OK, Last update for now. The Sync issue goes away if I use a 1.5A supply. I inherited this 130 with no history. It has a socketed CPU an it's flakey. When I plug in a catragies some work some got to built in test. I'm going to pick up a new CPU and give it a try. I'm not convinced the one in it is good. If the "new CPU" has issues I'll replace the socket. Thank you for all the input.

OK the question is are we learning something or am I learning something? I have found really interesting results. USB cable on a 1A power charger = SIO 4.653V pail green background jail bars Atari Brick 1A power supply = SIO 4.757V much more blue with jail bars Atari Brick 1.5A power supply = SIO 4.757V Blue Blue no jail bars ( 2nd one still has them but can't see them unless I'm right on top of it so Improved greatly, 3rd one is somewhere between 1 & 2) So it's not just the voltage alone. I want to thank you all for your input. I wouldn't have gotten here without it. Thank you

What flavor are you running on? Did you possibly record a shell script of your build? Thank you
-
I still have to pop the hood and check the pot but SIO shows 4.653V from FujiNet. Same as my XEGS. I will find an original power bick and try it as well. Thank you
-
Can the CPM be connected to from a remote terminal over WiFi? This would be my best use case to get an old VT-100 and bridge it. Thank you
-
I have not looked at the color pots, to be honest I didn't know they were there. I will now. Thank you

@gilsaluki I made this up To be honest I watched countless videos and just didn't get it until I used it. Now I'm working my way through getting it working with the Side3. It has some learning curves but is a nice swiss army knife if you have multiple A8's and need/want to move stuff between them. Thank you

In another thread I said we should have a FujiNet Hello Word walkthrough - So I made one. https://www.evernote.com/shard/s581/sh/7d8ce83b-14ce-8f7b-428f-aae03ed88387/bede7fe9a31028c79abcc723662fadce If the gods of FujiNet don't think it's a good idea PM me and I'll pull it. Thank you

I'm using a Brewing Academy USB power cable on a 1A usb powers supply. I will take a look at 5v on the ISO. I should mention the same composite cable on a XL with the same power source is Blue background not Green. Thank you

So to catch up on this thread. I got a new mylar in and found if I switch to it I can use the start key and the Memory test passes. I'm wondering if I should retouch the solder joints on Gita to see if the video syncs up? Thank you

I have a new Sony 55 inch flat screen TV using Composite Video in. When it came in December 2020 my 130EX on a Lotherk composite cable was Blue. When I booted it the other day I noticed the Blue is decidedly Pail Green now. I'm seeing the same thing on 2 other 130XEs. 2 out of the 3 are having issues with the option key. One of these is about 16 months out of Best NOS Mianboard. I have a possible keyboard fix from another thread, this is mainly regarding the shift in video. On my XEGS, same screen, on a double shielded composite cable it's blue as can be like a new unit out of the box back in the day. Any ideas? Would A UAV fix it this or is it a sign these are going south? Thank you

FWW - I strongly suggest a PI Zero W setup with this: https://atari8bit.net/projects/software/fujinet-tnfs-server-image/ It just works. Be aware, you should,as that page states lock this down. But to get running it's a good way to get up to speed and test locally with no hassle. Thank you

Mine arrived about 20 min later. Windows 10 refuses to autorun my TNFS server. Running from a command line is a win. Good thing it's only for testing and I'm moving to a Pi for that. After going through it I think the Weather app at nufjinet.pl -> network should become the "Hello World" of fujinet setup. I need to setup MR.Robots Pi image on a Pi Zero W and go from there. Cheers!

I have Lothaerks SIO2PC and It works very well for me. I chose it for it's compact size. I also keep one of these in my Kit at all times- https://lotharek.pl/productdetail.php?id=156 you can also get a half cable from The Brewing Academy - This https://thebrewingacademy.com/collections/atari-800-xl-xe-xel-xld/products/half-sio-cable-for-s-drive and this https://thebrewingacademy.com/collections/atari-800-xl-xe-xel-xld/products/sio-ports-for-400-800-xl-xe-new-manufacture Thank you

FWW - My understanding is 1.3 with the Update fix is equivalent to 1.4. I ordered a Fujinet with the fix from The Brewing Academy with an XL case Monday. It's out for delivery today from UPS today. I saw a post, someone picked up on from the fujinetonline store late last month so I think they ran out recently. If you are getting PCBs from overseas at a good price it takes a while for them to come in. I decided to dive in. May the Force be with you! Thank you

In theory there are 2 solutions A) Spec an existing Belt, B) 3D print a belt. I'd go for B. The Material is called Ninjaflex https://ninjatek.com/ just need someone to design it. Look in to Gates Belts if you want to understand Belts with Teeth. Thank you

I found a 820 in my Father's stuff. We did computers together when I was a teen. I'm struggling with if I should refurbish it and sell it or sell it as is. I just got 4 New Ribbons for it. If you still need help let me know. Thank you

So I was in my latter teens and drinking beer when I was introduced to Star Raiders while the Original TRON was playing on BetaMax at a SiFi Convention. I was just starting out in computers, and if you really follow Tron. They are describing data passing through a bus. I learned a lot in a 4-5 hour period. The 3D star field in Star Raiders still blows me away.
