    It's none of those.

The system's name is the "XE System", and says so on the machine, keyboard, and manuals themselves. Rather bland, but there you have it.

All this Game System stuff was just packaging. There was a 65XE marketed as a "Game System" too. I think, in this case, Game System just meant that a lightgun and grey CX40 were included.

I agree 100%. It is NOT a useless game console, it's a computer. Yes, it can play Pac-Man. Ther's also Atariwriter, Syncalc, and the Print Shop.

  2. Schmitzi, your advice has nothing to do with my problem. You assume I have set up my account and got as far as dealing with the seller. I have not. I can not.

I am trying to set up contact information in my account. My ebay.ca account is not connected with my ebay.com account. The item is not for sale on ebay.com.

When I first try to tell ebay.ca where I live, trying to set up my account for the first time, before I can add shipping addresses or payment information, I have to give ebay contact information. The first item in their form is the country. It is set to Canada. I click on the list and select "United States." Ebay changes it back to Canada.

I'd post a screenshot but how?

  3. I would like to bid on an item, sold by a member of this forum, on ebay.ca, the Canadian version of ebay. I created an account, but when I try to add contact information, it doesn't work. I select United States, and ebay instantly changes it back to Canada. I don't live in Canada. What do I do to force ebay.ca to accept my location?

  4. What is the "best" CP/M card? By "best" I mean most features, fastest, most RAM, etc. I don't expect any one board to have the best of everything, but if we're going to put a 1977 operating system in a IIgs, let's grab all we can get.

The only advantage to the original cart was its "pass through" in case you wanted to plug in another cart.

    That's exactly what I want.

The first problem with the Atarimax Multicart is that it depends on a PC. That's almost as bad as using an emulator. I've never used an emulator and I'm not going to. I hate having the PC involved in the 8-bit network at all.

If I do give in and use Atarimax, there may be two more problems. I've been looking at the maxflash manual, and it tells how to install 8k cartridge images, but isn't Diamond a 16k bank switched cartridge?

If I'm going to set up a Multicart with Diamond, I'd also like to use OSS Basic XE, another pass though cartridge. Can Maxflash deal with bank swiched or pass through cartridges?

  6. I don't know how it happened, but when my C128 was in storage, all four F-keys were damaged. The key tops and springs are fine, but the plungers are cracked, causing the key to stay down when pressed. This makes it difficult to use the computer. I ordered replacement key plungers on eBay, and found out the hard way that different keys have different plungers.

Does anyone know where I can get original or reproduction (3D printed?) key plungers for the F-keys?
