  1. Mine did the same thing, open it up and look where the door has a peg on the bottom. The peg should push a metal leaf down for a connection, my door was old and that part had broken, with some tape and some paper i had it running in no time...open it up and this will make more sense.

  2. It's not abandonware, so it's not online anywhere. You might have to hit a few thrifts or maybe some stores like Half-Price Books to locate a copy. Or, make a post in the Wanted section of the forum. I've got a copy, but I have no idea where on Earth it is, otherwise i'd send it to you.

thnaks for the info...does the same apply to all those great old learning games like oregon trail and such?

  4. Semms like a cool enough idea to me. It sorta sounds like "the wizard" movie that nintendo came out with, without the runing away factor...but there is enough different to make it original. I would help in anyway i could.

  8. Mines gotta be the NES. Super mario never gets old, and blaster master has always been a favorite of mine. Plus when i get bored i can always spend my time cleaning it over and over to make it keep working...

But ps2 gives it a run for the money for only one game..amplitude..the only new game i cant stop playing....but NES still takes the cake

  9. I am REALLY looking for a game called "key to the castle", i just found out the real name to it. So if anyone has it on 5 1/4 floppy that they can spare i would love a copy. I would pay a fair amount...alos anyone have anyother ibm info for me?

    Thanks

    ~Jon

  10. Juts got one of these suckers for $2. Pretty cool machine. Anyway i was wondering how hard it is to find games for these on floppy, besides ebay, and anything fun you can do with em. I last time i played with one i was 9. And i am also looking for a game called castle, it was one of the most fun games i ever played as a kid, and i really want it back!

    Thanks!

  11. I have been trying to master Solar Fox for the past couple of months. Whenever I sat down to play Atari, it was usually the first game I played. However, I never made it past rack 25 or H-E-L-I for the challenger screens. Finally, this morning I got to Rack 37 and completed the challenger screens by getting H-E-L-I-O-S. My score was 736,400, by far my best ever.

My question is what happens next? Do the challenge screens keep coming? Does the game go on forever using the same twenty screens over and over? Does it get harder in that more shots are fired at you? at a faster speed? Does my ship slow down (like in Jr. Pac-Man?)?

I guess I thought that once you spelled H-E-L-I-O-S, the game was over, you sent away to CBS Electrronics for the stickers and went on with your life. Apparantly, this game, like life, keeps going on even after your primary goal has been accomplished (damn! too philisophical again!).

Anyone know the all-time high score on this game?

Thanks to anyone who answers. I've been obsessed with this incredible game, in my opinion, the best ever on the 2600.

My fried is a master of this game, he has maxed out the score 2 times, in one game. But about your question, the rack #'s reset after 99 i think, and they go through the same ored agaun...

    hope that helps
