  1. I got that jacket in Blue and yeah the youth xl is tiny... Looks very 80's and retro when I wear it (ok I look like an asshat, but I like it) I woudn't be able to get one arm in it let alone the rest of my torso Yeah I rarely wear mine, but it looks pretty cool all the same... I almost got it in Silver (was on ebay a year or two ago) but I thought that was too much Michael Jackson going on I'm thinking of just getting some new patches and making my own jacket

  3. Ok, I said I would post once I got everything up and running... All I need to do now (Besides sell all the excess Commodore stuff I got when I purchased the monitors) is to get the SIO2PC And see, Atari can live with Commodore (well actually I use the Atari 95% of the time)
  4. Well the belts are rubber and it ages over time... Getting replacements isn't so hard and they are fairly easy to replace (I've done it 3 or 4 times now and I'm about as handy as a chocolate teapot) I don't recall the dimensions on the xc12, but I've purchased replacement belts from here http://www.action-electronics.com/belts.ht...ve+belt#Measure Or you might want to email http://www.best-electronics-ca.com/ they have all kinds of cool stuff, probably have or can tell you where to get the correct belts...
  5. I can attest to DGS and Futura, as I have issues of both...
  6. No EA boxed title sells for 99c. Some are rather common (as Archon) and they shouldn't sell for much higher. But it is one of the favorite publishers, and they always sell with a high premium above its rarity. MULE is probably the all time favorite game. Again, not rare, but everybody wants it. I'd recommend selling each EA boxed game separately. Certainly do so with MULE. Yeah I did a search and kind of came to that conclusion too... I have some of the EA games for the commodore too, think I may put them all up separately on Ebay
  7. That's what I was thinking, For example I have about 5 or 6 of the EA gatefold packaged games (archon etc), was thinking of putting them up as a single lot... I just found out I have TWO copies of M.U.L.E. though, might do that one separate Then maybe just bundle the others together...
  8. That may be the plan. But I may get rid of some of my common stuff just to free up space, I mean I can play pacman multiple ways
  9. Ok, I have my Atari 800xl set back up and I have my PC nearby... I'm thinking of buying the SIO2PC from AtariMax. However my dilemma is that I have a ton of software already and there isn't really anything else I foresee wanting to buy to play. Therefore my justification for buying the SIO2PC is selling off the software. However looking at Ebay I don't really see a market any longer for Atari Carts or Disks, everything is either ultra rare (which I don't have) or selling for about 99c or so (and I may as well just keep it at that rate)... So anyone have any ideas??? Thanks
  10. UPDATED LISTING, I decided to hell with Ebay for now Well it seems no one wants the printers so I think I'm going to have to dispose of them. I want to thank everyone who bought stuff as well as everyone who looked... I'll be back in a few weeks with Atari 8-Bit software I think, I like selling here, I think I'll avoid Ebay completely even if I don't make as much money. 11. Actually speaking of firmware hackers, the company iRobot that makes the Roomba and Scooba ALSO makes one just for hackers. check this out http://www.irobot.com/sp.cfm?pageid=305 Looks pretty cool... You can program it direct from your computer or buy this 8 bit control module iRobot Command Module The Command Module contains an 8-bit, 20 MHz (Atmel ATMega 168) microcontroller enabling full programmability of iRobot Create’s motors, lights, sounds, and sensor readings. The Command Module plugs into the Create robot’s cargo bay connector and provides on-board control with programs you write in C or C++. It has four DB-9 expansion ports for adding your own hardware. Includes Command Module CD (containing 3 example programs and the compiler), USB cable, and Quick Start Guide. Full documentation available online. And it's fairly low cost, starts at $129 for just the Bot, or up to $299 for a kit with everything
  12. I think I'm going to keep the monitors and two of the drives and one of the 128's... That leaves 2 drives, 1 64c and 1 128 (as well as the two printers) up for sale I'm offering it here before I go to Ebay so any offers PM me... And again thanks for everyone that has helped me here in the last few months... I promise all future posts will be Atari specific
  13. Seems i have a couple of disk drive cables spare.... How much do they go for? What part of the world are you in? (and just to make sure I am looking at the right thing it's the cable that has the round plugs that goes 6 pin to 6 pin right?)

