  1. => Lotharek,

    please, chill out and don't call me LIAR on public forum...

    Even in polish language, ok?

    I've just quoted known sentence: ''the real man never reads the manual'', with '';)'' emot, but this was just for a joke.

    I am very disappoited, that You didn't get it...

    But, nevemind.

    => flashjazzcat:

    thank You :) I didn't notice Your answer, I will try it for sure.

  2. => flashjazzcat:

    I'm not accusing anyone, absolutely not, just answering ''mimo'' user.

    => Lotharek:

    very nice to see, that You have time to answer here, on this forum :)

    So answer my previous quesiton, please:

    - where to take A4 and BELL signal from the nearest possible point, near POKEY chip, but directly from Atari 800 mainboard, not form the CPU and GTIA pins?

    Thank You! :)

  3. => mimo:
    Lotharek is very busy man, I asked him many questions , but his answers are either laconic or: ''read the manual, everything is there, why don't You read it first, I know You didn't even read it so I will not waste my time anymore'' etc...
    So NO, no help from Lotharek…

    => Stephen:
    I think maybe I have found the problem: my CPU board is very noisy (I've switched to other CPU board and there is much less background noise)...
    Worth to try is to take A4 and BELL signal from the nearest possible point, near POKEY chip, but directly from Atari 800 mainboard, not form the CPU and GTIA pins.
    Anyone knows where to take those signals from?

  4. Oh,

    yes, I knew those basic settings and those were ok.

    It turned out, that my 810 is just broken (damaged power board), that's why the computer didn't see the drive and there were no communication between them at all.

    After changing the power board for 100% working, the 810 drive works like charm.

    No special settings needed to be set in Incognito's BIOS menu (I thought, that this was the problem, that I messed something up in BIOS, but no).

    Thanks for all Your suggestions. :)

    One more thing: I've ordered and mounted Lotharek's Simple Stereo V2 board.

    But I got strange clicks / noises, I write about it here:

    Can it be the fault of Incognito board?

    Are there any negative interactions between Incognito and Simple Stereo V2 board?

  5. Hi everyone,

    I have question:

    - will Atari 810 drive work with Incognito board?

    If yes, what are proper Incognito Bios settings to make it working?

    I ask, because I can't make it working at all (eg. if I want to format floppy disk in Sparta DOS I got: ''Drive does not respond'').

    When I try to format floppy disk in DOS 1.0 (dedicated for Atari 810 single drive) I got ''Error- 138'' message…

    Anyone help?

  6. Hello everybody,

    I have strange poblem with Simple Stereo V2 board (from Lotharek) installed in my Atari 800 classic computer.

    There are audible background noise/hum, even silent clicks (in both speakers), I've attached short audio file.

    I can hear them during normal computer using or loading game.

    After game is fully loaded there is no hum or clicks, just nice and clear sound.

    I've noticed also, that when I use dual mono mode, there is no clicks at all, just silent constant noise...

    What could be the problem?

    Is it bad ground or voltage problem?

    How to resolve this issue?

    Thank You in advance! :)

  7. Sorry,

    I've used mental shortcut. :)

    Of course, I have 1010 recorder AND 1050 floppy drive.

    Currently I use Transdisk for transfering .cas games (converted to audio WAV format and put on my SD cassette/MP3 player/adapter) to 5,25" floppy disks.

    I am unable to use/load .atr (or any other files than .cas format), because I just don't have any other equipment (like SIO2SD).

    That's what I meant.

    I couldn't find any way to convert .atr / .xex format to .cas, so I think there is no other option but to eventually buy that SIOS2SD thing...

  8. Hi,

    problem is, Transdisk doesn't have copy option at all.

    And I only have Atari 1010 recorder (and MP3 cassette adapter), so I can not load programs in any other format than .cas. :(

    Do You have (or maybe have possibility to convert) that SectorCopy program in .cas format?

  9. Thank You once again, Charlie :)

    Of course, if I transfer some rare programs, I will upload them, but to be honest I have common and well known games only.
    But, who knows what future holds…

    By the way: is there any possibility to transfer Transdisk converted files from disk to another disk?

    I've tried to do it thru DOS 2.5 copy option (D1:name, D2: name) but I got only errors. :(

  10. Maybe I will refresh this topic a little:

    In Transdisk, You must add .OBJ or .BOB extension to saved file's name if You want to load it later from floppy disk.

    And how about Howfen?

    Any additional extension to name also required?

    I ask, because I can not load any game copied from tape to floppy via Howfen (I don't use any extension, because don't know what extension to use exactly, if any required).

    Maybe this is the problem the games just don't want to load...
