  1. You could fit all the atari 2600 roms available on a 2GB sd and still have tons of room. Value for above carts? Individual or all together? I think a few bucks a piece if sold individually not sure about all, maybe 20-25? I have carts but my Harmony cart gets all the action.
  2. It's a 6 Switch light for more clarification, I was too vague before. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  3. I have a Telegames 2600 that when I got it would play all the games that came with it but Jungle Hunt. Screen would come on, music would play and once I would swing to first vine the screen goes black but music still plays. I thought this was a bad cart but after getting a Harmony the same game in rom format doesn't work either. Only other game I have an issue with is Panky Panda and maybe one other. I had an older version of Amoeba Jump on Harmony and it played fine, I updated to the latest version and it does the same thing as Jungle Hunt, starts and goes black except for sound. I then played a couple other roms afterwards like Draconian and Pitfall and they worked fine. Is this a symptom of my system going, what would be the cause and what can I do to fix it? 4. Could we add tapatalk support back into the forums? I went to using the mobile version of the site but with the new layout I would love to try tapatalk again
  5. I don't usually do the high score challenge but I may try my hand at Tutankham today.

  6. I knew what it was just by reading the title. Love the original on psx and enjoyed soul reaver as well. Excellent games for sure.
  7. Background noise, enemy movement and animation is fantastic. Much closer to the arcade version than the 7800 version. Definitely a technological marvel on the 2600.
  8. Can't wait to play it on my harmony, my phones emulator doesn't do it justice.
  9. I so cannot wait to play this on my harmony cart. Galaga is one of my favorite games and I ended up playing the arcade version today to hold me over. Champ games are amazing and I look forward to playing this as well as Zoo Keeper when it gets close to release.
  10. With the new board things are very nice, don't seem so mushy. Previous pcb was ok but after a closer look most domes don't click, about flat. My damaged parts I mentioned earlier are the metal tabs that slide on to the pcb. One broke upon removal from old board and second trying to have it grip the new one tight. Guess whatever they're made of doesn't stand up well after 40 years.
  11. Since some of my connections are broke should I replace the whole cable, see if they make replacement connectors and replace or I even considered a drop of solder to hold the broken one in place. Any thoughts? BTW the micro switch board is pretty cool, has less throw than my gold pcb board and is very responsive.
  12. Last two times gmail sent it to my spam folder and I missed out, I got in the habit of checking his site routinely and just got lucky.
  13. You got a stash and holding out on us? I've got it rigged right now with tape holding the contacts in but if I dont get a new cable or replace the crimps I may have to find somewhat to attach them more permanently. What I have played with the new board is pretty nice, very responsive.
  14. Never mind, figured it out after a lot of trial seems error. Unfortunately two of my metal tabs that hold the wire to the board have a broken side and I may have to find a way to fix it.
  15. Got my micro switch pcb we have here on AA and went to hook it up but the colors appear to be all wrong compared to the colors listed on the new pcb. Did Atari ever use different colors for wires than the standard that I find in photos online. I know I have to find which one is ground and go one by one and find which one is each direction. Didn't know if there was someone else who had colored coded wires on wrong terminals inside and what did you see.
  16. I've got a slew of packages coming in this week, anyone know what state these come from? Trying to match a tracking number to the product.
  17. Wow caught those just in time, finally snagged one. I got a gold board and new plastic handle for one of my controllers and this will go in my other one. Look forward to testing it out, thanks.
  18. The guy who works on the port also does a bunch of other emus...nes,tg16,neogeo, etc and he doesn't spend enough time keeping the 2600 one up to date. Least hes more current than the retroarch team, that's way out of date.
  19. Mappy runs on my android phone as well as draconian and wizard of wor arcade. 2600.emu for android runs off android 5.1.1 as where the stella plugin for Retroarch is a lower version like 3.1 or something. I play those games on my phone before I got a harmony cart. I had a s7 edge before and now on a Note 9 if that helps.
  20. Ok thanks for the input guys, maybe I'll have my 2600 nodded to give me better hookup down the road. Appreciate your input.
  21. My first console was the 2600 but growing up I did get to play with an original odyssey and intellivision. Later a NES and then a whole lot more up till around 2001. After that my gamer phase took a backseat because of family and kids.
  22. Its LCD, older flat TV that still has composite in. My OG Xbox looks good but the Atari just suffers in translation.
  23. I've got a Sears 2600 light 6 switch that has a composite mod on it. On a CRT it looks perfect, crisp etc, on my flat screen there's ghosting and bleeding a little of colors. If I wanted to improve the image would a composite to hdmi box filter or clean it up some? I've been playing with straight composite but just doesn't feel right. I could go with something like a retron77 but I like to use original hardware. What you guys think?
  24. I went with the regular harmony and not the encore, may regret that down the road when Champ Games starts making bigger roms. I got the SD style cart and have used both a regular SD as well as a micro with adapter and both work well. I have concerns too about constantly loading new homebrews and wearing the spring mechanism on the SD card reader but that will probably be years from now and I'll get an encore. I've been thoroughly pleased with my purchase and its amazing to have all my stuff in one cartridge.
