  1. Well we didn't pick 9-11 because of the events which happened in 2001 we did so because it was the only Saturday we could get. If the day bothers you so much that you would rather sulk in your room for the entire day every year it rolls around then we can respect that and hopefully next time around we will have a better date to set it on. Also this isn't really a convention. This is a private party and you have all been invited. Its not as big as any of the other shows and we never set out to put any of the major shows down. In my eyes ALL events are a good thing. The idea that if you are a fan of one of shows means you can't attend any other is just stupid. If you are a die hard fan of Philly Classic or CGE and that means you can't go to any other gathering because they just aren't Philly Classic or CGE well then I guess we won't see you there. If you are free that day and have the means to swing by then by all means join us. You won't meet the president of Nintendo or see 500 vendors but come with an open mind and just have some fun. In truth, you see I just promised so many people I've dealt with over the years that I'd buy them a beer that I've gotten way way backlogged. This is just my way of catching up, having a good time and not having discussions like this one we are having here. So if free food and drinks with a bit of gaming with your fellow collectors on the weekend doesn't do it for you then DON'T COME. If you don't come down with an open mind to have fun then I don't want you there anyway. You won't be doing us any favors. This isn't a for profit event and we aren't out to break any records we are throwing a party. I'd rather have a die hard group of 10 willing to just relax and have a good time than a room full of 1000 sulkers who are convinced the day will be miserable before they even get out of bed. Adam
  2. So whats the scoup? Did they close up shop already? I figured they would hold out a bit longer than this. That sucks.
  3. True or not this person has no right to be on ebay and should be banned by EBay ASAP. Adam
  4. That was actually one of the originals carts sent to promote the product in NY at Bloomingdales. I had a stretch of unemployment (back when I felt a job was the thing to have) and used the funds generated from this cart to get my first store going. After I got my feet on the ground I offered to buy the cart back for double what I sold it to Marco for. He turned me down. So I know "the value" of that one and well I know what he paid on a few others but I'd be curious to see a listing of what they were ALL worth.
  5. Tell me you didn't spend $20 just to have a neutral feedback removed?
  6. Ahh I got it all taken care of. Now where did I stash all those protos I been wanting to sell. Adam
  7. Argg I tried to sign up but AOL ate the email. So I tried to register again after I altered the aol settings and it said that my email and username were already taken. Now what do I do?
  8. They are still up there. Just have to try a different seach. http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?q...10&BasicSearch=
  9. Well its a step. The fact that it has been introduced leaves the door open for future features that you speak of.
  10. I think this thread might be better off in the Battlezone politics/religion forum. Does this have anything to do with ebay anymore?
  11. Yeap. I still have mine. Thats an Infograms deal.
  12. I haven't been following vboy in some time. Whats the cost to aquire this collection piece by piece vs all at once?
  13. I filed for that class action lawsuit some time back. Everyone who purchased a cd between Jan 1st 95 and Dec 22nd 2000 was allowed to file. We are supposed to get a check for $12 or something extremely small. I have yet to recieve mine. This may be why http://musiccdsettlement.com/english/default.htm
  14. What happened to John Earney ? Does he still collect or did it sell it all and go down in flames like many of the other early collectors? In fact most of the BIG GUYS back then are no where to been found these days. Well all except for you Marco
  15. We don't need no stinkin Quadruns.
  16. There are a couple wholesalers. Southwest (went under about a year ago) AEC Onestop (currently use) I think there is a Sony and and Columbia one as well. Yeah forget about making any money on these. I'll order a few of the hot titles just to keep the customers happy but thats about it. I complained to my wholesalers and they basiclly said "Yeah we know nothing we can do". Funny it was the same response I got from them when I told them the guy across the street was selling bootlegs cd yet to be released for $5.00. Adam
  17. I don't remember what he was selling the boxes for but I remember he offered me the instructions for 50 cents. I should have bought them all. Adam
  18. Are these really rare? Who is the guy who had a ton all these? John Earney? I dunno if he still has em but he had a ton back in the day. Adam
  19. There is no money in new games. Not unless you are one of the big guys and then only because you get the advertising kickbacks. Used games are almost all profit and thats where small stores make their money. Well this here is what put me for a loop. No way. Music Movies and Video Games are all set up different than all other goods. Music is no better. My cost on a new cd is often $13.53 PLUS SHIPPING and Best Buy will have them on sale for $9.99. Its totally wacked. They tell me I'm supposed to sell these for $18.99 !! Yeah right. I only WISH I could buy games or movies or cd at the prices you were hinting at. I could seriously retire at the end of the year. Adam
  20. How long ago was this? I think things have changed quite a bit. You tell me where I can get a PS2 unit for less than $5 or $10 under retail or Madden 2004 for less than $40 shipped? Closeouts maybee but not hot product or newer titles. I often find myself buying games at Best Buy when a sale is offered because its cheaper than paying the 42-43 bucks for a new title. Adam
  21. Yeah get that unemployment while you can. I rode the unemployement train for 6 months and used the cash to get my first store off the ground. I then lost everything and had to start all over but thats a different story. Unemployment is bad in my area. Many people are out of work right now and I've NEVER seen so many items of questionable orgin. So forgive me if I insulted you but I see this EVERY day and and its nothing new to me. Better to come out and say it so you can address it than pretend no one is thinking it in my book. Just how many stores are going out of business in your area? I would think a mom and pop store would be well aware of the ebay factor and would refuse to sell new games (which cost them $43.00 on avg) for $5-$10 and the only other larger store which I can think of recently would have been the varius Kmarts this summer? Curious as to where these are so we can all share in the wealth.
  22. I own a game/music store here in Cleveland believe me its not. You should see these peoples faces when I show them the AOL key scratch trick. Adam
  23. Thing is for the most part new games are a depreciating product. Not sure if I spelled that right. No one in their right mind (even if they have a job) stocks up on $30-$40-$50 PS2 Xbox and Game Cube games esp not in multiples. Nor do they buy them at the retail level in hopes of selling at a profit not unless there was some huge sale where they were bought up cheap and if they were then he would sell them ANYWAY job or not. He wouldn't have waited till he lost his job because as I said before these lose value over time quickly. SO I'm just going to come out and say what I think everyone is thinking. Were the games stolen in hopes of making some quick cash because of a lost job? If so many people here might be leary buying not only based on ethics but also on the thought that one who steals just might turn around and steal from them. Plus the name change Plus the feedback and well no one wants a bad ebay experience. There just isn't a single item you are selling that can't be bought elsewhere. I'm not here to tar and feather you (I don't even know you). I'm just trying to explain why people here might not bid on your auctions. Your first reaction might be to get angry and blast me for stating what I think everyone here is thinking in the first place BUT if you ignore that and plead your case then ya never know you might win them over. You posted here to increase your sales. So now is your chance. Tell us why we should buy from you over everyone else selling the same items. Adam
  24. I think what he was trying to say is.. where did an out of work person get so many sealed games? Good question as he even has multiples. Adam
