  1. http://pineapple.zapto.org/library has hit the 385 document mark... http://pineapple.zapto.org/hard.shtml has reached 300 items.
  2. I'm actually not sure, the copy I have came with my Clone IIe.. I can't try it on anything else... It looks primitive enough to II+ plus I don't know for certain. Maybe early versions 1.0? They are prodos based though..so I guess thats a bit of a heads up..
  3. Apple Access is a but ugly piece of software, but it does seem to do a reasonable VT100 implementation. If you get to adventurous in linux though you'll probably still confuse it though.
  4. TLP's sister, pineapple.zapto.org has got its Hardware Database flying. It now matches manuals for cards if they available from the library, and the library itself is reasonably stocked, I didn't get as many matches as I thought I might from hardware to manuals, but then the library is full of other things aside from just manuals. On both sides, the PHP logic has improved so you don't get null results displayed, and any links are accurated not a click and pray affair. A
  5. We have an alternate single page Mega Menu up as well as the original hierarchic menus. Mega Menu can be selected from the Main Menu should you wish to try it. It'll probably be slower to display, but with hotkeys enabled quicker to navigate once you get used to where all the keys are. A
  6. Memory? Seeing as it looks reasonable stable across the bottom there?
  7. Who was looking for word juggler? I might have it.... A
  8. Ok, so if we're really in IIe mode, then you'd probably only have 19.2k available, and then a serial link gives you shell access. What would be really interesting would be if you could appletalk the two together However, I left the GS info in there, because a router doesn't have to be used with just one device. Your friendly pi has 3-4 serial ports on board.. If floppys are really just a backstop then it'll probably get you by with a minimum of fuss. But have had problems in the past, with DD formatted in a HD drive in particular if my brain cells are working properly. I like the work off the HD, always makes the most sense to me, even more than all these flopulators that are out there now. A
  9. My two cents worth on this one, is only to make sure you've got all genuine low density drives. Its a lot more reliable than using high density drives on low volume floppies. Otherwise I'd probably serial attach the two beasts together. Speaking of which, if you bang the IIe card in your LC you could always PPP to your linux box, over a serial link. I have 1 box (its a pi really) set up to handle incoming from my IIe or GS, so it'll give you shell on arrival, but once in, you can start PPP if you're on the GS. Or you can script the startup on the GS in marinetti. If you need access from a IIe and a GS set the port speed to 19.2k if you're only using a GS go for 38.4k. On a slightly less related note, are there nubus slot doublers, and is the LC a nubus slot? Ahh I see its not nubus, its a PDS. A
  10. Well really nothing, other than A2 is why I'm here reading the Atari Rage in the first place. And seeing if any other A2 users are of like mind.
  11. I am aware of course that AtariAge breaks down into Atari Age, but particularly the first few times I looked at it, I kept thinking, Atari Rage. For people cranky with their 'pooters. I still see/think it from time to time... anyone else get that too? A
  12. Is there a current link for that? It goes nowhere now...
  13. TLP managed to snarf a mention in this edition of Paleotronic. https://paleotronic.com/paleotron1018/paleotronic1018-75dpi.pdf I've also had some Finnish guys looking around, at the last SuperBBS in existance. Risto turned up first, Author of the SuperBBS Software followed by a "journalist" doing an article on Finlands halcyon BBS days.
  14. pineapple.zapto.org Hardware Database - Searchable images for card identification - 273 items indexed Library - Searchable collection of pdf's displayed onscreen or downloadable 368 catalogued items tech notes, manuals, books. plus other assorted information about my CloneE, photos, and projects.
  15. Has it turned into a zombie? Web site is still there... doesn't look like anything terribly recent though, January was the last announcement..all its servers are empty.
  16. I haven't seen a dial-up BBS in years, although oddly enough I came across a dial-up ISP not to long ago. The WifiModem works well. IT has some foibles but for the most part does exactly what it says. It can't for example drop carrier like a real modem can, so you need to log off from the service gracefully or cycle power to the wifimodem to break the telnet connections. But thats fairly minor. You mileage will vary if you want to download as well. The only thing I can get to reliably work is x-modem. Something about punting it across a TCP stream seems to stop Z-modem. There's a few to choose from once you get going though... tlp.zapto.org:23 (shameless plug) The Lower Planes cqbbs.ddns.net Captain's Quarters a80s.ddns,net:6502 A80s BBS A
  17. If I recall even thats not guaranteed, I would've thought 5 was more likely, what else goes in there aside from a drive controller? Be interesting to try and come up with a consensus on which slot to put them in, and patch all that software
  18. I found that after I started pineapple. They look interesting. I explain in my intro, I couldn't get apple, apple2, 6502, and the next apple that came to mine was pineapple. So that was it
  19. You know what would be handy. If we could get what slot the boards expected in for the ones you can't choose. Used to be 4 usually from my recollection, but sometimes others. A
  20. Hey there, pineapple.zapto.org New A2 resource site. Home of the Hardware and Library databases. Enter some details off your unidentified card and see if it can give you a match to sort out what it is. The Library contains some 130 pdf documents at present, Tech Notes, private ramblings, manuals, schematics. Also searchable if you're looking for something in particular, view the results online or download the pdf if you want to. My own crazed ramblings and tribulations with CloneE and his GS brother, that never seems to work. Little bits of hardware and projects to add to either or both. Some odd photos... floppy disks, CloneE and Wishlist in the Photo Gallery. As my physio is want to say, use it or lose it. Logo doesn't show up very well here, its partly in white. A
  21. I'm inclined to agree.... straight to hdmi without mucking about... just got to find the readies for fork over for it :/
  22. I find it amusing you have in every scene a revolver in the background or on top of a floppy drive, somewhere ... Must be for the bugs eh?
  23. Well it sounds impressive... isn't thats what those files were always for? Who knows how large a gigglybyte is?

  25. Did we discover the ROM version of this GS? I didn't have anything GSOS on mine until my microdrive arrived. I just discovered its a ROM0 and it won't run GSOS without a ROM1 upgrade regardless of memory. So there's a possible spanner in the works. The WOZ was stock with a ROM0.... A
