I am downsizing my collection. I am selling 10 Atari 2600 games Mint In Boxes . Hardly played. Bought them only for collection. Please take a look!
-
how much do you think it would go? Very nice condition, I must say!
-
These are actually not loose carts. They all boxed games. My biggest problem is I can't find online stores that would sell 8x6x2 and 8x6x5 shipping boxes for 25 cents or less. Uline has one but if you count their shipping cost, the price per unit is more like 60 or 70 cents. Not to mention that I have to buy the tapes while with PM I can get free boxes and free tapes. Here's how I factor in the shipping cost: Each boxed game weighs about 4 ounce Each shipping box weighs about 7 ounce The Green Delivery Confirmation Number cost 50 cents Peanuts or Newspaper weighs between 1 to 3 ounce If I don't use Priority Mail, each shipping box costs 70 cents Cost of the shipping is based on the distance from California to New York How do you guys cut the cost of shipping as much as possible?

After calculating the the cost of the shipping boxes, tapes, the size of the Atari game boxes, and their weight, I came to the conclusion that it might be best if I just use Priority Mail when I ship my games. I need your opinion with my shipping rate. Shipping rate anywhere in the US for boxed games by Priority Mail 1 to 2 games $4.55 3 to 6 games $6.55 7 to 10 games $8.60 Games will be shipped within 1 business day after payment. All shipping includes delivery confirmation number. What do you think about my shipping rate? Is it too high or just about right? What do you think folks? I need your opinion before listing my games. Thanks! Hendra

It's a good thing when a famous person bought your item.

You can always find the item someone bought or sold in the last 30 days by using Advanced Search.

What is your experience with winning bidders whose feedbacks are private? Especially those with a few recent negs or neutrals. I have just cancelled the bid of someone whose feedback is private. He has 2 negs and 1 neutral in the last 6 months. 5 members left negs overall. 98% positive feedback. Wouldn't worry me if his feedback were public. But the fact he made it private made me nervous. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt by asking why his feedback is private but he didn't answer. He must have something to hide.

First of all, I apologize if this is not the right forum. If this is not appropriate, please delete it. I know quite a lot of you are engineers or technical people. I have a nice TI DSP Starter Kit auction currently in Ebay. Some of you might be interested.

Had the condition of the boxes were better, I would have bid higher! It seems IMPOSSIBLE to find any gatefold box in MINT condition The most common damage that I noticed is the crease along the side of the box

I am not an expert, and I haven't created any game gear other than pong game in hardware but I can give you some suggestions. Start to learn FPGA using schematics. Once you feel comfortable with the schematics, then move up to learn hardware description language like Verilog or VHDL. You can buy an FPGA starter kit for less than 100 dollars from third party vendor. I believe a lot of gaming gears made by hobbyist were created using FPGA with either Verilog or VHDL. Check out FPGA gaming website such as www.fpgaarcade.com TTL is good for building very small circuits only, like a full adder or BCD to 7 Segment Decoder. But it won't be practical to build a full game system with TTL since it will take too many chips, too many wires, too big of a breadboard and too many chances of making mistakes. However, having experience building circuits with TTL is still a very good way to have a "physical feeling" on logic design. I learned logic design first in college by using TTL before I moved to FPGA with schematics and Verilog. Good luck for your adventure!

Occasionally, I saw people selling 2600 joysticks with an explanation that said whether or not it had bite marks. I wonder why it is necessary. Is bite mark a common problem? And who bites the joystick? Is it the pet or do the gamers literally bite their joysticks after getting frustated with their games. Or is it the finger nail of the gamers that cause the mark?

Yeach, he only has one fb from a buyer. His shipping is not too far fetched though. I sent a game to the UK Global Priority Mail for $12. I could have sent it in a padded envelope but that would crush the box for sure, something that you don't want to happen for a rarity 10 game. My only suspicion with his auction are low fb from buyer and an overseas bidder with NTSC game. How do I know it's really NTSC? One needs to do more convincing job in selling expensive item.

Look again. It isn't a stock picture.

I have relisted my Atari 2600 Secret Quest item, this time with 50% lower starting bid. I also have a new listing, Atari 2600 Mario Bros 1st ver 1983. Please look at my other listings if you are interested. If you are a tech people, you might be interested with my TI DSP board. I will list it tomorrow. Stay tuned, thanks!

That's what I thought when I wanted to sell these games but I looked at the completed listings for my particular games and it seems that those who sold them seperately, very few of them sold.
-
Perhaps I should change that picture with another one that shows all 8 boxes. Perhaps the watchers made the same mistake you did
-
Thanks for your reply but I have 8 boxed games, not 4. Moreover, I always pay for Delivery Confirmation Number.
-
How come my item didn't sell Did I ask too much for the starting bid? There were 6 watchers for this item before it ended. What's wrong

I am selling Atari 2600 Secret Quest SEALED. I will ship the game to the US, Canada and Europe. Please check my other items also if you are interested. Thanks!

Actually, I like it. Now, if only he got thumbnails, more descriptive file name and a description of item's condition, it would have been perfect. See, one of the pic is the female connector of the joystick. I want to see that if I am going to buy an expensive mint heavy sixer joystick. Now, it may be overkill for cheap auction like this, but for more expensive auction, like vintage toy or vintage game, where even a single ding or paint chip would ruin the value, auction layout like his is the one I am looking for. Too bad most sellers are too lazy to give detail pics for very expensive items.
