Update. I tried linking up with my 360...works fine so I switched out xboxes and the other works fine as well. So each xbox will system link with a 360, but not with each other. Wierd!!! I have upgraded my router's firmware (linksys) no help. 1800 xbox had no answer as well. Maybe as starscream has said it will work itself out tomorrow.

I have bought a second xbox, and want to play some games via system link. I have them hooked up via a linksys router. Both will connect to xbox live with no problems. When I try a network game (I tried 2 of them Halo and Farcry) I create the game on one and try to join on the other. I can see the game available, but when I connect it says "game not available" or "Cannot join game". I have tried hosting them from each box...same result. The joinable game even has a green dot next to it indicating a good connection. I have also made sure each system has been updated. Do I need different cables?? If so why when live works fine?? Anyone had this problem?? The forums at xbox.com do not mention this problem anywhere, and neither does their knowledge base. Thanks, Steve

Collector's edition IS. The original 2 dooms play fine on it.

Maybe someone should make it for the Dreamcast...it could work with the VMU's in the controller. I think the possibilities for it were WAY under-utilized.

Also, just to clarify, the silver account allows you to download demos, and arcade games.

You can hook-up an external HDD, but only to store music, movies etc from a pc. You can't store games, demos, anything from XBL as far as I know.

I haven't run out yet (I have 8 arcade games, and 7 demos) but with 7 gigs left and the demos being 600mb up to 1.25 gig each it won't take long. What demo is 1.25GB? Most demos are around 600MB. My largest and smallest demos are my most recently downloaded ones. MotoGP is 882MB and Lost Planet is on 305MB. I wouldn't get worried until I dropped below the 2GB free mark. Project gotham 3.

Well, normally I would'nt care that much, but since you CAN play xbox games on a LAN connection between an xbox and a 360 it helps when you have 1 of each.

Any mention backward compat? Are they going to add more xbox games to the list as originally promised? They have only added 3 games to the list in 5 months.

Has anything been said about the cost to produce the ps3? How much $$ are they gonna lose at the $600 price point? I think it's just too soon to try to make Blu-Ray mainstream.

I'm sure I saw a Blu-Ray for $900 announced on Google a couple of weeks back. Thought it was by Pioneer?? Edit: Couldn't find anything on a google search..guess not!

If M$ wants to increase it's market share, a price drop in November would be an excellent opportunity. Has the new processor design in the 360 lowered the cost enough to make that a possibility?
