Intellivision Amico - Tommy Tallarico introduction + Q&A
Alpha82 replied to Tommy Tallarico's topic in Intellivision Amico
I am more excited about this system after the live event mostly because I showed my grandma some of the game play videos they showed such as Intellivision Spades, Cornhole and also explained the games that the system is coming with and how they worked and is excited to play 4 games we know are coming and she hasn’t played a video game since Tetris on NES -

Don’t hold me to this because it has been a long time but I think Tommy said they show a list of possible games and find out which excite the team and what their ideas are for those projects they are passionate about -

I hope eventually we can get a board game like Clue because thanks to the screen your check list could be on the controller this system has so much potential thanks to that unique controller design. on a separate note I’m really looking forward to the monthly q&a video series and the up coming controller spotlight. Man I had a question I wanted to ask but totally blanked on it. Even though I don’t have children as someone who spent several years working at a state licensed daycare I was happy to see the partnership with Sesame Street Workshop and I hope other educational properties will join suit I remember the kids getting really excited for educational time when we would use things like a Muppet themed educational game on the computer. Tommy any plans for maybe some Sesame Street themed interactive story book type games? -

Hard for me to say as I enjoyed all of it for different reasons I enjoyed the interviews because it gave us a look at the people working on the games and I enjoy looking at the human side of things. Tommy’s hardware bit and match 3 joke had me laughing a lot All the gameplay I saw looked like games I would either enjoy on my own or with friends or my grandparents probably my favorite gameplay videos for new games were Finnigan Fox, Ridge Force Redux Enhanced, Space Strike and Bomb Squad and I think my grandma will enjoy the Monster Spades game thanks to the characters i has a lot of fun watching and will be rewatching soon -

I’m so excited to have more information on the system I almost don’t care what we find out. I honestly thought my days of gaming on anything other than an original Intellivision or emulation were over after PS3 I bought my ps3 used from a friend and I don’t think I bought 10 total games for it and I didn’t play it that often because games took too long to figure out and I’d get bored. The came the email from Intellivision back I think in May 2018 that they would be making a new system and once the first interview with Tommy was released I’ve been following every since I’ve really enjoyed being on this ride and can’t wait to continue it tomorrow -

This is the type of thing that has made this journey with Intellivision so amazing getting early looks at game design and looks at prototypes not through leaks but first hand images from the head of the company along with direct questions about our thoughts on things really makes it feel like we are part of Intellivision as we go on this journey to bring Intellivision back to the world in a new and exciting way for many of us a dream we would have never thought possible. Thanks so much for bringing us on this ride. -

Hey Tommy I have an if question for you I’m not sure if you will have an answer yet or not but wanted to check. If the release date ends up getting moved will you be moving the final payment date for those of us that preordered the system or will the payment date still be September? -

Awesome story man and punctuated by the one and only Mr T. I remember in grade school I think second grade they held a contest anyone who could make it across the monkey bars during this one recess you received a prize of a Mr. T Eraser I was afraid of heights and with my cerebral palsy had a lack of coordination that also presented a problem but with some help I made it across the monkey bars for the one and only time in my life and got the eraser -

I just spent far too much time answering 10 questions that weren’t even trying to be impartial why did I do it I don’t really know I suppose because the way the questions were written pissed me off lol. I realize these people are not journalists or anything but questions should be impartial and focused on obtaining information one would think and not focused on trying to tear down and inflame the person that the questions are being aimed at. However I guess the days of treating people the way you would want to be treated are largely behind us. With all the negativity in the world today I don’t think like many will say we need Mr. Rogers now more than ever I think what we really need if we want to see change on the world is for the millions of people from the different generations who grew up with Mr. Rodgers to exemplify those things he thought us and be a force for positive change -

Looks like I picked a good time to step away for a couple weeks to recharge the batteries. I am very excited for Amico already buying things for it I will need I like being prepared but I was definitely feeling some overload and needed a break so I focused on my other big upgrade I’m working on putting together a quality record player set up so I could take my mind away for a while but now I’m recharged and ready for the next step -

I bought low latency headphones for like $40 on Amazon rarely ever have any issues and when I do it’s only a few seconds then it’s fine. I also use Velcro straps for cable management not really sure about the wall mounted part. I did swap to a thicker better quality audio cable for it though
