  1. All of the people I talked to about Amico are at least interested and some are downright chomping at the bit to get one. Quick story here: A girl I work with grew up playing Moon Patrol in the arcades. Sometimes with her father. I got a hold of a MAME emulator and set it up on her computer and USB stick and she plays with them fairly regularly. Guess what happened when I showed her the new demo on her phone. Yep, I answered the phones for the rest of the day. For an hour or so all I would hear was, 'Could you get that, I can't get past this checkpoint.' Thanks Tommy. Oh and she's the one who brings in her cornhole boards for casual Fridays. Yep. She wants Amico. Looked at me kinda stupid-like when I said that she'll probably be able to get one from Bed, Bath, and Beyond in April. Tommy, you and your team are busting up the old way of doing things. There has not been a single negative bit coming from my little tiny focus group. Except for the Mr. Negative Nancy in our group, he says they should sell Amico for $300 and give four controllers. I told him about the two controllers and recharging stand that should be released at the same time, but I couldn't remember how much it was. I thought it was between $50 and $100. Even if he is a dick about it, his wife might get one for their 6-year-old daughter.
  2. We'll I've just discovered that the Atari original carts are not symmetrical. My tower keeps leaning away from the labels. Poo.
  3. Everyone had wood paneling back in the day. I'd take a picture of my gaming room now but I think I'd need CurlyQ to help.
  4. It took awhile but here's my screenshot with my dog. I made sure my dog was in it so you know the screenie is legit.
  5. I played this one on my Harmony cart and love it. I'd like to add a cart of this to my Galagon and Wizard of Wor Arcade carts that should be on the way soon.
  6. Much better response than I was planning. I look at the new Moon Patrol and wonder what COULD be done differently. Not much. I haven't played the updated level yet but from the video it looks like it becomes a frenetic challenge. Looks to be accomplishing it's mission to me. But maybe it is missing something. Maybe it needs to be in an 3D open world where you have to go from site to site to talk to NPCs to get your missions to shoot the aliens (and as we play through the storyline we later find that the aliens are misunderstood, and it is actually the humans who are evil). Your friends can be those NPCs and decide how many aliens you have to kill to move on to the next mission. After a few missions, one on the NPCs can unlock the 'fill in the crater missions'. And don't forget the whole reason for driving on all of these moons and shit; you've got to deliver a letter from one NPC to another to unlock a new dialogue tree for new missions and continue the storyline. And speaking of trees, don't forget the tech tree to upgrade your buggy. Because we all know that games can't keep kid's attention spans unless they are constantly rewarded with permanent powerups--no, those temporary powerups won't do at all. And wouldn't it be cool if you play through the Alphabet checkpoints to get to the end, and then jump in a turret to blast a whole mess of asteroids shooting at you for five minutes like in Dead Space. Then you can run around inside the base and rescue the people from the aliens like Doom or Quake. Wouldn't that make this game awesome? I bet we can think of a whole mess of things that Moon Patrol is missing, things that would make it you know, not boring.
  7. I so want the "You Suck" patch and letter sent to a guy I work with. How do I make this possible? 🙂 He's in his early 20's and has a jean jacket with gamer patches on it. I think he'd love to put it on. Right next to the Spider Fighters that he didn't earn. Bitch had a score of like 39,000. (I earned my patch with about 42,000) BTW, where can I actually buy the rest of the patches that are offered?
  8. Sure, come to our Atari themed hotels when its raining so you can play Starcraft or Unreal Tournament 2004 in a LAN party on our new VCSs. You can max out the graphics. Purchase your Atari coins at the counter.
  9. I'm not choosing between Night Stalker and Cloudy Mountain. 😠 Period. Biplanes Baseball Bowling (I play cornhole at work on casual Fridays, but the game looks good) Safe Cracker Auto Racing Missile Command
  10. Awesome. I'm a little jealous. 🙂
  11. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Atari-2600-Game-Star-Wars-The-Arcade-Game/184335609464?hash=item2aeb422e78:g:ENIAAOSwnEde7pzC EDIT: Price Charting has it today at $27.49
  12. I don't use price charting exclusively, but it does seem to show trends and approximate value. If I just had to have a CIB, I wouldn't pay more than $90 or so for it. When I was looking to rebuild my 2600 collection, I had a spread sheet that I kept updated with current prices and would troll ebay and the like about once a week looking for deals. Because of my patience I can say I only paid over the Price Charting price for three games or so. Actually for S&G, I looked back at that spreadsheet and could only find SW:TESB and a set of Driving Controllers that I paid over the Price Charting price for. Empire was the first game I bought when I restarted my collection and paid about a buck over, and the Driving controllers I had to rush get so my daughter and I could play Indy 500 and I didn't want to wait. I got Beamrider--a rarity 5 game--for $5 less than Price Charting, and H.E.R.O.--also a 5--for $1 less. I started the collection about a year and a half ago and up to the last purchase, with a Price Charting value (at the time of each purchase) of $730, I paid $385. So even though it's rare, I wouldn't pay over 50% its current Price Charting value. If I were a collector, not just looking for the games to play but the boxes et all, I might go a little higher, but $450? Screw that guy. Don't be a chump.
  13. To be fair, it looks really rare. I think price charting showed about five a year.

  15. Pricecharting has Star Wars The Arcade game CIB at about $60. You can also do search on ebay for the game and on the lower left click the Sold and Completed boxes to see what the latest have gone for. UPDATE: Ebay shows a CIB sold on 4. June 2020 for $32.95 and $3.99 Shipping.

Hey AD, you are awesome. Thank you for your time on this project.
  17. Screw you dude, I just shit myself before I realized it was you. 🤣 You really have to give a warning or something before you post this kind of stuff.
  18. You know Tommy, all my friends and I knew a girl like you back in school. Sometimes at the same time. 🤣
