How is the CAPS key broken? I have a donor machine that has a good keyboard on it that I could pull the CAPS key from (or is it just not working when you press it, that could be a mylar issue)... There are several types of keyboards and I know that I have had clearance issues in the 600XL when putting some of them from an 800XL into a 600XL, however I don't "think" you will have issues going the other way. As for the 600xl, I have several that are all upgraded to 64k, I would be willing to swap your dead one for one of those, that way I can swap parts in and out and figure out whats wrong and you get a working machine with 64k... Let me know... Also I see in your SIG that you are looking for 800xl items. anything in particular? Shoot me a PM, I have a basement full of stuff for trade/sale (In the middle of inventory right now LOL)

Altirra is newer, and actively being developed most importantly. It also has a fantastic debugger, better display routines (courtesy of some Virtual Dub code), support for VBXE. I had used Atari800Win for years, but now I have zero reason to use it. Thanks Steve, that's what I was looking for time to try it out I guess!

I think the reason why the cord is so short is that you're supposed to plug another power supply into it, which reduces cable clutter. Had the cord on it been 6 feet, it would've made the entire setup unnecessary long (this is of course counting the PSU you plug it into), which is something I can't afford in a cramped setup like mine. Personally I've been waiting for something like this ever since I first owned an A8. I've always wanted to use generic power supplies with the XL/XEs, and up until now the only options were getting a another power supply or splicing together a modern power supply. Granted, it looks ungainly, but I'm going to hide it behind my A8 anyway, so I don't have to look at it all the time. Plus it'll save a ton of space in my cable drawer. Personally I think this looks a lot neater... (5vdc 3a switching PSU) - This is not mine BTW, one of the euro atari users... HOWEVER I will be making one using this US version @ 5vdc 2a eBay Auction -- Item Number: 260586951013
