EDIT: sorry to doublepost...i am sucking at life today..

  2. nintendo probably would of sold a ton of cubes if they had that color scheme or a special edition cube unit that was shaped like the old nes.  Id go out today and buy it.

If they release a revolution unit looking like that, im in!    I think we should bombard nintendo with emails every day including that mock up picture to sink in their heads what the conusmer wants, but im sure & hope they already know that.  :)

  3. Wouldn't this go in the entertainment section?  At any rate it looks neat, even if it makes no sense.  Makes me wish lucas had done a cgi clone wars movie.

    Sadly, no.

My SCD2 has been a perfect angel for its entire life.

If I had to guess, I'd say make sure the wires to the spindle motor are connected at both ends. Possible there's a bad solder joint, or a loose ribbon cable.

I will try those, thanks for your help!

  5. Jon, i think it is missing the belt or the belt is broken.  also the laser is probobly broken, otherwise it would at lest detect a game, just freeze.

    SegaCD2s don't HAVE belts.

And no, it WON'T detect a game if it can't spin the disk.

Don't offer advice unless you ACTUALLY know something about the subject.

  6. My sega cd is not working right. I know that there is all sorts of topics on this, but most are for the front loading kind, i have the top loading kind. It powers up and sayd sega cd and then just goes to the no game screen and does not even spin the disk. I already looked to see if i needed a new belt, but it does not seem to have a belt....any ideas?

    Thanks!

  7. There's an excellent review of this in the new issue of Retro Gamer (well, the one that we US folks just got that is).

It claims that while the unit works good with Famicom games, that it would be unstable if you plugged a NES cart in. It would be pretty flimsy and wobbly.

The adapter would be wobbly, or the gameplay?
