  1. I am nterested in the N8...kind of want one as long as the deal is right..
  2. Agreed 100%. I just checked my N64 boxes and you are correct. When I got a NES/SNES/N64 game, I would just use a razor and cut the plastic on the side so I can slide the game out. So MOST of my game boxes still have 95% if their plastic on them Everyone has the H-seam on them. No question this is a re-seal/fake.
  3. I've got a copy of Windows 95 UPGRADE on floppy disc. I am sure I have a few copies of 95 CD someplace... Not sure I would give it up but, if you Needed a copy... maybe we could work something out... Found this after about 10 seconds in google... Edit...didn't notice others had this link If your going to install Windows 95, you want osr-2.5, it was the last version. I created a VM on my version with the plus! pack and all the trimmings... Including some dos games. Oh it brings back memories...
  4. Goodwill used to offer good deals but, now they can be crazy prices. I was in one the other day, in the glass case they had a "claimed" sealed Wii, not even the version with a game. They wanted $250 for it. If I didn't care about a sealed box, a block away was a Pawn shop, they had stacks of them for like $30-40 each, and you could even get them down to $20-25 if you pushed them a little. And that is in a box too.. I honestly think they would take less as now days you cant even give away Wii systems as there is so many out there. Some times you can get a deal on single games but, systems are rare if ever.
  5. Agreed if you have one... Or if you plan on doing this long term, Do a A/V mod if your comfortable with a soldering iron. As I understand it's not too hard. A Kit on eBay for composite is like $11 shipped pre-wired. And it will give better results than a VCR over all.
  6. If you like RPG type games, Grandia 2 was my crack. Loved that game. Great system too bad Sega killed it before it's time was up.
  7. I'm still battling with how everything is going to be hooked up. My original plan was to go with a few RetroTink 2K devices for each type of source but, with a discussion I started on Reddit, The RetoTink will not keep it's settings once powered off and can not be remote controlled My thread on Redit... https://www.reddit.com/r/retrogaming/comments/9wqbi4/retrotink_2x_can_it/ and my direct tweet from the DEV of the RetoTink… https://twitter.com/retrotink2/status/1062567300384022528 So, now I am leaning towards the Framemeister due to full remote control (s-video, Composite and component switching) and this opens my door to RGB, with a lot of systems with cheap cables and no mods needed, I might go this route.. So, although I am not crazy about Scart as a cable format, it seems this might be the best route on SOME consoles, due to available cables and no mod needed on a lot of them. Others I can just S-video mod. Now looking for Scart auto switchers that can do RGB... Ah, that is what I wanted to see.. http://www.gretrostuff.com/store/gscartsw/ Oh, crap $220... this is going to get expensive ! Any other good options that is not going to break the bank for switchers ?
  8. Maybe I'll make your an offer on your F-zero... Someone stole mine
  9. Awesome thanks ! Still working on the stuff before the I get the cab. My console list is pretty much together, about 8 of them need to be modded in some way (S-video is the minimum now, really want to avoid composite so I don't need a 2nd or 3rd RetroTink.). I looked deep into RGB and although it would look nicer over all, it would be too much to actually go that route. I hope the RetroTink will remember what input was last used or my thoughts are out the window and might have to find a different device. I wish the source input on that device could be IR controlled so I could switch between composite, S-video or component, as I could macro it out for each system and save me a good amount of money. Maybe there will be a 3x model with IR control
  10. This appears to be something with the RF, would just doing a A/V mod by pass this and make it a working system ?
  11. Let me know when you get your RetroTink 2x... As I wont be ordering them for a little bit, I want to know how well they work and some details on it..
  12. I have a CLD-A100 and a few games for it... I wanted to the Turbo addon for it but, dam... it would drive me bankrupt never mind devorced from my wife for buying it !
  13. Do you have the directions for install on a PDF or something so I can review it so I can see what it takes to install ? I want to add S-Video to my 7800
  14. Any other ideas on this issue... It's such a nice looking 2600 light six switcher, I don't want to abandon it. It's even got all it's paint around the switches, something hard to find these days..
  15. I have an Atari Light Sixer, the problem is, there is no serial number listed on the bottom. Where is it located ?
  16. I hear ya. When I was younger, I had a Vectrex with 21 games (if you don't know, there was only 23 games for the system), all in the box with all parts (every game had box, screen cover and manual)... I sold it because I wanted a newer game system at the time Even today i regret it..I replaced it but, only have 3 games for the system and they are just lose games, no boxes or anything.
  17. I found a cord in one of my MANY boxes from that... And it works ! Thanks for everyone's help !
  18. I don't know but, I should be... this is PART of my collection I will be sorting though tonight. This big box was packed away with games for almost 30 years, there was everything in this box... Every system you can think of from the Arcadia 2001 to Jaguar with 4 levels of games. The only thing left in this old box is 2600 games... I'm sure it's over 100 different but, I wont know till I really look though it...
  19. I tried to plug it into a different TV and it did the same thing...
  20. Tried a 4 switch 2600 using the same power cord to the same TV, it works perfect. I don't think it's the TV. RIGHT now, I am only using RF, I was going to S-video mod this 6 switch because the case looks brand new (it's impressively clean), the 4 switch is all scratched up and paint is faded off... The TV I am using is a LG 1080p TV (with no stand, as you can see in the video) been using this TV to test consoles....over 25 have been connected to this TV from Component, S-video, Composite and about 10 using RF. Only problems were because there was a problem with the consoles (about 4 gave me issues) The end goal is to get this 6 switch as my primary console. As this looks like a RF issue, I've been suggested to just A/V mod it and by pass the RF...not sure if that will fix it.
  21. I just want some people to remember something. When the original Atari broke up, everything was sold off, the rights to games, and even the name Atari. The name Atari was purchased by a legal firm. None of the original Atari people are involved with this new system (unless something has changed) General thoughts on this console is just another Android device with a new GUI. So, it could be a backed startup who got the name Atari and rights to the games that is doing that. We've had a long time to hear things but, all we have is a bunch of pictures of a possible prototype. I've been a die hard Atari game from when I was 8 years old with the 2600 (day one owner of a 5200 and a 7800)but, this system is a complete wait and see type thing. I need content and tons of it before I would even think about dumping money into this.
  22. Hey all, Sorting through my 2600 machines, my light 6 switch one is in the best shape body wise, so it's the one I want to use for my collection. I pulled it apart, cleaned it up, looks like new. The issue is, when I hook it up, it flashes static. Like in this video ( just created). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WHtqJYbxXsY Power block is OEM, tried it on a 4 switch 2600 and it works perfect. Any idea ?
  23. I have a full size Ms Pac machine. I think the best pac-man is Pac Jr. The scrolling mazes make it much more challenging. I have the board that just pops into my Ms Pac arcade machine for Pac-jr
  24. I have 4 2600's (one a sears model). not including my 7800 and 5200
