  1. I'd like to see a solid 2600 version of Food Fight or an improved 2600 Desert Falcon.
  2. Do the coleco carts us different bank switching then the red label versions of the same game?
  3. I don't have 2600+ but on my Retron 77 the coleco DK jr doesn't work but the red label does. Perhaps there is a similar problem with the 2600+?
  4. At least with the Retron 77, I found the cart dumper could be very finicky. Sometimes it could take many, many times to get the dump to work even when it was a clean cartridge. Or if the cart was even the slightest bit dirty it couldn't read it.
  5. I know Rampage didn't work from the cart but does it work from the Dragonfly? Rampage works with the pro system emulator in RetroArch and I am wondering if it was something with the cart itself?
  6. Ultimately your best bet for that is a scaler like the RetroTink 2x or 5x and a console modification. Crossbow here on the forums modded mine. He did awesome work. I started by getting the scaler. I hooked my 7800 up through the antenna of an old vcr and used the av out to the RetroTink 2x. Then a little bit later I had my console modded.
  7. Yes! We should call it Demon Attack! Thanks for the kind words! We are working on a follow-up to Lashing The Feral Swine. We have about 9 songs in various states of completion. Mike is great dude! Easy to work with.
  8. Ha I love it underground metal heads who love Atari. I play in a band called Imperial Savagery our last album was on HPGD.
  9. I have been in a joystick mood lately so I have been using the hyperkin trooper. I really like that joy stick. Normally I just use a genesis pad.
  10. Yep. I have raspberry pi running lakka with Stella 6.0 no issues on that TV. As well as consoles hooked up to a RetroTink 2x without issue. I also tried the hyperkin megaretron hd without issue. That being said the TV is old (2011 I think). It might be on its way out. I have been using the retron 77 on that TV for 5 years now so it's definitely weird.
  11. So it is apparently the TV itself that didn't like the community build. I tested on another TV and it appears to be fine.
  12. Switching cables didn't do the trick. I will probably see if this thing can still handle 3.9.3 and park it there for now. Thanks for your help!
  13. Does anyone ever have issues with your retron 77 sporadically losing the video signal on 6.5.3 or 6.6. I have an older Retron 77 so it shouldn't have the faulty ram issue. When I switch back to the original firmware, it is fine. It didn't used to have issues.
  14. Does Galagon not work in retroarch on Android(Stella 6.6)? I downloaded the demo and although the game starts up ok, the controls don't work. I can't move or shoot. This is with both the touch controls and a Bluetooth 8bitdo M30 controller. The same rom works fine on my retron 77 (6.5.3)
  15. I got Draconian, Galagon, Mappy and Popeye.
  16. Take that back about the game genie. Forgot about master codes. Works great!
  17. It took me forever to get around trying neto boot loader. Kicking myself for not doing it sooner. I did notice a few issues. The biggest one is that the game genie codes do not seem to work. I just get a black or red screen when I ever I try to use it. I also notice in the change log, it says Rambo 3 is working. After trying many versions of the rom, I was unable to get past the intro without it locking up. I am using the latest version which I believe is 1.46a. Are these features just not available on the portable or does an older version work better?
  18. I had a SMS and 7800. I got my 7800 in 87. I didn't have a ton of games back then. There were so few games coming out for the 7800 that I upgraded to the SMS and never really touched my 7800 much until 2005 when I started collecting games for it again. I do remember that right after I got my Master System, games started coming out for the 7800 like Rampage (which I did get when it came out), Double Dragon, Commando, etc. I also remember thinking maybe I should have just stuck with the 7800 but that didn't go beyond me buying Rampage. Ironically the 7800 is now my favorite system and I am glad I never sold it.
  19. I finally tried this out with my Dragonfly, it will be hard to back to the 2600 version now! Great work.
  20. So it is just a compatibility issue with Rangers and 7800s. I have seagull 78 adapter so I will just stick with that and original paddles for the 7800.
  21. I have a ranger that works flawlessly on both my Retron 77 and Flashback 2 but is very squirrelly on both of my 7800s. Sometimes it works fine and other times it's all screwed up. This usually happens after you change modes (turning the system off, unplugging the controller, switching mode and then turning everything on does not help. ) It doesn't get back to a working state until I play it for a bit on one of the systems where it consistently works. Knowing Hyperkin, I wouldn't be surprised if there was sloppy wiring involved. Just curious if anyone else here uses one and it works as intended and I got a bad unit or they just don't like 7800's.
  22. I really wish they had done something for the Master System/ Game Gear instead.
