      Just so you're aware I'm getting tested tomorrow, Shawn. I say might, since I am showing nearly all of the symptoms of COVID, and have never been sick like this before, especially not for this length of time. If you want people to shut themselves in and never talk about their problems, then best place yourself somewhere other than a forums site. Oh, and feel free to report me, whatever fills the black hole in your heart, you jerk.

      Oh, I should've clarified lol. I didn't get a European control pad, it's actually a new custom controller, basically the same shape and style as an NES controller.

    I'm only now realizing that I started the LadyLady 7800 demo over 2 years ago... doesn't feel like it's been that long at all. I hope that I can finish it this year then.

      At the moment, LadyLady would be too complex of a game to jump into making. So for now it'll just be a graphics showcase, and maybe audio. I do plan, however, on making a game after this demo is finished, but the two projects wont be related.

    Pacmanplus has saved the image of Florida for me.  Now, when I see a "Florida man" meme, my mind automatically says "Florida man creates incredible Retro Games."  And while I still laugh at whatever meme, I then think of Bob, and Florida sounds alright again. ;-)

    Just got an Odyssey 2 controller to try with my 2600, been trying to find a good joystick-style controller because I hate using the pro-line joysticks. Hope this one is good!

      @GoldLeader Funny you mention Genesis pads, as that's what I have been using primarily to play 2600 games, since I got my 7800 a few years ago and it's great as a replacement, if one wants to use a D-Pad. However, I've been dying to feel the nostalgia associated with using a good joystick, as many on here and other pages have vouched for it.

      @pjedavison This controller is actually a Coleco brand controller, but it's essentially a carbon-copy Odyssey 2 controller. So the actual controllers may have a different connector as you suggested.

    I'm starting to think Crystal Castles on the 2600 is my favorite 2600 game. Either that or Enduro.

      @AAA177 I really enjoyed the arcade original, and this one captures the spirit extremely well for a 2600 port, it also has excellent sound design carried over from the arcade, and it helps in making it so addicting. Also it's just nice to have a 2600 game with more than a few screens lol.

      Roku currently has license on it for their streaming service, so if you have that you're in luck. If you want it on hulu you'll have to wait for that deal to expire.

    Just got a copy of Karateka on the 7800 today, and I have absolutely no idea how to play it lol. Does anyone know where I can find the manual for this one?

    I found something very interesting. A 38 in 1 game cartridge for the GBA, but 37 of them are NES games! Wonder how they got them to run on a GBA.

      They more than likely used an emulator that was made to run on GBA.

    I'm split on the new BattleToads. On one hand, it kept the varied gameplay of the hard-as-shit original. On the other, The Dark Queen's new design is awful, the cutscenes look rather cheap when compared to the in-game animation, and the colors chosen come off as gaudy.Battletoads--Dark-Queen-Battletoads-2019

    Anyone got any recommendations for good shows on Netflix ?

    I don't mind if they are not on UK Netflix yet, I'll make a note to look out for them.

     

    I was on Netflix a lot when The Good Place was going, and I found a whole bunch of things to watch, but now, aside from a few documentaries and some stand up specials I am struggling to find things to watch.

    I could do with a day of just sitting about watching something either classy or funny or both.
