Can I replace my 130XE system with an 800 system?
orpheuswaking replied to FastRobPlus's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Sooooooo what plans do you have for the 130? -
Just wanted to thank everyone for the info on the 1010 PSU, lots of contradictory advice but I have two of the beasts and one is real beat up so I'll test that one out first but even so I just realized that somewhere along the way I picked up an XC12 so I don't really need the 1010 anyway (unless i want to have the matching cases, but really who cares, I have an 810 & 1050 along with the 1010 and XC12 and an 800XL so I have all the different cases )

Sounds fairly easy I'm in the US so the exchange rate might make it a little more than I might want to pay, but I'll wait and see Thanks for your info... $35 including shipping, that's not bad... I'll definitely keep that in mind and keep an eye out on this thread for progress

Please don't throw them out. I imagine someone around here has the tape collecting bug I wouldn't throw out any tapes at all... If no one wants them then I'll keep them Well I realized I have an xc12 tape deck so I was able to run a few games through today and see if the tape deck worked as well as the software was still good, and so far so good... I'll try and catologue these as soon as I get the time
-
Well I also found that I have a xc12 tape deck so I was able to run a few cassettes through and see if they work, and so far so good... "Spiky Harold" worked at least I also realized a LOT of my games on tape are the budget UK releases (Mastertronic, M.A.D, etc)
-
All are commercial releases, I will have to run them all and make sure they still work... I'll try and list them all when I can but I have a LOT!!!

I can do that, but it will take awhile for me to list them all... I'm getting the SIO2PC so I should be able to Archive whatever is missing (if you can help me do it, I would need instructions)

worth every cent, penny, euro or whatever! Dollars and Cents (wait isn't that a Radiohead song?) I'm fairly new at all this, I mean I've had the Atari for years but only used it with the software I have... What software do I need? (DO I need the registered version of APE? I can't really afford it right now)

Commodore Items for sale UPDATED!

Well it seems no one wants the printers so I think I'm going to have to dispose of them. I want to thank everyone who bought stuff as well as everyone who looked... I'll be back in a few weeks with Atari 8-Bit software I think, I like selling here, I think I'll avoid Ebay completely even if I don't make as much money. -

I'll have to look for that store the next time I go to ohio. It's on Brandt pike in the Marian shopping center which is south of I70 (right next door to a store called Vacs n more that sells used Video games for many systems, Nes/Snes N64, 2600 etc...) -

And this is why I love AA, I'm sitting here, still sore from Oral Surgery and this had me laughing like a maniac (Bastards, it hurts to laugh you know)... I need some new artwork for my house, I think I might do this with some of my Atari Tapes I found, I could have a houseful of AA members artwork -
Hey gang, I found a big box of Atari tapes that I had forgotten about in my many moves... I'm in the US but a lot of these are UK games (from full priced to budget releases)... Before I spend the next three months trying to see which still work I'm trying to see if there is any interest at all in people buying these??? Also I found my 1010 tape player but can't locate the PSU, does the 1050 supply work with it?
-
They are beyond tatty A lot of them have been completely crushed, especially the disk ones... I'll probably keep them all though... I did find a huge box of Atari tapes, I'm going to try and see how many still work, those will be the first to go I think as I doubt I'll want to have tapes anymore (But then again probably no one else will either)
-
I've always used stock 1050 drives. When you say Happy/USD and 1050 do you mean it's all included in the upgrade, or would i already have to have Happy and USD onboard? Also how hard are these to install? I only have one 1050 and don't want to toast it

So I have just dug out my remaining three boxes of Atari games and although some of the games boxes are fine a lot are totally ruined (I was young and I didn't think about the value of the games later, I just wanted to play, none of that collector stuff)... So my dilemma, Just keep the Disk/Cart and instructions and trash the boxes, or just keep everything together anyway? I'm thinking of selling most of them now that I will be getting the SIO2PC and looking at ebay most everything is either in a good condition box or loose. Any ideas?
