Will we see this Imagic game?  It was a European exclusive.  It was also on other consoles at the time.  It's the only Imagic title that did not see a US release.

    That would be epic!

    Yeah it would be.

If only there was somebody in charge over there that could say "Make it happen!", but I guess Phil Spencer doesn't work for Intellivision, so we can only dream.😈

Crazy people. Saying they're just speaking their minds while calling us idiots and kool-aid cults and making absolutist statements about something six months away like they're highly trained experts. I've decided their all deranged megalomaniacal jackasses. Don Quixote's tilting at windmills and chasing giants with butterfly nets.

And the thing is, they're shilling for Nintendo Switch in a video that's not about the Switch.

It's like coming to your house & saying "My house is better, Yours is an overpriced dump with termites" and expect you not to kick them out. Then they pretend to be all innocent by saying "Chill, Dude! Don't get so sensitive! You need a safe space, Bruh? Why are you so angry?"

Universal Entertainment Corporation developed the game.  Not sure who owns it.

It used to be Aruze Corp, but they turned back into Universal Entertainment Corporation after 2008. They used to own all SNK games also, but lost those eventually.

    They made quite a few!

  4. Ok. Can't help myself here, so indulge me.🥺

You actually did answer it. "How will those buttons hold up?" You said "We've been testing the crap out of them..." I assume if they fail testing, then they won't be included in the box. But in reality, Bruno here doesn't care about the question. He cares about getting his "Gotcha!" moment.

And just to show the ratio of 10% haters vs 90% everybody else... and yes I cut your face in half on purpose, because no reason.

You know what's interesting?  Is that with the box art of these older games, you think/hope the actual games look like that.  It's always cool to see the effort put into the cover art.

Hahaha! I guess it was how they had to sell them, because the actual games never lived up to the promise of the artwork.

    This is what you bought...

Kind of a shame that 4 years later "honesty in advertising took over", and created these eyesores.

Growing up in the Philly suburbs, hee haw just freaked me out a lil. Its was always on during those TV dead hours like 6 pm saturday or something and the banjo and outfits and country jokes were just a lil weird to me....

Me too. I grew up in California when this was on. My stepfather watched it every Saturday. 🙄

Then I'd go outside and see a world without twangy inbreds and hats with price tags still hanging off them.

I would love to see that on Amico! I've read it's a lot like Joust in the way it plays. And also those other two below that @wolfy62 mentioned, Moonsweeper and Beezer.

Since I was a kid I’ve always thought a 2D side view (which was all that was available at the time) hang gliding game would be cool. Not sure why, as I’ve never had any interest IRL but every time I see one I’m fascinated and entranced. Riding the thermals to gain altitude, having staying afloat, trying to get to particular locations, avoid hitting the mountains, having different locations & mountains with different wind/thermals/weather effects, and introduce some game elements like getting to items/power up’s, having to avoid birds or other meanies and drop items to achieve som objective.

    think this would be cool.

There was one on colecovision that had a guy holding balloons flying over an amusement park, that sounds like what you're describing.

Atari had an arcade game years ago called Fast Freddy, where he hang glided over cities & schtuff.

The numbers speak for themselves: you don't need to be in love with Tommy to be interested in the Amico. We've even seen some very critical hardcore gamers complaining about the price of the console recognize that they preordered the machine.

I replied to a couple of them. They seem to conveniently ignore the fact that Coronavirus is driving up the prices of components, and that's what is causing most of the price hike.

They also believe that XBSeriesX/PS5 will be $400 instead of the more likely $600-650 price range... also because of shortages due to the pandemic. They ignored that talk between Rich & Tommy, probably because they only watched 10 minutes of it.

I get what you are saying about the sounds, but then I got to the part about the banjo I thought a banjo in a video game?! Is Tommy planning to release a game based on the old TV show He Haw or something?! 🤣

What's a bog without a swamp rat playing banjo?

It's E10+. We can't actually have his sister dance naked on the kitchen table like in real life.😲

I'm fairly certain Tommy has stated it will be 2 channel sound. 2.1 (left, right, subwoofer) is about all they need... or something of a mixture with left, right, center, subwoofer channels.

The games are all 2D or flat planes so there won't be any actual need for surround sound that I can think of gameplay wise. It might be nice to add immersion to the music, but not necessary.

Atmospheric sounds in the rear channels. Hooting owls, crickets, an occasional splash from a fish, distant banjo playing or the flutter of a dragonfly in Frog Bog for example. How about a game level where it rains in the bog & the sounds of water coming down envelop the room? Then the next level, we hear water droplets as the rain subsided.

Auntie Em! Uncle Henry!  It's a twister!  It's a twister!

    ...and Leon is getting laaaaaaaaarger!

p.s. I never understood the Leon getting larger reference.  Anyone here know?  Funny as hell.. but never got the reference.

Leon is just his coworker that's getting a bit... fluffy.

It's in response to another air traffic controller telling Lloyd Bridges "Bad news. The fog's getting thicker."

Tragically Stephen Stucker, the actor who played Johnny in both Airplane movies, died of AIDS related complications in 1986.

This COVID-19 pandemic, just reminds me that most of us Gen X/Boomer gay men lived through all this shit before in the 80s & 90s.

Watch "SteelSeries Free TouchScreen Gaming Controls Review- Very Good" on YouTube

     Is this the inspiration

I have a pair of those. They work great for twin stick shooters, but the suction cups & the iPad need to stay clean for them to stay there & not slide around loose.

That's what I get when I use my iPad while I'm eating fried chicken.🤭
