I ordered my copy of Mappy. I am super excited to get that. When I bought my Famicom a couple of years ago, I spent more time playing that than any of the other Japan exclusives that I bought for the system.

Well if that is how the developer is that does fit pretty well with Blizzard. Look no further than World of Warcraft. They not only charge for each additional package that releases, but then you have to pay every month to keep your character alive and not erased, so it's like committed blackmail. Maybe they're going to take that direction with Diablo on mobile then, lots of fees or lose out.
I've gone 4 or 5 years inactive and they never delete characters. I still have my original from back when the game first came out and I probably have a total of 8 years of not playing.

I'm excitedly waiting for Mappy to hit in November.

There's nothing super special here but there are 3-4 shops I frequent and they all have Atari stuff. Not a lot or anything rare but they do have stuff. I also have seen some uncommon games pop up at local Half Price Books. Other than Half Price, most of those shops sell the games for $2-$3 unless it's something a little more rare. One of the stores probably has a stack of 20 copies of Combat.

Food Fight is pretty easy to find where I live. Most of the retro shops have it for $2-$3.

I wouldnt bother with LED mods, its a waste of time, makes hardly any difference to the image. The McWill screen is night and day better and improves battery life just as well.
Oh yeah definitely a McWill if you have the money. It looks absolutely amazing with a McWill mod.

I would recommend getting an LED mod for the Game Gear. It helps the battery life a lot.
As far as games. The Shining Force game is pretty good. I'm also partial to Crystal Warriors.

Golden Ax Warrior for Master System cost me $110.
If you want to count expansions and just total money spent, WoW has probably sucked close to $1000 out of me over the years it's been out with monthly fees, expansions and the odd pet or mount purchase.

Food Fight and Midnight Mutants are the first games that come to mind for me. I would say Food Fight is the standard bearer must own game on the system and it really didn't get any releases on other consoles.

144 2600 games plus 2 homebrews. 48 Atari 7800 games plus 1 homebrew. I also have the Starpath Supercharger and 2 games.

I'm just getting started with homebrews. So far I have Beef Drop for the 7800 and Ladybug and Dungeon for the 2600.
