  1. Going through my collection of comics, I was looking at the series ALPHA FLIGHT from marvel on the back cover of each issue an ad for parker brothers videogames Frogger, Tutankham, SW Return Of Jedi, Q*Bert, Popeye, Super Cobra, Frogger different ad ("different croaks for different folks"), Q*bert for different consoles with graphics comparative, Frogger for diff consoles, Popeye for different consoles, frogger/popeye/q*bert for atari computers, parker new video hotline, SW Arcade Game, Frogger II, Montezumas Revenge... then on issues 19 and 20 dated February and March 1985 Risk the boardgame then finish Did Parker prepaid the back cover ad and as the videogames crash was there decided to advertise the boardgame instead?.....
  2. space games (can we really talk about shoot em up for the 2600?) and platform games being one screen or scrolling but with different levels not repetitive à la Space Invaders
  3. seeing that some new homebrews are conversions of arcade games or other format, are there any copyright issues? like LADY BUG and CONQUEST OF MARS, are the programmer or Atariage itself investigate first before releasing them? how does it happen? any precedent problems?
  4. Yes, V3 is another hack and a very good one, I like it better than V2 because it puts the third level from the arcade into the game. The Wolfenstein that Packrat sells is an earlier version of The Next Mission, I have not played it but as I understand it the Packrat version is inferior to the version sold in the AA Store. I would buy it from Al if I were you (Hell, I bought it from Al and I am me) WP just tried V3, yes it is cool, I remembered that in the arcade Venture, when you finished a room, it appeared on the map as being done (completeely colored), too bad none of the 2600 versions have that but it is just a detail
  5. I am a fan of Venture, Venture II and Venture III but I must say Wolfenstein is more enjoyable that all of 'em. A good game to say the very least. Buy one, you won't regret it. WP Venture III? what is that another hack? Packrat sells Wolfenstein VCS, is it the first version or is it the Next Mission?
  6. I thought so cool that they are part of my collection now.... here in EUrope they are nowhere to be found...
  7. I found those two and one swordquest in Orlando. But have no idea what are their values...probably not a lot
  8. is it working are they all empty case?
  9. Magmax asked Are there any differences in the packaging for the special editions of these games? Not true, as explained at CGE from the people selling the game, (I happenend to score boxed versions of each), the ROMS are different as well... I know for a fact that in last ninja, your weapon is different, you have a samurai sword instead of a shuriken. There is a difference in the NERDs roms as well... Not just box difference... helloooooo, differences in PACKAGING:)
  10. and me who spent the evening scanning the lot anyway here are the special edition boxes
  11. the only difference between the games editions is a sticker for the special edition I will post pictures
  12. I am in Belgium I can pay with paypal trade possible it doesnt have to be boxed items but preferqbly the game with instructions
  13. I have been lucky to be at the CGE with a friend so I can try the 2 different editions of those games and compare them I will do that this week end if qnybody is interested I can also post some pictures of cart, box, instructions
  14. are you going to bring copies of your book?
  15. The $1000 you paid were there funds of your paypal account or part of it or the whole amount were coming from your credit card? I am asking you that, because I have been ripped off 3 times like that (no big amount like that but still) and instead of complaining to Paypal (pretty useless clearly), once I received my monthly VISA invoice with that payment made, I complained to them directly and every time I was paid back. Dont know if that solution is valid in the States.
  16. I am in belgium but next week in Orlando then to the CGEXPO in Las Vegas I can trade you one Advance dungeons and dragons overlay against another one
  17. I like that kind of puzzle game....but I think the beginning is too difficult I gave up Pity....
  18. the picture is really crap sorry about that I can make a new one if anyone is interested yes I know it is super football for 2600 just thought that mislabeled game was funny
  19. here are some pics as I have no idea what they are worth trade or offer, please
  20. my 2600 super football says CX26154 CA400226-154 on the picture label but on the title label it says SUPER FOOTBALL ATARI 7800 CA400225-154 there is no super football for 7800, right? here is a pic really unclear but it gives an idea
  21. any interest in those 2 games? complete in box I can provide pictures and loose cart of OBELIX and SANCHO FOREST I am in Belgium trade in CGEXPO and by post welcome
  22. the gun is probably better than the "sword" but now all the villains seem to look the same (well for the first 10 screens I checked) that giant snake looks cool and is impressive but I like the diversity that you had in the previous version even the silly looking enemies, it is different than other games and gives its own personality you should keep them ps if it is the title screen, it looks really confusing but I repeat, brilliant game, I will follow it closely
  23. first, congratulations for this game it is really cool the only thing that bothers me (but it must be me, cause nobody mentions it) is that his sword looks like a giant....retractible...penis..... anyway otherwise, it is quite fun I will definitely buy it on cart and I will try on my CC1 this week end
