  1. This problem had disappeared, so I was being patient, but I recently tried to play Crush, Crumble and Chomp. I can't use SIDELoader for this, as it requires OSB, so I set up my SIO to PC and loaded it this way. The "keystroke" beep and intermittent input started again (although no lock-up). I think this problem only creeps up when I try to use SpartaDosX or SIO2PC, not when I only use the Loader.
  2. Of course, no I can't replicate the issue. Has anyone encountered this before? I'm loathe to open it all up again to take pictures if the problem doesn't continue.
  3. I just installed an Incognito and SCCC card. It seemed like everything was rosy--I had finally figured out how to mount APT drives, when I started having a persistent problem. I'll hear a beep, as if a key had been pressed, then the machine will lock up. This mostly happens when I boot through to SpartaDOS, but it has happened on the BIOS and Loader screens as well. I will get some garbage on the screen as well. I've flashed the newest firmware, so I'm guessing this is a hardware/installation problem. Any thoughts? What more information would be helpful?
  4. Thanks, Stephen! I was so surprised that everything was working on first boot, that I was really looking hard for something I might have done wrong!
  5. Hello, folks! I just installed an Incognito and a Super Color CPU into my new (to me) 800. Despite my age, I'm a relative neophyte to all this, particularly modding, so I was apprehensive about doing this with my baby soldering skills, but when I made my first power-on test before I put the cage back on, I was delighted when it seemed to boot right up. I took a picture to celebrate the event, then disassembled to begin the process of putting the whole machine back together. When I looked back at the picture I took, though, I saw something that gave me pause--While it booted up into Sparta DOS and Ultimate clock, I saw a message that I had not seen in any of the Incognito videos I've seen "Colleen not present." This sounds relatively ominous to me, but I wasn't sure if this was abnormal or because I hadn't configured things yet. I don't want to reassemble until I know if I need to check some of my solder points or do other trouble shooting. Is this normal for a first boot?
