So Fridge Chesnais' touting the Taco flexibility of the VCS sandbox mode is taken right from the Sony playbook when they had the "Other OS" feature that they removed due to people buying up the systems to use for other uses (GASP!). I guess Sony took a heavy hit on the hardware when they realised no one was buying games for those systems (I do not believe that BS about hackers, they hack it anyway). Interesting plan, to hope to sell the system on the Other OS feature, but then you are not locking in people to buy games from you. How does Atari expect to make $$$ if everyone is using Other OS?, this directly bypasses the revenue stream, Atari should know Apple specifically got into the services because hardware is not where the money is at anymore. Fridgenais, where does all this put you at? You have a system due to come out in 2 months, not 1 game studio has been announced, no real demo of the system has been shown (Windows does not count) and you have yet to advertise the system in any meaningful way. Does anyone know if there is a Tax break incentive for using Linux when you sell a "computer" ?

Atari is coming across as a teen on social media with the updates "Tune in tomorrow! I'll be dropping the Bomb biggety news update!" Most other companies actually have the problem of people hunting for updates because they have so much going on, like all those spy car shots in camo. or Leaked cases or pieces of the camera for an iPhone. Coleco Chameleon, Now Atari with edited videos, Why can they not show 1-unboxing 2-hooking up cables 3-turning on system 4-loading game All in 1 continuous segment, This is not a Youtube Fashion Makeup haul video where you expect 50 jump cuts per minute, you have all the time to make the perfect take. Jump cuts ALWAYS HIDE incompetence, and is extremely unprofessional. I feel they ARE indeed hiding something, and if it is proven that the cable running inside the cabinet is indeed what is running the game, then they are no better than Mike Kennedy, Smatch and all the other FAKE CONSOLES. We need to see a full 360 demo, none of this "You cannot touch or look at the back of the system". This obfuscated video just raises more doubt that they actually have a functioning device ready. If one idiot can pass of a Super Nes mini as a prototype, expect another to try the same, they did it for the first prototype with tempest. If I was Atari, I would have included a Windows 10 license out of the box for teh little additional cost, now if you have to buy a full WIN 10 license that will add a lot to the end box, at least this way they could really sell it as a Windows PC as well as a game console. Still destined to be a dumster fire in my opinion. I just have to wait until spring to witness it burn, at least R-kellz 2 side chicks are keeping me entertained with drama for now.

(sorry, I hear that in my head) was that they let idiots at the top run wild, they needed someone to say "HEY!" we are going to concentrate on 1 console and 1 handheld. Instead you had the idiots that were obsessed with ADD-Ons, making console after console so no one wanted to buy anything, resourses were stretched too far and money was wasted on failed projects, Sega CD, Sega 32-X, SEGA+CD+32X, Sega Saturn, Sega Neptune, Sega Pluto, all these things should have been given the golden axe at stage -1, a complete waste of resources. They should have just went straight from Genesis to Dreamcast. It is not just money wasted on development, but also you are doing damage to your cusomers, every time you release a console that fails, you inevitably will lose Sega fans, they do not have $$$ to buy everything.

I have a very bad feeling Atari is going to get sued when this console comes out, I cannot imagine how many patents Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft have for any and all designes and functions that were never even used. What does Atari have to offer? NADA!, they dont even have money to hire a decent match-book lawyer. I would suggest that Atari sends out those backer consoles before they get sued. FAQ Q-I received my Atari VCS but when I took it out of the box it smelled like Pee. A-We had to change factory because the first one was charging too much, so we got one that also refurbishes Urinals, so we can pass on the savings on to you. Q-I tried to log into the Atari Store but it kept saying "error, no connection" A-Try turning the game console OFF for a few days, then turn it back on again, if that does not work, move the console to a new location in the home, this would be a good time for you to read up on game development, the sandbox mode can be used to play homebrew games! SANDBOX MODE! Q- After being turned on for 30 minutes, I smell burning, is this thing safe? A- Our product meets the highest of standards, it even has the "C E" mark on it, Q-I received the package from the Delivery service, but when I opened the box, there was nothing but a brick in there, what gives?
