I have found that the only reason I would want to connect directly to the console for sound was the need to have mic support in chat while playing online. Seeing that the Amico wont have this right away and all you are looking for is to get audio. Then I would use the external audio port on the tv. Most tvs have a port 3.5mm but you might find a bluetooth external unit to tap into the port then connect your air buds to that device.
You can also hook up the HDMI through a sound system receiver. Everything I got hooked up runs through my Denon receiver & I use my surround system for sound. Don't even know what my TV's speakers sound like (Probably the usual crappy). There's headphone jacks and BT on the Denon if I want to use headphones.

Sounds cool. But it's not necessary on vertical shooters.

Blazing Lazers is Gunhed, though, since that was based on a Japanese movie called Gunhed which I have never seen. Gunhed is expensive, by the way. I think Space Megaforce is Super Aleste or something like that. I think I have it on my SD2SNES Pro, but it's been a while and I am not really a SFC/SNES type of dude. Anyway, the whole thing is confusing as hell. Eventually I'll get around to playing them all.
Anyway, you are missing out on the XE-1AP! You have to get it so you can play the like 5 games that support it with analog control! The only other game that I know of that supports it is After Burner II, though.
Why would I need an analog controller when this still works?
SMS & MSX games were never released in the US, so I didn't know. There was a Game Gear version of MUHSA called GG Aleste as well, but only for Japan. Gunhed, now I remember. I assumed it was in the Aleste series because some Blazing Lasers' weapons are repeated in Space Megaforce. Maybe the name was changed by Hudson Soft as a tie in to the film.
I didn't pay attention to the series during the Saturn/Playstation era. All I know is that Aleste was a long running series of shooter games made by Compile until they closed business & I read in a magazine that MUSHA was the 2nd in the series.

Not until Amico proves it's successful. Tommy has said that when talking about them and Electronic Arts, so I'd say the same thing about Hard Hat Mack and Axis Assassin.

American MUSHA. Published by Seismic. Same game, designed by Compile. Game #2 in the Aleste series.
American names for #1 & #3 are Blazing Lasers for TG-16 & Space Megaforce for SNES.

1 minute ago, Steven Pendleton said:Musha Aleste is cheaper. It also works with the XE-1AP controller! Nobody knows there was a controller for Sega hardware that had analog sticks and shoulder buttons before Nintendo, but there was. It's also pretty expensive now. They cost like 9000 yen. I need to go buy one eventually.
I got mine new in 1991. But good advice on those that missed out.

Do we need to ask about Activision games when we know they won't license to Intellivision?

IMO, it's the best shooter on a system known for it's great shooters like Thunder Force III.

Q: Why did the chicken cross the road?
A: High score, baby!

But that only begs the question...
Q: Why did the Baby cross the road?
A: Because he was stapled to the chicken.

Old, derivative 2600 games are the last thing I need when there's only going to be 12 retro-reimagined games per year. One every 7-10 days in scheduling. Makes it 52 games a year... tops. Most likely 36, which cuts the annual retro game releases down to 9.

There's a reason why MUSHA cartridges go without a box for over $300 on eBay.

A dollar? I'd at least charge $500. That'll pay for most of a stomach pump job at a clinic.🤒

All Amico-ians that have YT channels must have beards.

Actually I think it's more likely that we're all in stay at home orders and have no reason to shave, can't get our hair cut, or feel up to tweezing the nose hairs out.

I mean everyone, will own an Amico 2050... and playing cribbage, various family games.... and remembering the "olden" days of 2020 when Amico 1st came out...
So, what will Amico 2050 have on it?
1,2,3... go..
Oh by the way... hope Sandra Bullock is there in 2050 to play Amico with.
haha
