New Cyberpunk game for Atari - Tokyo war
pseudografx replied to Stormtrooper of Death's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Unfortunatelly, I cannot get the original game running under Windows 10 64-bit edition. It is missing a dll file cncs232.dll. -
That's earlier than usual, but it should not be a problem. Looking forward to it!

Umm, I wonder what is the title screen for :-) Afterburner? Outrun?

Just wanted to ask how far are you with designing the case. Could you share any pictures already? -
1088XEL Atari ITX Motherboard Pre-order & Interest Thread
pseudografx replied to MacRorie's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
I am interested in one assembled, with or without case, depending on the looks :-) However, I might change my opinion if someone in Europe decides to do a batch. -
Xenon was already done in the 90's by no one else than Fred Brooker. http://asma.atari.org/asma/Composers/Oscadal_Filip/Brutal_Recall_Ingame.sap

Not exactly a player, but I offer two workarounds: 1) Either use asmadb search engine (http://asma.atari.org/asmadb/search.php ), which includes a SAP player, that was recently rewritten into HTML5; 2) Or use https://www.exotica.org.uk/mediawiki/index.php?title=Special%3AASMA where you can download ogg/mp3 files generated out of the songs.

Just for clarification, "mapy" is not a person's name, it's just how they say "maps" in Polish language

Not exactly games, but Karel programming language

Seems promising. I just wonder why does it use music from the Final Fantasy series.

I might find some time to attend. Just bring forward the rules :-) -
SDrive-Arm (SDrive2) issues/questions
pseudografx replied to gargoyle's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
I mailed Bob!k, who is the co-author of the original SDrive, with a link to this post so maybe he might be able to help you resolve this. -
That's why the Internets have invented the term "cumming" to avoid confusion
-
Oh, thanks! Than this thread can be deleted.

I was unable to find any mention of this at the forum so sorry if this has already been posted, but I have just found out that the Atari Turbo Basic source code had been released back in May 2017. You can find it here: https://atariwiki.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=TURBO-BASIC+XL#section-TURBO-BASIC+XL-SourceCode This could make for an interesting study material and maybe even for improvements to the Altirra Basic.

Thanks for the new release, though I hoped that my updated icon will find its way to it :-)

Out of curiosity, what is the total number of devices ordered? I really did not expect such a large customer base

SDrive-Arm (SDrive2) issues/questions
pseudografx replied to gargoyle's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Using a different DOS often helps. Under QMEG, for example, values up to $02 work well. Some Atari machines require a hardware hack on the SIO lines. I'm sure somebody here will know what has to be soldered there. Anyway, even at $06 the speed is quite decent, compared to stock 1050 (19200bps) or XF551 (38400bps). -
Looks good, but $15 is a little more than I'm willing to pay. I am also missing a feature of replacing a colour with a texture/bitmap, which I use quite often in Paint Shop Pro.
-
Somewhat unnecessary as the cheat codes from Diamondz are still working. You can find them on Fandal's site.
-
I just tried to make the transition smoother - one with lines and one with checkerboard pattern (that one would be harder to accomplish due to colour restrictions, but maybe still doable).
-
Quite nice, but why don't you make use of DLIs for the colour transition in the logo to show off Atari's colour capabilities?
