Did anybody else get their first Atari experience in the form of a Coleco Gemini. I did, one christmas from my uncle, and I loved that thing. I used to think it was a cooler setup then the 4-switch Atari of the time, although in hindsight I can't remember if the graphics were any better or worse than the atari made models. I know alot of folks on the forum have both, was there a difference in picture quality between the two? Thanks

Has anybody? I am working through the game, and it is HUGE. I can't believe this game was realeased over 10 years ago. Also, where are the flamethrower and the smart gun?

Build an XE1541. It is very simple and requires no soldering if you use crimp connectors.

Transferring C64 images to a 5 1/4" disk, cheaply

I built the XE1541 cable and used it on a 1571 disk drive with star commander. It works really well and is actually really simple to build. If you use crimp pins on the 25 pin connector, you do not need to solder it. -
I was wondering if anybody else here has built a masterplay interface. I took about two days to build one, and what a difference it makes in pacman, etc. I attempted the composite mod, but the board degenerated after a week. I tried to fit everything in the case, I think next time I will put a 25 pin plug in and solder the whole thing in an exterior case so It is easier to build. Has anybody else tried this approach?

I organize them in Plastic sliding drawer untis to keep the dust off them as my game collection is in my shop, in my basement. Then they go by system and company (Atari, Activision, Imagic, etc.) It works pretty good.

An old Modem. Back when they were audible. You took the telephone reciver and placed it in the cradle. It all worked off sound. What, You never seen Wargames?

Congrats on the weight loss. I know how hard it can be, as I dropped 50 lbs 2 years ago. It's a pain in the ass to be hungry all the time, but once you get used to eating less, it makes it easier to keep the weight off. Just make sure you eat enough to keep your strength up and stay healthy, you don't want to get sick from lack of energy. Anyway congrats on that.

"Living... After Midnight...." Damn good tune. And lets not forget The Police, or The Talking Heads. "King of Pain" and "Burning down the house" go great with Atari.

How long has your Jaguar passion run? How far has it to go?
VTAtari replied to justclaws's topic in Atari Jaguar
I got my Jag off ebay in 2000. I wanted one ever sense my fiend brought one over he picked up during the Kay-Bee Toys clearence in 97, and I saw Tempest 2000. I bought one just to play T2K and AvP, which I had seen in stores back in the day. I still play both games from time to time, and actually just dragged my Jag out of my office and hooked it up in the living room to play a bit more. I don't see much jag stuff in the wild here in Vermont unfortunetly, but I have nine carts so that keeps me pretty happy. Still want to score a jag CD though. -
Yep, its a broken wire. I try to store the cables loose to avoid that. There is no easy way to find the break point. And if you have ever opened up a 5200 cable, it would be a pain to fix.

Keep in mind, if you can solder, you can build your own. I built one in two nights, it would have been one if the had not gotten PNP and NPN transistors mixed together. I built it for cheap to. Finally let me play a full game of Star Raiders, as I have a trackball to serve as the keypad. Well worth it.

Anybody else remember tearing into the Sears Christmas catalouge and looking at the Atari screen shots in that. I remember wanting Dark Chambers from those screenshots. And when I got it, I played it to death.
