Someone was asking about old Atari buttons not that long ago. Seller might have others. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 280658714408
-
Cool. Are you planning on keeping it or would you consider selling or trading? I like things like this. If you have early gaming rare items, paperwork posters and promos I'd be up for a trade. I can always use new games at my game store and I'd also be open to cash offers.
-
Found this in a stack of old videogame paperwork. Looks like a rebate of some type Intellivsion sent out to buyers of a system to be used towards a new game.
-
He must be thinking Colecovision on the DK. Which does sell for over 100. The box is rare because the game was a pack in without the box. If the boxing is really Activison Boxing then that isn't a bad price.

FS: Nintendo Wii NOT FOR RESALE Demo Discs
Buyatari replied to kurtori's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Great stuff. You don't see these everyday. -
Sold and paid for. Shipping now. I hope it doesn't create a black hole on the way to its new owner but if it does you were all warned. LOCK ER UP !
-
On hold pending payment. I think it said Windows CE.
-
Nope there's no region coding, just a collector would rather get a complete set of a matching region rather than some with a different box style or art. Japanese games come in a completely different sized box too. In most cases that big large Nintendo seal on the front is the kiss of death to collectors. US printed boxes get a huge premium.
-
HELL YEAH! In atari it isn't as needed. There isn't a huge premium for sealed. In NES it might be needed as more and more sellers are selling fake seals. However to get back on track with the OP this is better example of a waste. I don't think I've ever seen a VGA score this low ! Yet it is still $100 for a common game you can buy new by the case. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 300450684017

Ok $45 get it outta here !
-
I'd welcome any offer of someone willing to pay me my cost on this item. They will have to consider all the overhead expenses. The storefront, employees, gas, electric and phone bills could all use some help !

Someone traded this unit in to the store. It looks like it was barely used but I gave the guy $10 because it feels like a piece of shit. He didn't argue with me so that tells you something right there. If you are looking for a cheap notebook here it is. This is a cheaply made in China 7" notebook. It does power on and does appears to work but is very cheaply made. I did not fully test it and I am selling this as is. Even if it works today you can just tell that perhaps in a week or perhaps even a day it may just self implode. To make it worse I know nothing about computers. I did not see any problems but it is very cheaply made. Good ol China ! It feels like it might shatter into a thousand pieces if you dropped it. I am selling this cheap because it is cheap. I did not build this so please don't hold it against me if you get exactly what I am telling you. If you search eBay you will see that this exact model does sell sometimes as much as $100 PLUS shipping when the seller dresses it up as a nice fancy computer but sometimes the buyers leave bad feedback because it is really a piece of junk. I'd rather sell it cheap on the forums and have the buyer know exactly what it is they are getting and not get a bad feedback for it. I didn't make this people but it is my job to get rid of it. This 7' notebook comes in the original box with power supply. It runs on an internal battery which seems to hold a charge. I did not take this unit online so internet ability is untested. None of the software on this unit is tested. What you see is what you get $45 shipped to the USA.

Eli's Ladder paperwork Waterwold complete + non Atari protos
Buyatari replied to Buyatari's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
I do recall you selling your copy and I know I bought my copy long before that. I might have been talking to you about your game perhaps trying to pair it up with this paperwork. Not sure who Jason bought his copy from. Anyway the ELI'S LADDER PAPERWORK IS NOW SOLD !! Thanks goes out to everyone who showed interest. -
Hey man you are preaching to the choir. I don't even own an emulator. If I want a game bad enough to play it then I buy it. If I can't play the original on the original hardware then I have no use for it.
-
I really hope it does get scanned one day because some day these might be lost forever. As you say these are incredibly rare, there are not many out there. Just like the games will bit rot with time so does paper rot. Not to mention natural disasters..... It is unlikely that every single one of them will be lost because they have a real value. I expect other will turn up over time. Still even if every one is gone you don't need a 100% scan a sloppy photo works just as well unless you are making copies.
-
I can see how that would be easy to fake but most game docs are much more difficult. No worries, someone else will scan them one day. Yes most paperwork is difficult to duplicate and not worth a whole lot of money. In most cases a scan while not a huge benefit won't hurt much. With Eli's the exact opposite is true. The play value is near zero. The paperwork in incrediblly rare and the chance someone will copy one or more of the sheets is the highest of any other game I can think of. Hopefully it won't happen because it would hurt the hobby but you can't control what people do with their possessions.
-
An instruction booklet would be hard to copy but anything printed in black and white on a single sheet would be easy to copy and hard for collectors to sort out if fakes were discovered. Big problem in the NES world where a collector did make copies of a Section Z map. The item was only available in certain boxes of the game and was in demand by most trying to complete the game. The value has fallen from the 100+ range to 30 or less and now collectors are not sure which ones are real and which ones are the copies. There are some dealers less than honest out there and as time goes on and prices increase this will increase as well. An easy flip would be to locate a loose authentic cart and include some or all of the paperwork that was not included before. If a buyer gets a cart and some of the original papers but perhaps the 2 overlays are copies would he know? I seriously doubt it. It is nice to know something exists and generally what it looks like but a poor quality image is good enough for just about anything. Personally I don't spend too much time starring at scans online. If I want to really enjoy something then I buy it. I don't see the benefits of making a scan available outweighing the risk of a fake on this one.

