Wow! Looks fantastic 👌 Played Moon Patrol to death when I was a kid. Will this be available on the OMNI? Keep up the great work!

@Pete5125 That's a good point about comparing it to Mario but even on it's own, it's just a decent game. That's why I brought up Crash because Crash took what a kart game was and actually added to the genre and in some respects surpassed Mario Kart. I had no problem with characters but my problem was with the character artwork. It was uninspired to me. I don't pretend to know but too bad Atari wasn't on better footing because it does have flashes of something good.

Great news! Just went back and watched the trailer and I can't wait until this is released! This is definitely "must own"!

@CyranoJ Never too late? What does one need to experiment with Jag game development? Just curious 😉

Jinks Review... Put it off, but here it is...
VintageGamer74 replied to gorfcadet's topic in Atari 7800
Wow!?!? I've played a lot of games in my life. Some of were great/good and some were bad/terrible but that doesn't look fun at all. Maybe I'm missing something but even watching the review was painful 😣 -
@Flojomojo Never thought of that but not a smart way to invest your money unless Polymega over sold what they had and how many backers they thought they could get. Maybe both parties are delusional? Either way seems far fetched at best to see this becoming a mainstream product selling hundreds of thousands. 🤪 I'm also a gamer from way back but I'm glad nostalgia didn't cloud my judgement on purchasing this project/product.

One of reasons I was excited when I first heard about this was because of fpga, modules and uniqueness of the system. When this all changed I definitely pulled back from backing it. I know a couple of friends who were also were excited but now it's basically a PC and that has quelled their excitement too. I'm not dogging them but if I can build a small form factor PC, why do I need this machine it's current form. Most gamers that I know are younger than me and are happy to emulate because they don't want to buy any games. They just want to play old games and move on... Sadly. Who are these authorized centers swapping out the the CPU? I just don't see this selling anymore than 5,000 units at best. If I'm wrong? I'm wrong but my point is with such a small installed user base. Who is going to partner with them with little to no money being made. Wouldn't be easier for the user to switch it out themselves? I think most folks are capable or know someone who can help this swap. Lastly, with a negligible installed user base; What mainstream publisher will partner with them to license their IPs to them with no almost no chance at making a profit. Rant over. Good luck to them.

That is awesome! The artwork is fantastic! You do good work, sir! Keep it up!!!

I don't understand the criticisms of retroblox/polymega towards the Mega Sg? If their goal is to deflect their shortcomings? It's really childish and unprofessional. They have consistently released product and polymega can't even show a Saturn game running on their hardware... Have there been any actual games running on their hardware? Unlike the polymega. I have a Super nt and I will order a Mega Sg because they actually deliver!

Great artwork. Very impressive. Also, can't wait for Last Strike!!! Cheers! 👍👍

Okay. Thanks for the info.

@opcode I'm kind of confused with what's going on? Will the OMNI and Super game module 2 both play current opcode games and future OMNI games? I don't have a Colecovision nor do I plan on getting one but I do want to get the OMNI so am I missing out on anything if I don't get the SGM 2? Best of luck! 👍

Comparing the NES and 7800 on a technical level
VintageGamer74 replied to DracIsBack's topic in Atari 7800
@gorfcadet I couldn't agree more. I guess my point was is that I had so many systems after I got a job that I just didn't care what the specs were anymore. I remember enjoying the Dreamcast WAY MORE than the PS2, Xbox and GameCube because of the games that were released. Does that mean I didn't enjoy those other systems? Not at all. I just enjoyed the Dreamcast more. All I know is that I have a load of systems and there are a ton games on each of them that entertain me. Cool that your kids are enjoying some old-school gaming goodness!!! Nice to see that sprites and 2-D gaming are still being appreciated by a new generation! -
Comparing the NES and 7800 on a technical level
VintageGamer74 replied to DracIsBack's topic in Atari 7800
Doesn't matter which one was technically superior. It's about the games. Every system has great games. NES just happened to have a more robust library. My buddy had 7800 and I had a NES and we always enjoyed and had fun playing the others system and that's all that mattered. My two cents. ✌️ -
Awesome looking game! I'll have to get this for Windows since I don't have a 7800. Great review 👍!!!

Brand New Atari Jaguar Pro Controllers- For Sale!
VintageGamer74 replied to Starwander's topic in Atari Jaguar
If it we're fiscally possible? I'd like to see different color combos as well... Not to collect but to use!!!! -
At this point, if this really launches? Will it even sell beyond the number of backers who have already put their money down? I really don't see it selling beyond those numbers. I'm not trying to slag them but I lost interest in it when they made it an emulation box. Plus, can they sell enough units and keep the money coming in to manufacture other modules?

Anybody ever order from Best Electronics?
VintageGamer74 replied to bigfriendly's topic in Atari 2600
I've only made one purchase from Best but everything was packaged well and arrived in excellent condition. I emailed him ahead of time with my items. He emailed me. Then, I called him and ordered at least 10 items. No issues at all. Very good experience for me. He was direct with me but I just took that as him being busy. -
Great game! My brother and I were all over this game back in the day. So many fond memories of this game. Had the New version but tis looks serviceable. Great review! 👍

I'm not familiar with crowdfunding or Kickstarter types but if they don't deliver? Are Polymega backers out of luck? Again. Excuse my ignorance.

Wow!!! Really cool! 👍

Great video! Always interesting to learn about the Jaguar. Even if it's a bit depressing.
