  1. nice shirts.... but $22 for a XXL ? *sigh*

These are printed in very small runs (25 to 50 shirts), so I don't get a volume price break on printing. The printing company charges $2 extra for 2XL, and 3XL sizes. These are printed in the USA from original 25 year old films from the Atari vault on to name brand 100% cotton shirts. They are not printed in China on toilet paper, like the shirts you can get at Target. These are the real deal.

  2. It's actually printed on the inside. That way, the sun won't fade the design........It's a sample shirt to show the type of shirt. I didn't have any samples printed on the ladies shirt.

Centipede shirts are ready to order. They are printed from the original films on 100% cotton shirts. They will be shipping early next week. I put up a quick and dirty order page at http://www.atarigames.com.

So, the graphic is printed on the back of the T as shown by the model wearing the green T with the blank front?

nah, im sure the picture is on the front of the shirt. that last pic is a generic picture to show what kind of shirt they print on... im pretty sure

I'm not going to make assumptions. I would hope that the graphic is on the front and if it actually is on the back then I will pass...

I too, am curious about this?? HHW

  3. Are there any Food Fight t-shirts left? I sent an email but never heard anything.

    Allan

Yep, There are a whole bunch. What size are you looking for?

XL. I would prefer a white one but black is fine. Plus I'd like to get a green Centipede shirt in XL as well.

    Allan

The Food Fight only comes in white. I'll send you a message with payment info.

  4. How many orders do you need for 5X. I'd really like to get in on this. If I have to buy a few extra, and perhaps resell a couple I may be willing to make it happen. I'm sure that there are plenty of bigger gamers that would love to have some of these. I know a few and most of them agree it's near impossible to find anything like this in larger sizes.

I need about 10 orders in the 2XL-5XL range to make this happen. 5XL blanks, can run $5-9 more than the XL and lower sizes. I have one taker for a 3XL right now.

  5. How'd you get a hold of original screens? They generally last a few hundred prints before you need a new one.

Why so many options? Would be easier to sell one option I figure.

I love both colors (black and ringer).

Good to know about American Apparel being the most comfortable. I have shirts to print sometime soon. People should probably know American Apparel tends to run a little tighter than others. IE: I'm usually an XL.

I have all the films for all Atari Coin-Op related products. See more pictures at this link-

People were bitching about having only one color, and then they were bitching about Beefy-T's.

  8. The Black widow Prototype board uses a SPINNER, THRUST and FIRE buttons. That is how it was originally designed by the designer. The Two joysticks were added as a compromise to the Gravitar hardware.

That would have been a different game then wouldn't it because you would not have been able to shoot in one direction while moving in another direction using that prototype control system. With Spinner Thrust and fire your spider would have been gliding around the screen like Asteroids and Gravitar.

    Yes, that is correct.

  9. The only reason people think it was 'like' Robotron was because of the dual joysticks. This game was originally designed to have it's own hardware. When Gravitar bombed in the arcades Atari had lots of operators complaining about the poor earnings, and also a large inventory of Gravitar boards. They needed something to convert the Gravitars to, and also needed to use up all the extra Gravitar boards. Since the Gravitar boards did not have support for a 'Spinner', like Tempest, the programmer had to change the controls over to something that was already supported by the Gravitar board. The might have been influenced by Robotron in the control scheme, but the game dynamic was very different with the 'spinner' along with 'fire' and 'thrust' buttons.

I actually have a Prototype Black Widow board that uses the 'spinner' , it's a very different game.

In Black Widow you have to complete enemy attack waves as in Robotron 2084.Also You have to pick up bonus Grubstakes before the Bugslayer got them. In Robotron 2084 you had to rescue Mikey Mommy and Daddy for bonus points before the indestructable Hulks got to them. Also you had to push off the eggs before they hatched which was similar to Williams other game from that year Joust.I would say the games had more than just their control systems in common.I don't see how a spinner would have worked in Black Widow unless it was mounted on top of a joystick like in (Nintendo's Sheriff/Exidy's Bandido) ?