  15. I'll take a look tomorrow, but if I recall each drive came with one cable and I don't want to separate the drives from the cables... I'll let you know... Haven't had time to have a good look yet, but at first glance it appears I wont have an extra... But I'll post if I find one... Anyone know how much a 3 1/2 inch Commodore 1581 disk drive would go for? I'm thinking I wouldn't use that one as much and probably will be the first thing I sell

  17. Ok guys, as some of you may recall I was trying to buy a monitor so I could set up my Atari again after a LONG hiatus!!! Well today I made a very good deal and in the bargain now have a ton of Commodore stuff. So tomorrow I will be setting my 800XL back up and will take some pics so everyone can see In case anyone is interested here is what I got for $100 1902A monitor Magnavox monitor (Identical to the 1902A) 2x Commodore 128 1x Commodore 64c 3x 5 1/4 Disk Drives 1x 3 1/2 Disk Drives 6 Joysticks 2x Okidata 120 Printers All the cables and PSU's An old power strip with the switches to turn everything on and off separately About 1000 disks (obviously mostly pirate stuff but some loose original games) About 20 full games with cases and all instructions (Mostly EA games like seven cities of gold etc) A ton of books Some Carts (freeze frame, Speed carts, Currah speech, and some others I don't know yet) I'm definitely keeping the Monitors but not sure what I'm going to do with the Commodore stuff yet. I'm thinking of keeping one of them and maybe a couple of disk drives and selling the rest. on ebay... Anyone have any thoughts on this? Should I keep it all? and if I do keep some of it would a 128 be better or the 64c, and how many disk drives would be best, 2? Anyway thanks for reading and I'm looking forward to getting my Atari back up... I'm sorry for putting Commodore stuff in here, but I know you guys are cool about helping out as best you can...
  18. That's a great piece of info, once it's hooked up I'll be leaving it plugged in, I think I'm going to run the Atari through the RCA and the Commodore through the DIN 2 socket (at least until I get bored with the commodore and sell it ) If it does break though I can probably fix it, I had the same issue with an old monitor I used to have and just opened up the back and put in a stronger jack (plus I'm getting an Amdek monitor that's almost identical as well, so if it does go tits up I can just swap it out )
  19. I got a hold of the manual, and yes the second din has the Chroma/Luma and audio all on separate pins... So I could theoretically make my own cable if I chose to add the chroma trace to the 800xl and go for the better picture... But thanks all for the awesome replies
  20. Another thought just hit me... If I have a monitor and cable wouldn't I be able to use either a NTSC or a PAL system? I have both here (originally from the UK so I have 3 PAL and 1 NTSC) as long as I use the US powersuply ?
  21. Well, you have one plug on the Atari side with five pins and on the other side three plugs that probably look the same. It might work, but Murphy's law tells us, chances are high, composite video is on one of the pins you miss on the "non-Atari" side. Just test the cable (the color of the wires might not mean much, so just try some combinations) and if you find that the right video signal is left out, try to get a cable that has five of those plugs on the monitor side. You'll still only use two of these, but the right video signal is garanteed to be on one of them. Greetings Mathy Thanks Mathy, I should have been a little more clear... The cable I have is a working Atari cable that has the video and two audio that I have been using on my regular TV, my question is will the video output from this work on the video input on the 1902A (I purchased the cable from Dean Garraghty so it's the same as this http://cgi.ebay.com/Atari-800-XL-XE-Commod...1QQcmdZViewItem but with split audio) I'm assuming that the video input on the far left is a regular video input and the only reason I would need to wire a cable would be if I did the chroma mod ans wanted a Luma/Chroma cable for a better picture? (The nice thing if I can just use the video/audio input I should be able to hook both the Atari and the Commodore up at the same time as I have a Commodore to DIN cable)
  22. New question, one of the monitors I am getting is a commodore 1902A that has 1 audio, 1 video, and then a DIN socket, with my regular cable it goes out from the Atari to one video and two audio jacks... will this work or do I need to wire the cable to work on the chroma and luma ports on the din socket?
  23. Interesting posts... Thanks guys... I think I'll just go for the APE & SIo2PC for right now and expand more later
