Ok, I've been looking into this for a while and have found no info. What's the deal with the 1st release of Pesco and ebivision pac man? This is a screenshot from YouTube, but this happens on my actual system in both games 4 out of 5 times I switch on the power. I assume this is a programming bug and not system related, but I honestly have no idea. Pesco and pac man are missing half their bodies and seem stuck in the walls, along with the enemies.

Anyone know what would cause a 2600 cart dust cover to not "push back" all the way? I have a copy of Return of MBwhere this is an issue, wont insert fully into the cart port because the dust cover doesnt retract fully. I know the game works because if I press down and keep my hand on the cart, the game starts. Seems like a chip or a component on the board is blocking it. I don't want to open it because the game is oop.

The springs seem fine, no harsh noise, scraping visible springs poking out or strange resistance, that's usually what I notice when those are going bad or dislodged in the cart during shipping which is why I'm confused lol. when I stick a screwdriver in the peg holes and push back the mechanism by hand, there's a point where it just won't go any further no matter how hard I push without risk of breaking anything. It's just really weird cuz it's a legitimate Atariage release with the same boards Al uses, and the cart seems to have never been opened. I got it second hand on ebay, Im certain that Al wouldn't send a game out to someone that doesn't insert into a system. At least i can play on the harmony. Was worth asking.

My copy of Venture Reloaded is out for delivery today. Finally picked it up for my Birthday. That's aspergers for ya though. You can be super obsessed with something for a few months or even years and then put it in the back of your mind involuntary for quite a while. Got into retro computing for a bit, and played around on my old windows xp rig, but i can never forget the vcs.

Was able to get through floor 1 in my brief testing. I just have to say that Nathan Strum really hit it out of the park with the packaging, label and manual design. Can't really appreciate these things until you have em in your hands. Extremely well done. And the game itself is beyond praise, absolutely outstanding.

Was anyone else bidding on the combat two and coke wins resqsoft listings from the same seller? Holy crap, someone swooped in earlier today and put up a crazy high max bid on both. I slowly started adding bids to the combat two cart and after 80 something bucks, my brain started functioning again, someone either definitely wants this more than I do, thinks it's something else, or they are fake bids. Too much for me lol. Still listed if anyone wants to check them out.

Just realized my profile still says "New Member", but I've had this account for two years. Is this and the ranking based on content, comments and likes? I'm an IT professional but I've never been a member of a forum before, just a casual browser. Pretty crazy. On a semi related note, I've never seen Back to the Future. I remember as an 18 year old or so, someone asked me if I ever saw it, and they freaked out when I said no. I purposely haven't watched it since that point so I can get that reaction every time someone asks haha. Hope everyone has a good night.

@Gemintronic That sounds like a cool idea. I'm no programmer, and don't know the limitations. But if you could somehow program the game to grab level and map files from the Plusstore/cloud and only load constantly used assets like character sprites and hud from the start, couldn't one make a massive game beyond the size of cartridge format? Really cool stuff to think about here
