I totally agree with you but 1.there is an alternative to sturdy box (cos from Belgium it costs a lot more than an envelope), for exemple fold the box flat and put it between 2 layers of cardboard and put that with the cart in an bubble envelope 2.not everybody is thinking straight, so it is up to you, before or when you pay to insist for a box Same thing in some shops, in Europe we have a "deluxe" pawn shops chain called Cash Convertor and they have the most horrible price stickers, impossible to take off, leaving traces of glue,.... and you can be sure that on a cart they will put the price on the paper label and not on the back, destroying it completely if you want to take it off and if you dare mentioning they look at you like......

they are both good so your choice about the quality of the game but about the type of play you like if you like 3d shmup----> starfire (à la Star Raiders, Star Voyager, Starmaster,...) if you like space,shooting ---> conquest of Mars (à la Super Cobra,....)

dont have a lot of time but I suppose I could write shorts reviews of the homebrews I have I will be harsher than most of the reviews I read not that I dont like the new games but 5/5 is perfection so not a lot (if any) deserves that score in my mind improvements are always possible even if I never could write any games

I tried to analyse the feeling more than once, but it is difficult there is some chilhood nostalgia part but I like to play other games of that era (colecovision, intellivision, odyssey2), machines that I never had before also I like different games than I liked then (I enjoyed E.T. and Pac Man when I was young) now I like 2600 games that are quick and fast, if they have a lot of instructions, a lot to learn, I am not so keen I like new homebrews but I have to be able to put the game, play it, be in it Cause I sometimes I just play 15 min just to relax
