  1. Well, i got an email back today. I emailed her back and asked if she remembered the game.. I can't believe they actually still had those computers!
  2. I just emailed the school librarian about the computers. I think she's the same one from when i went there, so she might actually remember the names of the games.
  3. actually, i remember playing a game like that on an apple II.. i think. my elementary school had a computer lab with lots of floppy games. i remember that i didn't like that game because it was really slow. I liked Oregon Trail and Otter Pond better. The name sounds about right... but i think it had another word to it. Like Math Moon Lander. Or Apollo Math Lander.. or something. Hell, I bet that school still has the games. I went there until '98 and we were still using the Apple IIs. I might call them up and see if they still have the games laying around....
  4. THANK YOU! I vaguely remember the commerical.. a kid is in his room or something then there was a glowing drink case (like at a gas station) full of mario soda. and i so remember there was a contest and you had to look in the bottom of the can for something.
  5. Does anyone else remember Nindendo having a soda? The cans were 1/2 the size of regular cans and they had mario and stuff on them.. and there was something about looking inside the can to see if you won a prize..
  6. I don't actively collect for the NES, mostly because I get ripped off. Store Owner: "Hey, Super Mario Bros. 3. I've heard of that and therefore it's worth $25." Seriously, I haven't seen a SMB3 cart priced under $25 in forever.
  7. I'm 19 and I'm into all sorts of videogames. I love all 17 of my systems equally...except the game.com. I've always loved videogames, I was playing Dragon Warrior on my brother's NES before I could read. I wasn't introduced to the 2600 until I was 17 and it was love at first sight. Then it became cool to love "old school nintendo." except spelled skool. My Senior year at highschool I brought my 2600 in like 7 times, because I wanted everyone to learn that videogames weren't invented in 1985. tangent- seriously, why does everyone call it old school nintendo? why not NES, or as I used to say, regular nintendo?
  8. I will say that your controller is the best looking (and only) cardboard controller I've ever seen.
  9. I get a lot of my super nintendo games from a pawnshop in town and I can only guess, but I think someone pawned their whole Super Nintendo collection because someone else puked on it. Link to the past and Lawnmower man smelled like puke, had a very nasty residue all over them and had brown crusty in all the little indents of the cartridge. I can't take a picture because I cleaned them, a while ago. Vomit-covered is a pretty bad condition, I think.
  10. Did you see they have Chocolate Lucky Charms now? I'm not kidding, It's like Coco Puffs with rainbows that stuff is soooo good. It's pretty much like using chocolate milk with lucky charms, except better.

    macbook

So this one time I didn't have a reliable computer for around a year. Now I have a fancy new macbook! And with a reliable computer, I can do online things! hot damn!
  13. so.. does anyone want this light pen? I don't have an 8-bit computer, and i most likely won't have one for a long time.
  14. got mine with sonic 2, and ac adaptor for a dollar at salvation army..

    I caught a pigeon!

it's the Lourve. went to Europe with my mother.. free plane tickets, btw. if you plan to buy a car buy a volvo and ask them about the free trip to pick it up in sweeden.
  16. I know a kid who only plays portables.. gamegear, GBcolor, GBA and now he's got a PSP
  17. I picked up a R.O.B with the gyromite set up (except the actual cartridge) at salvation army in the styrofoam inner-box. the gyros still have the paper warning covers, and a bunch of other manuals were shoved in there too. pic i picked it up for $4.50. how much is R.O.B worth? ..and does anyone happen to have an extra copy of gyromite laying around that you'd be willing to sell?
  18. Went to Salvation army the other day and hit the jackpot. Got myself a Sega Gamegear (still with battery cover thingys) Sonic 2 and an AC adapter all for $1.00 which is amazing because my salvation army thinks it's fair to charge $5.50 for a Nintendo cart. Then I picked up a gameshark thing for N64 for $0.50 And finally, i got a R.O.B for $4.50 with all the Gyromite stuff (well, except the cart) and a bunch of other random manuels!
  19. after being told that pacman with analog controllers is horrible i was very surprised when i had no problems at all. i actually like the 5200 controllers, i wish the side buttons were hard plastic instead of the soft rubbery stuff.. but that's really my only complaint.
  20. I just got a 5200 a few days ago, and i'm loving it. Don't open those damn controllers... ugh. too complicated, luckly one of my two controllers works %100
  21. yes and yes. you can use a nintendo rf switcth. but composite would yield the best results
