Yeah, PS2 has always been supported well. Why did MS give up on the xbox so quickly. Third party support is better now than ever, and MS stops 1st party support I love the GC but the support there has been dismal. GBA hasn't done too bad...with as many systems sold, and the recent release of the micro, you would think there would be more game releases.

if you take good care of your games, you shouldnt have any problems, the problems really arise in finding games that are in good condition to begin with. but i have problems with pretty much every optical media system, except for the gamecube 1012321[/snapback] I agree. DC discs are VERY tempermental. I have a couple that will only play after booting them several times. The discs look great..can't see any scratches on them. I thought it was my laser, but same thing in my friends DC. I also have a copy of Soul Calibur that will only load about half of the arenas.

Actually what you do DOES reflect your character. Actually anything anyone does reflects their character. Just some people have different opinions on what kind of character. Yes... I agree. You can make lists like this forever, and they won't mean shit to most of us. The games on this list are all solid titles, but all gamers have different tastes and favorites. The top 5 games alone could be argued about forever.

His TV only needs to have component input. 480p (progressive scan) support is not necessary to view just regular component video. 994601[/snapback] Your probably right, I'm certainly no expert on the subject, But it seems like a big waste of money on cables etc. to not have progressive scan. I'm surprised there are TV's made like that. I find my picture sharper with s-video on my big screen if I'm not watching a HD broadcast, than using the component video cables. Steve

Keep in mind that you must go into the xbox's video menu and turn on the progressive modes. There are 3 of them... 480p, 720p, and 1080i. These will only be available in the menu if you have component cables (such as the hdtv pack) plugged into the xbox. Tempest, your using component, not composite correct? If so, your TV must at least support 480p. Composite, and svideo will give 480i. Steve

I must need a new DC. My Soul Calibur game will not load certain arenas..it just freezes. And like I had mentioned, a couple of discs will either not load, or will do so only after 4-5 tries. Jet grind radio is one of my new discs that started, but froze up. Is there a 2 player split screen option on it? Steve PS. Joey, from reading your other posts, you are right about all the great games for DC. It has a fantastic library. PPS Can you adjust the laser, or just replace?

Is the DC extremely sensitive to scratched discs? I've bought a couple of them now that won't load. The discs look pretty good--very minor looking marks. I've not had problems with any other disc reading device unless they are REALLY bad. Steve

My local EB is clearing out DC games because of the Gamespot takeover. Here's some of the games I found/bought. They still have about 60-75 more left...lots of sports titles though.
