@Clint I was just wondering if the Jag could be cloned or if a FPGA Jag could be developed? The only reason I ask is that these systems can't last forever and there are very few of them out there and they continually rise in price.

@Tornadoboy That's really cool! Never knew there was a sequel in the works. Thanks for sharing! ๐๐๐๐ค

@Opcode Just seeing Kung Fu Master on the list has me jumping around like my like a 10 year old! Great list of games ๐๐๐!

@Wave 1 Games Keep it in if there is a reason to or it's necessary. I've been playing games for over 36 years so just try to make the best game you can make. Don't say or show anything until it's time. Gameplay is KING. if there is constructive criticism. Listen to it. I'm not a programmer, developer or a composer but I've played games long enough to know what it is good and what is bad. Make the best game you can and be humble. Lastly, treat your customers and fellow gamers well. That will go a long way for you in building trust and respect for all involved. If there is an issue with your games? Rectify it and be as transparent as you can. Not judging or bagging on you. Let your games do the talking. Most importantly of all. Listen. Good luck! ๐

Everything but Ocean Ambience. Music tracks are varied; Which is a plus. Like with any good soundtrack or album. You just need to put them in right sequence to fit each stage.

@Saturn Used to play along to Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Fishbone, Van Halen, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and tons of others. Stryper is good. ๐ Road Rash on the 3DO had a great soundtrack. Everytime I hear a certain metal band I think of EGM and the NES/Super NES/ Genesis. Good 'ol days! Don't forget Saxon! Ha! ๐ค

I liked all the tracks but I'm a metalhead so that was my favorite! Too bad you couldn't license a track that would be perfect for your game. It's by a band called Accept. Track is called Fast As A Shark! Good luck, man! ๐ค๐

@Wave 1 Games. I commented on the music and really dug the metal soundtrack. Anyway, is that something you created or did someone create that for you? Liked it! More metal! ๐ค๐

Thanks for the info. I've been out of the loop on this. Doesn't like look I've missed much. Wonder what E3 will bring? They better bring it after dogging Analogue.

Just wondering if there has been any progress?

What's Your Pipe Dream Games On The Jag.
VintageGamer74 replied to Atariboy2600's topic in Atari Jaguar
I don't want any ports. I was simply saying that too bad this stuff didn't come out in 94 when I first got my system. I'm under no delusions that this will ever happen. Last Strike and a couple of other REAL releases will be cool with me. -

Salamander, Life Force, R-Type, Gradius, Punisher arcade, Spy Hunter and some type of Street Fighter II or Metal Slug variant. Not saying the Jaguar was easy to develop for but from what has already been said: less bugs, better development tools and a mountain of cash maybe could've had helped some. I'm not a programmer nor an "insider". Just an assumption. Again. Too bad Atari couldn't have had made a better go of it. -

I would have loved to seen a ports of Axelay, Phalanx, Thunder Force, Darius, Gunstar Heroes, Gex, Mercs, or anything else I grew up with. I obviously lean towards 2-D. I'm not asking for a port. Just would have been cool. -
@Wave 1 Games one more thing. The Megaladon mix was my favorite mix. Very metal and very good ๐! ๐ค๐ค๐ค

What's Your Pipe Dream Games On The Jag.
VintageGamer74 replied to Atariboy2600's topic in Atari Jaguar
I can only imagine if something like Last Strike, Protector or just good games in general would have come out when I first purchased my Jaguar in 1994... Which I still have. I can remember the long droughts between games and feeling let down and when I finally got Checkered Flag, Kasumi Ninja and Club Drive. I wanted to love Trevor McFur but I thought it was dreadful. They just weren't great games. Not enough Dooms, AVPs or Tempest 2000s. Too bad the Jaguar didn't get more quality platformers or shooters back in the day. 2-D just seemed to be an afterthought to the regime at Atari. 3-D was the rage and the Jag, at least to me, couldn't cut when it came to 3-D. -

I was simply stating. Wasn't directing that at anyone. -

Any hope for future A+ titles on the Jag at this point?

I'm talking about Kasumi Ninja. Don't even get me started on Double Dragon 5! Atrocious!!! -

I wanted to like this game. I purchased went it was first released. I was so disappointed. Visually it was fine but the game play was no better than a Gameboy fighting game. Very simplistic... Considering the delays it went through back in the day. -
A couple games I would love to see are Time Pilot and Star Wars arcade game but whatever you produce? I'm sure it'll be a great system with great games. ๐
-
Whenever you do release this? I'm buying!!! Good luck! ๐

I remember when I had this game. I was so disappointed when comparing it to the FX games on the Super Nintendo. It wasn't just the graphics but the game play was so uninspired. The controls were average at best and that's being kind. I just remember asking myself that this isn't all this system can do, is it?
