  2. I own an atari 2600 with all caps replaced also with a composite mod, but it works fine in just 1 of my tvs, with all others I tried it looks like yours or totally black (no image), is the composite mod getting 5v?
  3. did you replaced the c241 and c242 for a new ones or used ones?
  4. Those are C241 and C242, use this page as reference: https://console5.com/store/atari-2600-junior-refresh-cap-kit-new-capacitors-and-more.html
  5. Problem solved guts, thank you so much to everyone, it come I forgot to replace the C241 capacitor, not it works perfect!
  6. Be sure that you replaced the ".22uF, 100V Metallized Polyester Film Capacitor", there are two in the 2600 4 switch. those capacitors are related to snowy screen.
  7. By board uses not the 4050 buffer chip, I attach some pics, the issue appeared before all the changes I did (capacitors, regulator, bla bla bla), after the changes the problem remains. thank you for your help.
  8. If I try RF or Composite mod, it gets same result, i tried old CRT and led screen, both same results.

  11. Hello all, I own an Atari 2600 4 switch which has video distortion. When I turn on the console and after 3-4 minutes, the video will be distorted, look the video I made of it, If I power cycle the Atari, it looks fine again and it will begin to distort again in a while. I have replaced so far: Capacitors, voltage regulator, RF module, power supply, video cable, crystal, 3 main chips (TIA, 6507 and 6532), but the problem remains. Any suggestion? Thank you in advance.
  12. Hello CrossBow problem found and solved, it turns out that I connected the RGB wire "V" to "V" (composite on the board), instead of "V" to "CS#" on the board, that was causing the issue, now picture quality is perfect, thank you for everything!!
  13. Hello, thank you for replying, I will try the 4:3 fit, the RF shield is on, I replaced the DC-DC converter because it came with the RGB kit, I am worried if I install the RGB board without that DC-DC included converter I may blow something, also I can try to route the wires away from the power section, I will post soon.
  14. Hello, I just installed the Atari 2600 RGB from Tim Worthington on my 4 button system, I did the installation as the manual (also the SCART cable from Tim Shop), but I am getting vertical jail bars as the attached pictures, As far now I replaced: TIA / RIOT / CPU and capacitors, also the crystal has no extension wire, it is directly connected to the board and still get those lines. I am using Atari 2600 RGB + Tim SCART cable ----> OSSC Any suggestion how to avoid those vertical lines? thank you in advance.
