I got this One off of eBay Mean Well RD-50A-VP Enclosed Switching AC-to-DC Power Supply, Dual Output, 5V-12 Works like a charm , tested extensively! fits quite nicely in there on the plate with two screws on the underside. Forgive me for being lazy with wiring colors ?

I gave up, bought a “meanwell” psu off of eBay and it works fine. Both my st and ste works fine with the oem psu(and the meanwell) but neither of them with the centuriontech one , my intentions was to retire the oem psu, of old age, simply to be safe .

Nope , didn’t work at all..

I got the same psu from the same company , but have been unable to make it work on either my 1040stf or my 1040ste. Both machines work fine with the oem psu’s. But not with this one, I really want both to get new psu’s but now I’m not so sure about this one?! Anyone see something that I have done wrong here? Hope there it’s me and not the psu ?

Thanks for all the feedback guys , appreciate it! From what I gather here, its not a big deal in this day and age that it’s pal machine allbeit, in the us ! Anyone has a specific suggestion of which production choose regarding s-video to hdmi? Maybe one that can be used with my (European) ste as well?

Hey everyone, I’m excited to relive my teens and getting and 800xl again, but have some questions. It’s from the uk and being a pal version , I’m looking for advice in regard to converting it to ntsc. But then again, isn’t the whole pal/ntsc subject something to worry about , only if you’re using it via an uhf/tv connection? So you use the monitor port, is this still an issue? Thinking about either doing a Sophia or vbxl upgrade - any feedback on what to consider in regard to this? Thanks Joel

That indeed sounds like fun! I relocated to the us and califorina/Irvine a few years ago(from Norway) and the last few years the retro bug has hit me and its not going away! Unfortunately my Atari´s is sitting in storage in Norway , a TT030, a Falcon and a 1040STF! Gonna try and arrange to get them over here in the near future! Joel =)
