Oh, goddamnit, the convention my boyfriend was saving up to go to has been canceled due to the pandemic. This is utterly freaking stupid and sad, and I feel like I need to do something to help him out...

Ah, dang, the IRS decided to schedule my check for snail mail before I got the chance to get my new account and routing numbers to give them for direct deposit. Ah, well...

Ah, no surprise, I got denied for the same BS reason as the other decade's worth of times I got denied: I can work as a greeter at Walmart, therefore I'm not disabled. At this point, it's literally just this exchange: Me to SSI: SSI to me:

...well, crap; just a day after I learn I got denied SSI, I learn I'm eligible for the stimulus check. What a world, eh?

After watching Ashens for a long time, it still messes with me how weirdly the I is spoken in various words by the British; for instance, "titanium" is pronounced like "tit - tanium", with a short "I", but "urinal" is pronounced "Yoo-rai-nal", with a long "I". Very odd...

Best not to describe the rituals they use in their ceremonies, for it is Lovecraftian in its horror... Anyway, I never thought my boyfriend could get more vitriolically political than he has been, the last couple of years, but after I got denied for SSI AGAIN (for like, the billionth time in the last decade), he just flat-out said "screw both sides of the government" and vowed not only never to vote for the Republicans, but also never again to vote blindly for the Democrats. Dunno what the correlation is between that and SSI coverage denial, but whatever...

Well, um... *ahem* that's one way of stimulating the economy, I guess... Wonder if they're buying local?

I think I'm going to try and get my boyfriend to agree to a tradition where, each Easter, we play a round of Peter Cottontail's Egg Hunt. It's a rather fun game, and appropriate for the season.

There's a specific way of doing it, with this version, but it requires rooting the tablet, and I can't get any rooting system to work with my tablet; it recognizes the tablet, but the tablet refuses to root, like, at all. It doesn't brick it or anything, it just doesn't root. I do have a smartphone, but it's a government-issued one for emergencies, and I don't want to risk bricking that just to get the game working.

Sorry, I meant play it, not pay it. ugh. Anyway, tried several rooting programs on my tablet, and none of them work, my tablet seems to be unrootable, for some reason. Got the Dosbox version of Duke Nukem 3D to work, but it plays like utter crap on there, so yeah, I guess I'm just not meant to play it on the go, right now...

Years ago, I picked up Duke Nukem 3D on android, but I didn't really pay it. Now that I want to play FPSes like Doom and Duke Nukem on my tablet/phone, I want to unlock the other two chapters in the game, but it requires a root hack, and I don't want to do that. Is there a way I can get those two chapters unlocked, or am I boned? I do have the Megaton edition on PC, and I know there's a way to play PC games through Dosbox on android, but I dunno how to do that, either. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Not sure what I'd do with it, if I get one; if my boyfriend gets one, he's likely going to upgrade his PC to something better than the laptop he has, now.

Ugh, false alarm with my SSI thing; thanks to the coronavirus, they haven't made a decision, as of yet.

So, apparently, a decision has been made on my SSI application, and I'll be getting the results in the mail, soon. I'm expecting a denial, again, but in these crazy times, I'm not sure...

That's good, but it brings up another issue for us; we're on housing assistance, and the current person doing our reviews is insane; she considers anything we get, no matter how infrequent or small, as income, and even says that to her, a candy bar given to a child you take care of by a neighbor every month is considered income and needs to be reported, so we're not sure if this stimulus check will be considered income to her, and will raise our rent even more. If so, that'll be the last straw for us with her, since she's already raise our rent twice and forced us to pay back hundreds in back pay just because I made under $1000 the previous years. EDIT: My boyfriend called them, and they said they haven't gotten confirmation on whether it's considered income yet or not, but he will need to report it, when he gets it, which we find stupid.

Yeah, I know there's a form for updating your address, but I'm not sure if I would need to use that or not, especially since I've been filing for SSI for so long, that the government has my address, already, through that.

Mmm. Well, that just leaves what I'm supposed to do, if I should file for a return now or wait to see what paperwork they come up with for people like me to file in lieu of a tax return.

My issue is that technically, I'm not on SSI or any other form of disability, but thanks to a long and arduous battle to get on SSI that lasted a full decade (and is still ongoing), I've recently been declared "medically frail" by the FSSA, and thus, cannot work. I haven't been able to file for any taxes, as a result. I dunno if I should file, or wait for a form to be put out for people like me, as the IRS states it may get:

*grits teeth* The IRS and SSA offices are closed, due to this pandemic, meaning I can't contact them to see how I can file for the stimulus check (IRS) or how my SSI application is going (SSA). How in the hell is Trump expecting the checks to go out, if the IRS is literally frozen to a stop, thanks to this pandemic?

Oh, great, one of the recent virus cases in our county is a worker at one of the local hospitals where one of my boyfriend's sisters works at. This isn't good. She's alright, for now, but to know it hit so close to us... we're petrified, now...

Erf, boyfriend decided to ragequit on, of all things, Minecraft. Even on easy, he kept on getting ganged up on and slaughtered by enemies, to the point where he couldn't last much longer than a few in-game days there. I feel bad for him...

Second case of the virus in our county in the same number of days. My boyfriend's paranoid to the point of not wanting to go out and forbidding me to do so. This really sucks...
