action functions with a moving directional mechanism can make for some awfully squirrelly arcade play. Fortunately that's not much of an issue with most Channel F games.
Zircon had the right idea when they added a "trigger" button to the "Jet Stick" and the Atari-compatible Video Command joysticks.

For those worried about going online with a Custom PS3 it seems Sony is still banning accounts quickly even in 2018. I found the following guide that may help you find a solution but continue at your own risk: https://gbatemp.net/threads/safest-way-to-go-online-with-cfw-4-82-rebug.491630/

A store had clearance stock of the PS3 'Super Slim' for $50 + tax. Sony dropped the ball on build quality big time. Not only is it cheap fragile plastic, it heats up easily as well. This is how Sony wanted to go out? At least the Xbox 360 E was well made and stylish despite it needing proprietary cables. Both paled to their original Slim models though.

My Outrun homebrew for the Colecovision is pretty much done and It could have been one of the best CV game out there. Sadly, I can't seem to move anything on screen fast enough to create the sense of speed. As it is now, it's just a very slow racing game with buildings glitching on the sides. I can't seem to figure out away to speed it up so i guess it'll be on hiatus for now.
