  1. I tried this a few times and the stick seems to work better. The stick is pretty stiff but I can play Brice Lee and get to the end now with no random ducking. The first time I tried this mod the case did not fit together perfectly, there was a space on the front side of the joystick. It seemed to cause random attacking in Bruce Lee when I tried jumping diagonally. I readjusted the case and screwed the four bottom screws in tightly. Then the random attacking went away and the diagonals work well too. The stick is stiff but I can live with that as long as it does what I want.
  2. Do they still sell products like this? I could not find one.
  3. The Playstation mini controller (works great!)
  4. Switch Pro Controller (does not work) PS4 controller (works!)
  5. The only current fix that works 100% is to use a different controller. I am now using a PS4 controller.
  6. Do we have to return the whole thing to return the joystick? I still think the 400 mini is pretty neat, I would just prefer a joystick that is good for using.
  7. Yeah, the stick is just bad. I don't think I will be able to enjoy playing the 400 mini. I also kept resetting the game by accidentally pressing the left ring button.
  8. I am not even that manly but I guess I am a bit rough and tumble πŸ€Έβ€β™‚οΈ
  9. I loosened the screws and the stick feel looser. When playing Bruce Lee I still get ducking when running left or right sometimes. I find I still have to use the controller gently in order to stay in control.
  10. It looks like I will have to try this solution too. Could you give the steps you took to do this? The last time I tried taking apart my 8bitdo controller it was hard to get back together again will all the small parts.
  11. I made a file called gamecontrollerdb.txt with the following lines of text: # Linux 050000007e0500000920000001000000,Nintendo Switch Pro Controller,a:b0,b:b1,back:b8,dpdown:h0.4,dpleft:h0.8,dpright:h0.2,dpup:h0.1,guide:b12,leftshoulder:b4,leftstick:b10,lefttrigger:b6,leftx:a0,lefty:a1,rightshoulder:b5,rightstick:b11,righttrigger:b7,rightx:a2,righty:a3,start:b9,x:b2,y:b3,platform:Linux, 03000000ff1100004133000010010000,PS2 Controller,a:b2,b:b1,back:b8,leftshoulder:b6,lefttrigger:b4,leftx:a0,lefty:a1,rightshoulder:b7,righttrigger:b5,start:b9,x:b3,y:b0,platform:Linux, I put it on the root of my usb stick and started up the 400 mini. The Switch Pro Controller was plugged into the first usb slot and the cx stick was plugged into slot 2. The Pro controller did not work on the menus or after I started a game from the usb stick.
  12. Thanks, I will look into this and see if I can get my Switch Pro Controller working with it.
  13. Yes, mine is really bad. I was able to get to the halfway point in Bruce Lee but every death was because the stick was not working right. So far I have not gotten any of my other controllers to be recognized by the 400 mini. Have you guys tried any other controllers?
  14. Amazon now says arriving by tomorrow! I better get busy and finish all my work!! Can't wait!!! I better calm down!!!!
  15. I do not like surprises. I like seeing the box opened before I get it so I know what to expect. This is only true when I buy 'Big' items. For me the 400 mini is a big item.
  16. I hope the surprise is Atari-8 bit related and not about their new recharged arcade games. Atari sure is doing a lot lately. Amazon tells me "Now arriving March 29". Hopefully that is accurate.
  17. Here is a interview about the 400 mini
  18. My wife and I played thig game again today. It is still good
  19. The slot does not open. πŸ™ƒ
  20. You could try fixing them up and then selling them on ebay. That way you get the joy of finding it and resorting/modding but do not have to store it.
  21. Good game. I tried it after seeing it on ZeroPage
  22. I think it is a great idea. It seems like most people in the US have forgotten about the Atari 8-bit computers but I remember them fondly. The 400 was my first computer but we sold it and upgraded to the 800 after a year with the 400.
  23. Thanks for making this game. My wife and I enjoyed playing it together.