Eli's Ladder paperwork Waterwold complete + non Atari protos
Buyatari replied to Buyatari's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Nope I bought at the end of a Philly Classic show from a guy who had a table at the show (where it was on display the entire show) he was not on the internet at the time. It was near complete (all you see plus cart) and I later sold off the cartridge when I was buying some rental property. I figured it would be much easier to find a loose cart than a copy with paperwork so I kept the paperwork. Now I am looking to raise funds again for another venture and I seriously question if I will ever be in the market for a cart again. -
Ebay Auction: Out of Control with Manual and Box
Buyatari replied to AuburnFan's topic in Auction Central
That's pretty high, considering there are two pieces missing. Can you interchange inserts and cards from a more common 2600 AH game or are they dedicated to this title. If they are generic then I don't see something like that affecting the price that much. If they are dedicated to this title then yes that is a problem esp the insert which would be a [email protected]#~# to find by itself. -

Buyatari replied to donssword's topic in Auction Central
I'm shocked these don't go for more. Must be more out there than we suspect. -
****SOLD**** Eli's Ladder paperwork $2000 ****SOLD**** Use it to double the value of your loose cart or split it up and sell off the parts you don't need. This set is near complete and a great deal harder to find than a loose cart. I planned to keep this and get my cart later but life has other plans and I could use the cash for another deal. Included. Instructions has joystick written on upper left hand corner in pen 2 planet sheets. One has "Audrey" and "Addition Planet" written in marker 19 stickers they have lost most of their stick and pop off if touch or move them 2 overlays for 2600 one a 4 switch the other 6 switch Eli's Ladder Difficulty sheet Better pictures can be provided to serious buyers. Missing only 1 Eli sticker and the thought bubble coloring page. There is only one known thought bubble page so you will be hard pressed to find a set more complete. Swordquest Waterworld complete. Box has some crushing. $400 http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/dd273/random185/2010/11/27/PB270198.jpg http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/dd273/random185/2010/11/27/PB270200.jpg http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/dd273/random185/2010/11/27/PB270201.jpg http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/dd273/random185/2010/11/27/PB270203.jpg http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/dd273/random185/2010/11/27/PB270204.jpg http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/dd273/random185/2010/11/27/PB270205.jpg http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/dd273/random185/2010/11/27/PB270206.jpg http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/dd273/random185/2010/11/27/PB270212.jpg http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/dd273/random185/2010/11/27/PB270214.jpg Megaman X7 E3 edition $1000. I think this one was recovered from trash at either THQ or Infogrames by an employee who used to sell to me. There is a bad scratch on the bottom perhaps on purpose to prevent data recovery? Will require some serious resurfacing but I've seen worse) One has Fur Fighters PAL on top One has an Activision disc on top Atari 2600 PAL Big Bird / Cookie Monster NEW $2 each A box of qty 24 Atari 2600 games = $40 plus shipping. That is less than $2 a pop. Get em outta here. Pickup also available if you live near Cleveland.

A cart with box also did not command a high price recently. Something like $1,100. I have received higher offers for what I have recently. The paperwork in this instance is actually better. The box is just the same Atlantis box with a sticker. If the box was different you would be right. Just get a regular Atlantis box, and you're set. Sides it is easy to fake a regular Atlantis II cart. Heck it is not that hard to fake an Atlantis II with box, but in order to fake the docs, you are going to need a lot more. The paper is not normal. You can't just use a printer, and print this. It is not made out of regular paper. Also the embossed logo is kind of tricky to duplicate as well. I am sure CPUWIZ could do a great job at it, but your average Joe is going to have a hard time duplicating this. Well an Atlantis II box is a bad example as it is a normal Atlantis box with a sticker on it. Not very exciting. If you have one great but if not no big deal just put it in a normal Atlantis box for now. I can see someone owning the Atlantis II cart and being ok with not owning the box. What I was talking about was if I had the only Eli's Ladder box I would think most people would care a great deal about that. I believe something like that has only been seen with the boxed Air Raid auction that happened awhile back. You won't find that level of excitement over one of a kind paperwork unless it is signed by George Washington! Most don't care nearly as much about a piece of the paperwork that they don't have. By care in this context I mean spending their own money to own it themselves. They may be interested in knowing about paperwork and seeing it online but they don't pay for it the same way they do boxes and carts. Not just Atari even on the Nintendo side you have this. Rare released titles like Stadium Events and competition carts like the NWC or even the Star Fox competition all follow suit. The games are what people are most excited about and boxes I guess because they look out of place in a collection without them.
