  1. It probably wouldn't be worth buying to try to profit on - I had assumed you'd be keeping it. Most everything is very common... although these carts are worth a little more than average. * Demon Attack * River Raid * Math Mileage The Wico sticks are usually snapped up on ebay, but just depends on the condition and if they work well... The only thing going for it is the aftermarket keyboard, unfortunately I can't really see it in the photo, so not sure about rough price.
  2. Just picked up one of these used for $10.00
  3. For the price it's worth it. I would but it if I was in the area
  4. Now, I know who got those from under me. heh yeah i have only wanted a indus for 22 years, could never find one when i had money... now i just need a 600XL and a 400, but they will have to wait... sloopy. 400 huh, pm next time we are in Chat together!
  5. I need to pull out one of my QSII joysticks so I can sucker the base to the desk... I much prefer the Prosticks but holding them in hand for so long HURTS!
  6. I'm currently working my way through my collection and cataloging stuff. I was going through my FSII scenery Disks and came across a piece of paper advertising a Scenery Disk Binder. My question is, does anyone here have one??? I'm looking to buy one, but I'm guessing it's a tough item to find. Therefore I would be happy to just see photos of one LOL. Thanks
  7. That reminds me sloopy, I still need to put ground effects in my 800xl... Purple LED's for maximum pimposity
  8. Dangit... I always miss these... Oh well, put me in line after sloopy if any fall through.
  9. Finally (for now) this place also offers black or white... http://www.thelibrarystore.com/category.jsp?path=-1|98991|105256&id=116696 the nice thing about these is you can get an 8 tape holder, but it has a "literature well" that allows you to put manuals etc inside.
  10. http://www.kloss-stu...ass_albums.html This place sells in bulk, claims White or Black... Maybe go in with some other people here? eBay Auction -- Item Number: 400127734270 Different style, harder plastic by the looks of it... another bulk buy, but if you got them and pieced them out here I'd probably buy some.
  11. http://www.centurybusinesssolutions.com/audio-cassette-portfolio-oa04810/cassette-diskette-storage/ Think these are black outside and in, even though the photo shows Brown... I emailed them for clarification! They hold 12 tapes and cost $20.00
  12. I soldered a wire from R160 to ourside the RFI shield, and then connected the EZ hook to the wire there and wrapped it in electrical insulation tape. My reasoning was that it was not possible to insert the entire EZ hook assembly through the hole in the RFI shield, and so running a line out seemed simpler. Throughout the installation I was trying very hard not to directly hack the 5200 mod board, since if the upgrade didn't work, I was planning on trying to re-sell the mod to a 5200 owner. This was also the reason for the 40-pin IC socket cradle I made instead of soldering the 8 GTIA lines directly onto the mod. Since I now know the mod does work, you could cut the audio line, feed the cut wire through a hole in the RFI shield, and then re-attach it. But if you use the EZ hook to attach to pin 37 of POKEY, you will have to carefully place the plastic part of the hook so it does not get dislodged when you re-assemble the 400. I didn't like the idea of that large hook assembly "floating about" inside the 400 HTH Good to know... I was thinking the same thing about not wanting it "floating about"... I know I'm not going to try and resell it so I may just cut it and solder direct. Not sure when I'll get around to it, but I've downloaded all the photos and pasted the info into a word doc. I'll be sure to update when I do however!
  13. Okay I have the mod and just have a quick question... The Pokey chip lead has a easy connector on it... Did you use it that way, or cut it off and solder direct? Thanks! (I'll be working on this in a few weeks, and will document it also)
  14. I voted category 1, only because I suggested Lone Raider (which funnily enough I love, but suck at LOL)...
  15. My vote goes for the Lone Raider (Atari (UK)) http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-lone-raider-_3033.html
  16. The kit you reference at Best is specifically for adding a monitor port to the 600XL NTSC machines (they have the circuitry for a Monitor port but it was not added) You have to desolder the "holes" on the motherboard and then solder the components in the kit back in, you also have to cut one large trace and you "MAY" have to ream the Monitor socket leg holes out to allow it to fit... This gives you basic Composite video and audio... To add Chroma & Luma you have to add two more resistors, unfortunately the kits rarely ship with the correct Luma resistor (Apparently it's not a size most people have laying around) so to get sVideo you will need to locate said resistor and add it... That being said, I have added this kit to three 600Xl's (one of which dafivehole now has, so you may want to ask him to confirm what the output looks like rather than just take my word for it)... I am a fairly novice solderer and had no issues installing the kits and if you have a NTSC 600XL that you want video from I would recommend that as the way to go... However for 800XL machines you can get sVideo several ways (clearpic mods etc) HOWEVER you can do a simple mod that is a wire and a resistor that will give you full sVIdeo
  17. Very welcome! I added four new pictures showing the cooling holes, the SVideo socket and an annotated image of the CPU board showing the eight tap points ( use zoom as the text is small ). Good deal, I've downloaded all the photos and printed out the instructions... I'm good to go as soon as I get the MOD in the mail. I'll be sure to document my install... Now the question is which 400 do I put it in? regular keyboard or full stroke keyboard machine (both 32k)
  18. Thank you sir... I think I can follow this... Do you have a picture of the extra holes you drilled (just out of curiosity) Thanks
  19. It's cool... you had him put more up and I snaggged one
  20. Sure, I will get some more detailed instructions together this week. In the meantime, the guy I bought my AV mod from has more for sale: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 320530916051 I bought one! There's one left. Oh man, the 400 was my first computer. To have video out (S-video too!!) will really be a joy!!! PLEASE PLEASE compile the detailed instructions when you have the time. I also have 48k I haven't installed yet, either! Crap, I missed it... looks like RF for me on my 400 [edit] Wonder if anyone can figure out how to do the same with a longhorn Engineer mod!(maybe not as they are only 2600/7800)
  21. I shoe-horned the 8bitdomain 5200 A/V mod into my Atari 400. It gives very good SVideo and Composite output. You can see the pictures in my gallery. HTH Very nice... Any chance of a detailed how to, for those of us who are dense
